The woman nodded, "Oh, that would be fine. I won't be keeping them forever anyhow-- it is tradition of my Order that we only keep those items which we need for our everyday lives."
Though, she made exceptions for the children, of course. Kisala had not taken the vows and did not deserve to have nothing simply because of her adoptive mother's position and beliefs.

Malas didn't further question the woman on what she meant by her "Order." It had nothing to do with the matter at hand so the bright-skinned criminal didn't deem it important. "I will be buying something here first, but after that I can escort you to our building."
Whether this meant she trusted Shiori enough to show her where she lived was the furthest thing on her mind. Like what Autsu said when he had first approached her about the Unit, it was a form of solidarity for their kind. Maybe this was the only way she knew how to show that? "Has a dark-skinned, winged boy approached you?" she asked.
