Rain glanced at Shade, "When you stare at me like that you kindda freak me out." She growled turning back to the sky to find any sign of the pack. Still nothing. She felt eyes burning into their back and she turned around to see who it was but no one was there, "I think some ones here..." She whispered to Shade staring into the darkness.
It was nighttime and she was sure it was probably one of the pack but they would just come out and show themselfs instead of hide. She glanced at Shade.

(thats good to know, at least hes sane huh? ^^).

Rain sat down next to him staring at the darkness now regretting that she couldn't see like the others. She flinched when she heard something break a twig. She narrowed her eyes but saw nothing. She remained quiet as not to disturb Shade.

Gain flinched too and ducked under and the bat wasn't kidding, there in front of him was a child a little boy with tear smudges on his face as he walked into the clearing wear Shade and Rain were. The little boy froze.

Rain stared at the boy and glanced at Shade, "No kidding?" She asked sarcastically and went up to the boy but he took a step back afraid and she stopped, "Wait we're only here to help." She said bending back down with both her hands out so the boy could see them. The boy scand both of them then started crying ran forward an hugged Rain and she picked him up shushing him and turned to Shade and sat down next to him, "What do you think happened to him?" She asked looking worried.

Rain looked at Shade and then the boy and got up narrowing her eyes at him, "We have to find his family." She said holding the sobbing boy, "If we have to go the police then thats what we're going to do, its not like their going to tell us, 'Oh, you have to take your shirts off so we can check for weapons' or something." She said sighing afterward and went up to Shade, "You and I both know how it feels to be lost from home with no family and I don't want any other kids feeling like us." She said looking at him, "Come on, "She said grabbing his hand with her empty hand and they walked to the police department.

Gain smiled in the shadows and disappeared.

At the police department they settled down in the chairs waiting for their turn to talk to the sherif. Rain was shifting in her seat uncomfortibly staring at all the police officers passing them and glanced at Shade with a "Maybe this wasn't the best idea" look. A police officer came up, he had blond hair and blue eyes with a friendly smile on his face, "I can help you at my desk." He said looking from Shade to Rain. thye followed him into his office wairily and watched him sit down, "Please take a seat." He said smiling and rain sat down on a chair in front of the desk still on high alert. Something wasn't right with this guy. She told herself staring at the police officer trying to keep her face emotionless. The officer smiled, "Now what can I help you with?" He asked eyes shinning. Rain gulped putting her words strait in her head before saying them aloud. "This boy was found crying and lost." She said carefully. The police nodded writing it down, "Where was he when you found him?" He asked not looking up from writing.
Rain looked at Shade then back at the officer, "Ummm, near the city park." She said gulping. The officer looked up now with a confused look on his face, "What were you doing out there at this time of night?" He asked his face suspisious. Rain frowned and put on the sadest face she could make, "Or dog ran into the woods and we're not sure where he went." She explained making it sound completely real. The officer nodded and wrote it down, "Might I ask what your dog looks like?" He asked curiously. Rain wanted to roll her eyes with frustration, "He has long golden fur up to my knee with brown eyes." She explained not really sure where it came from.
"I see." the police said standing up and Rain had the aching feeling to get up but staid where she was. The officer took off his hat and placed it on the desk and walked over to Shade and Rain, "So your dog was a golden retrever?" /he asked smiling at Rain with a crazy smile forming on his face. Rain knew what was going on and jumped out of the seat when the officer grew claws and broke the chair with his fist and Rain ran behind Shade holding the sleeping boy. The officer smiled when he turned into an Earaser and lunged at Shade with his claws outstreched...

(lol! Wow! Now thats long!)

Rain panted and sighed, "Well we'll jsut have to hope for now becuase we have to do something with this kid." She said glancing at the forest under them, "Lets land." She said landing with Shade and put the boy down and watched him curl up into a protective ball. She shook her head and covered her face, "This is great, no sign of the pack and now Earasers know where we are and at this point we have to take care of a little boy." She said pulling her hand off her face with wide eyes, "What if the boy has a tracking device?" She asked staring with scared eyes at Shade and then looked back at the boy who was rolled onto his back spraled out staring at them with eyes to big for his face and too round to be human and they blinked sideways then down and re-opened like that. rain took a step back hitting Shade and she jumped when she touched him looked at him then back at the kid who was still curled up like a ball sleeping and she looked at Shade fear giving her goosebumbs. She stared at the kid then Shade, "You saw that right?" She asked in wide fearful eyes. Her wings feathers sticking up in shock...

Rain rolled her eyes n=making the feather on her wings go down and she bent down in front ot the little boy staring at him as he stared back at her. She smiled at him and picked him up and sat on a rock holding him on her lap smiling at him, "Are you going to talk to me?" She asked with calm loving eyes while the kid sat there staring at her and tears started to flow down his cheeks and he curled in her lap and cryed on her chest and she gently shushed him and pat his head, "Its okay, just tell me whats going on." She said to the little boy. The boy stopped crying and looked up at her with wide scared eyes, "White people grabbed me and did stuff to me and it hurt." He whinned quietly and she shushed him again, "Its alright. Your fine now." She said putting her cheek on his head while he cryed and rabbed his back and head shushing him and then there was a crack in the woods, "Shade?" Rain called and then glared at the trees, "Come on don't play this." She growled and the boy looked up his eyes huge on his face and he looked into the darkness and pushed himself into Rain and started yelling like crazy.
Rain jumped off the rock when a figure jumped out of the shadows and broke the rock with giant claws. Rain growled holding the boy close to herself when she saw that there were Erasers all around them. "Go away!" She hissed at them holding the boy close. One Eraser lunged forward and grabbed the boy from out of Rain's hands and Rain's eyes grew wide with shock, "No!" She yelled as she was held back by four other Erasers and had to watch as they killed the boy right in front of her.
"NO!" She yelled tears now streaming from her eyes, "SHADE!" She screamed into the night air as they got ready to kill her too...

Rain gulped down her sarrow and elbowed one in the ribs breaking them and slamed her hands over anothers ears making a loud pop noise and the two went running and she hit one in the leg breaking its leg and kicked it in the side hearing another crack from a rib. They all started to retreat and Rain stared at the ground trying her hardest to suck up her pain and stared at the dead boys scared face and ran and hugged Shade not knowing what she really did, "I couldn't save him..." She sniffed still trying to suck it up.

Rain stared at Shade, "What about the pack?" She asked looking at the dark night sky they were headed toward. When they went through the clouds up into the sky Rain pushed herself out of Shade's arms and opened her wings and gained alttitude and flew next to him, "Sorry about back there." She said trying not to look at shade, "I shouldn't care about the kid like that, we hardly knew him." She said shaking her head pushing her mind somewhere else.
