[20:32] KuroiNekoDuo: Kibela was currently wandering about the lands of the pride - having only gotten back -in- here just yesterday. Then he'd chosen a spot to sleep (ignoring Raviv's chattering) and had gotten some rest. Now, he crawled out of the little cave he'd found and shook fur out, frowning. Just what all had been going on here while he was stuck outside...? He needed to find out. Which meant that he needed to find someone to talk to - as antisocial as he was normally.

Ruffling feathers a bit, Raviv swooped down from the perch he'd slept on to land lightly on the large lion's shoulder. With a clack of his beak, the kestrel looked about rapidly. "So what's on the agenda t'day, boss?" he asked, with a little tilt of his head.

Good gods, did the bird have to speak all the time? "Going to try to find out what's been happening," Kibela rumbled in reply, voice low - almost but not quite annoyed. In a way, he really did like the small raptor.
[20:57] SanLona: It was funny, but Ngao had never liked the caves commonly found within the lands. She had always prefered the sunshine and the wide, open skies overhead. But now, sight lost, she found the caverns a strange comfort. In the open it was difficult to manuver, though she was making great progress moving about the lands and using Hofu's help only when she had to. But within the tight knit walls of stone she could hear more acutely, feel the vibrations more firmly through her paws, and could in that way "see" much better than normal.

So, after hours of training and patroling as she attempted to adapt to her new self, she returned to the nearest cave to rest. She knew it would be cool there and she would have no worries of keeping an overly alert pair of ears.

Hofu, disliking such enclused places but making no complaint, rode on her back as she loped lightly along the stone. On occasion his wings would open for balance, his body rocking as hers did. When she suddenly stopped he nearly had to take flight, craning his head around to see what had paused her progress.

Blinking blindly Ngao stared at nothing, though she smelled among the limestone the scent of another lion, fresh and strong. Her ears, too, rang with the echos of the voices and breaths.

"Who's there?" she called out, unable to identify the voices' carriers due to the slight distortion of sound.
[21:02] KuroiNekoDuo: ( they'd know each other from before, right? XD XD )
[21:03] SanLona: ( xD I would assume so, yes )
[21:05] KuroiNekoDuo: By that point, Kibela had gone out of another exit of that cave system - but turned at the voice, spinning quickly with the natural grace of one who had been trained to fight almost his entire life. When he saw who it was, though, his eyes widened a little. Gods, what had she gotten herself into recently..? All those scars...

"Ngao..." he rumbled softly, ears coming up toward her.

"Who's she, boss?" Raviv almost immediately put in - reaching up to tug on an ear gently.

Kibela didn't answer, but made a little warning noise at the bird. Later. He would explain later.
[21:14] SanLona: She stared, her ears focusing intently on the tone of voice in its brief speech. Newly adpating to using her other senses more keenly, it took her a moment to place who it was that stood before her. Finally she gave a small nod of her head.

"Kibela. Welcome back," she acknowledged. Many of the members such as he had been separated from the pride's turmoil after the earthquake. Some had not returned and she was never sure how many would. But it was a relief to see another fellow guardsman back. After all the recent violence, she wished to give no lapse to security. Not that she had done so before.

Hofu blinked his eyes in the low light, but soon began to barely make out the figures of another guard and his companion. Satisfied with this he asked no questions, only shifting a little so he could better observe from the Captain's back.
[21:23] KuroiNekoDuo: Kibela almost started to ask a question about what had happened to her, but then decided that was maybe also best saved for later and kept his maw shut for a moment. He wasn't yet aware that Ngao couldn't see - though he suspected as much, from those scars over her face.

Raviv, however, wasn't so discreet. "What the hell happened t'you, lady?" he piped up - and Kibela fought the urge to slap a paw over his face.
[21:28] SanLona: "I was not strong enough," she answered simply, knowing it was not Kibela asking but deciding to indulge his bird anyway. It wasn't as if it wasn't common knowledge among the pride. He was sure to soon discover what had happened recently and the losses they had suffered.

"Much...has happened," she added, her a little sorrowful when it was usually rather controled and simple. She still ached over the loss of some of their members. It was hard not to, not when she felt responsible. As Captain, was not it her duty to protect others? She tried not to think of it. Hifadhi had said it was not good of them to blame themselves. She tried her best to stay away from such dark thoughts.
[21:40] KuroiNekoDuo: Kibela made a little reproachful noise at Raviv and shrugged his shoulder a little to unbalance the bird as a way of further showing his displeasure. Raviv just squawked indignantly - flaring wings but settling again when Kibela went still again. He did stay quiet for the next few minutes, though.

"I can see that... " he murmured in reply to the Captain. "What ... damage did the quake do here? I was trapped outside."

Spinning, he ran off into the darkness, taking the first turn he came across, confident he could find his way out from where ever it was that he was currently exploring. After a few minutes of running, the cub slowed to a trot and then a walk, looking for the best hiding place.

Amin was using his nose in an attempt to find his siblings now, and though he could smell...at least one of them, there was an odd scent to the air now, one that he could almost taste, but he decided to ignore it, going towards the one brother that he could smell, Usare, actually...if he found one brother, then the second one surely couldn't be -too- far behind, right?

"C'mon, Usare! We gotta go help him!" Barrelling in the direction of the other's voice, he sent rocks and other various debris flying as his paws scrabbled to get solid footholds in his mad dash for his brother.

Drathir was running blindly and nearly barelled into Amin in his flight. "The demooon! It's huge! It's eye! Hot!" He ran around the other, tugging him in the other direction, "Don't go that way! It's that way!" He just wanted to find his parents and be safe... away from the big monster.

Usare charged after Amin, nearly running into Drathir when they all met each other. "Wait, what demon? What eye?" he called out, turning around in wild circles as he tried to follow Drathir's movements. With a sudden growl, he pounced on the other. "Hey!
