Iyemina, though still standing closely, barely understood the words of the young child.
Then, she decided to watch the other woman instead. She was acting far too quite, and the sorrow grew suspicious. What was Imogen hiding?
Wait....how did she know the woman's name?

Ennui was tired, if his yawning were any indication. For some reason it seemed like he wasn't getting any sleep. Often after waking up he felt dead on his feet, and more irritated then usual with the cherubs, which incidentally were nipping at his heels for ice cream. Sighing he eyed them behind his cloth wondering when and how he got himself into the business of babysitting.
Shrugging the thought aside he noticed in his line of sight an ice cream shop. "Look there, salvation." He pointed to the shop. Seconds later each of the children ran off save for the oldest. Reaching into his robes he handed off some cash to the oldest and sent him on his way. "Stay where I can see you." He warned them then went off on his own to find a quieter area where he could enjoy some time alone.
It was only by chance that the wind blowing his way picked up on the scent of smoke and ash. Something inside him began to stir which only piqued his curiousity. Why was he suddenly... excited?

Imogen was glad the girl was unharmed...but the child's strange behavior was alarming. Or maybe it was just how children where? It had been so long since Imogen had been that age. And her brother had never been a 'typical child'. She decided to worry later, and just keep an eye on her for now. Time to make the best of new acquaintances.
She smiled. "Ah! I do believe I forgot to introduce myself. I am Imogen Vian. Might I know your names?" It felt good using her maiden name again. She'd been cooped up too long since her last outing. And the gaze of the brunette was making her a little uneasy. If the strange woman knew who Imogen was and who she was married to...there could be problems. Problems Imogen didn't want, especially not now.

Iyemina raised an eyebrow. Something very suspicious was going on. She scratched her head, and ran her fingers through her long hair. "My name is Iyemina. It is a pleasure to meet you." She shot her hand out for a shake. Usually, she told people that it would be fine to call her simply 'Mina' but...
A chill ran down her spine. She sensed something....someone. Slowly, her eyes moved towards the door. Ennui, was her first thought and then Seidus...could it be?
Her focus was to the outside, hearing many voices, including laughter from children. A smile curled on Mina's lips. Her eyes moved back to Imogen. "I think I can hear an old friend outside."

Cautiously eying her ward, Marie ventured a smile. Chione looked to be in as good a form as ever. The joy of youth! They always did bounce back so quickly. Her conscience twanged, quietly reminding the guardian that the child still suffered from something, but the fact that Chione wasn’t displaying any strong emotion did much to quench any warning flares.
Crunch. Chione munched on the remaining fragments of the ice cream cone. Marie’s worries evaporated.
“I’m Marie- Marie-Analiese Orbase- and this here is Chione,” she said, nodding an official greeting to both Imogen and Iyemina. “I would offer my hand, but I’m afraid it’s rather... unsanitary,” she continued, glancing down at the messy body part which was marred from holding the ice cream earlier.
