I have a demo spec warlock and a bm spec hunter.. I rule the AFK.

But seriously, the trick as a clothie is to try and wait out the Bestial Wrath and with all mages having Ice Block now... well... no excuse really.
I could be wrong. It's happened before. lol

I never said you were an AFK leveler. I meant that you are specced Demo and understand the potential for it & the similarities between both specs. I know. But I am an AFK leveller. gonk

I know that when i get pissed that hunters get buffed every patch, Blizz is watching me and laughing.
I think they do it on purpose to create controversy and anger toward hunters in the BGs.

I think they do it on purpose to create controversy and anger toward hunters in the BGs. Yes, because it's not like hunters were a completely useless class in PvE before the patch. They only do it to make kids like you angry.

You call BM hunters lazy. But in your original post you say: Suomi Hitto Usually i just go in and spam ice lance and arcane explosion Hahahahahah, I have to move around, i have to CC them, i have to hit more than 3 buttons. They have to stand there, they have the click there pets action bar ... im a BM hunter but usually try to Have my pet tank 2 or 3 mobs at the same time while i use aimed shot, multi shot, traps , arcane shot and stings... so how do you consider that lazy and I do use more then 3 buttons stare and you only said you used only 2 abilities ice lance and arcane explosion and isnt that only 2 buttons..

I must admit I do have a level 70 BM hunter. If you are an Ice Mage then you are not doing things right and let the pet kill you.
First of all, the pet will only exist if the hunter exist wink so... the trick is to take out the hunter.
Arcane explosion is nice since you can get TWO birds with one stone (if you have enough mana)
As an Ice mage, you could have done a couple of things,
Change your tactics against BM hunters
1. Use Frost nova, stop the pet in its track and then run up to the hunter and use either arcane explosion, or even frost bolt.
2. Use Ice Barrier (if you have it that far) to curb the damage from either attack. Make sure you use frost nova to keep the pet in check and just blast the hunter.
3. If the hunter use "The Beast Within" you can use ice block and ignore the damage while the buff wears out (last 18 seconds) Ice block only last 10 seconds but then you can hit frost nova to freeze in place or hit cold Snap and block again.
4. You can also put up another ice barrier between that time again.
and guess what? dead hunter. I PvP with my hunter in BG and usually ice mage defeats me (sometimes more like 50/50) because of some of the combination above. The ice barrier is a very nice spell to have. smile
BM hunters are not lazy (well some might be in your opinion) but you would need to adapt your tactics and beat your enemy.
Just purely spamming a spell or two will not guarantee a win.

Ice mages live forever.you are correct, but with the combination of frost nova, ice barrier, and ice block. You can time them and react accordingly and negate most of it and rinse and repeat with cold snap smile You cannot do ice block back to back (30 second delay) but during that time you still have ice barrier and frozen nova. Not to mention chill effect from cone of cold or frost bolt. I met several PvP Ice mage and they can one on one vs hunter, warrior, or lock. Lock is harder because all the DoT will likely kill you. But yea.. Ice mage is nothing to be trifle with smile top that off... ice mage get their own pet for a short time smile (last 45 second) but cold snap can reset that again smile

It is my opinion that no matter what class of character you have, and no matter where you put your training points, there are going to be some people who find ways to do s**t like that and basically cheat without cheating through the game. It is annoying no matter what class they are, although i admit, hunters who let thier pet do everything is really really annoying and n00bish, they are not the only class who gets that way.

It is annoying no matter what class they are, although i admit, hunters who let thier pet do everything is really really annoying and n00bish, they are not the only class who gets that way. The thing is that there is a different way to play PvE vs PvP. PvE is very predictable and you can use any class with any talent to beat with patterns. PvP is a totally different way of fighting. You have to know your character's weakness and strength. you have to utilitize a lot of your skills and power to win a fight. If it is 1 vs 1 or 20 vs 20, working against your enemy's weakness will allow you to win. The problem is that a lot of people who doesn't have much problem leveling in PvE does NOT equal they will rule the PvP world. That is a lot of people's mistake. The OP said only spam 2 spells. What level is he? 3? (which you can't get those spells at level 3) but he has a whole library of spells. The hunter may be "lazy" and use only 1 skill and 1 pet then take advantage of that (posted above) I can assure you that I don't win a lot of 1 vs 1 fight in BG (when I'm alone guarding) against another player coming at me being a BM hunter. It takes most of my skills to even beat most mages, paladin (they are a pain) or Warrior. When i duel hunters, Arena them, or fight them in BGs i go straight to them using dots and drain life. The pet isnt a problem unless people are trying to cast long things.

When i duel hunters, Arena them, or fight them in BGs i go straight to them using dots and drain life. The pet isnt a problem unless people are trying to cast long things.You should stop complaining about hunters if you don't know how to beat them. Always try to immediately fear the pet. If you have instant howl of terror talent, you get near the hunter if you can and use howl of terror to fear them both. Then you DoT up the hunter. But you have to try and remove the pet from the battle ASAP, it's half of the hunter's DPS.

That is very deadly to me. The above strategy is for Ice mage vs BM hunter. Now of course marksman hunter or survival hunter is a totally different story. smile but still... you just have to know who are you fighting with and adjust accordingly.
