Slashbabies. Ones created thus far: Verera- first Rubykun- since deleted permanently Arerev- third. Twin of Verera Severneya- fourth. No longer under my care. By looking at the names, it's pretty easy to tell they are all impersonations between two people, with the exception of Arerev, which is Verera backwards.

Thank you, DV. ^.^
I have a question. If auto-refresh is used, thats botting, right? But Mozilla offers an auto-refresh function which is really useful to use when you're in a fast paced thread. Is it bad to use it if you're sitting right there and not just trying to get gold?

Do you know how many people don't know what botting is? crying I didn't, until a friend of mine was banned for it. And then another recently as well, but she didn't know what it was until she was banned for it. Is there any way to get the word out about what it is and how its bad?

Jassinm In the name of all newbies, I ask, what is botting? Auto-refresh. Using any program to refresh a page or post something over and over for the sake of getting gold. crying Pretty much, using a program that does something for you on Gaia while you're not here. At least to my understanding.

Kiichan: I wouldn't risk it with the auto-refresher. People I know have been banned for using that feature on other browsers, so I think it's safe to say it's against the TOS.
Jassinm: If you're pressing it yourself, that wouldn't be botting. Unless you're a 'bot. domokun

Jassinm How do They know if you're reshreshing manually or botting? eek If done right, they don't. My dad (a computer programmer) actually wrote a successful bot for shopping on Neopets. His autoshopper refreshed the page at a random rate not much faster than an actual person would do it. If a good item showed up, it went on to "click" it and buy it---again, the same input a real person would give. It was untraceable. Pure Economist genius. heart ...of course, then Neopets put in all sorts of security measures that his program couldn't get around, but he never did get caught. *cough* I mean, it was unmodly and wrong. ninja Just don't do it---it doesn't pay NEARLY as well on a civilized site like Gaia.

Most botters refresh at regular intervals for days on end. When they see someone who's posted bump every fifty-three seconds for the last three days, it gets obvious. Or when they see someone refreshing forever and ever for hours on end, its obvious. Don't ask me how they can see when someone refreshes- I'm not that smart.

*whistle* See? This is where it -begins!- Gotta n** it in the bud. Perhaps I'll just coat Mory in chutney, and drag her over to Moru's pen.
