Skylar stretched out his wings and smiled, shaking his head. "I gathered as much about you. And in all honestly, don't care. Be as blunt as you want. Its so much easier to understand a blunt person then one who doens't speak their mind. And besides, i have been devoid of any real company for a while...Just...be yourself. And i'll be myself...and if we find we cannot stand being around each other then we will go seperate ways." he smiled. "Best not force a friendship if we find we really do bother each other." he smiled. But until we bore of each other lets be friends, sound good?" He hoped it soundd good to her. Sounded good to him.

A genuine smile spread across Fiona's face as he spoke. Maybe this trip would be better than she had originally thought. At first she wasn't exactly sure why she was offering to go with him. It had been more of a whim than anything. Just a reason to try and have some conversation, make a new friend. And it had worked. Now she was actually going to go with him. Maybe they would become great friends. And if they didn't? No harm done. Not really. It would be no different then it was now, except that she would have a few more stories to tell. Not that she had anyone to tell them to. Or many to tell really. She had met a few odd Nequus here and there. Nothing very exciting though.
"So where exactly are we going?" She asked curiously. "Did you have anywhere particular in mind?" If she was going to be going with him, then she might as well know where they were going. Or they would need to figure that out before they left in any case.

"Well....i usually never have a plan of where i am going...." He looked around. Turning around in a circle he closed his eyes, before he stopped, facing a diffrent direction. "The wind is blowing from that way so..." he turned around. "Lets go in the opposite direction. See where it leads." He smiled. He honestly hated planing out a trip. Made him all antsy and he had to follow through with it all. No plan ment detores, or a diffrent desitination was ok.
"Does that work for you?" he asked, looked at her again. He hoped he really hadn't annoyed her with his lack of accually thinking about a place to go. He didn't want to find out they couldn't be friends until he knew more about her.

No plan? Fiona had always been one to stick to a plan. Then again her 'plans' had never really gotten her anywhere had they? "Well, I am rather used to knowing where I'm going at least, or some sort of plan or path to follow, but you know what? To hell with it. For once I'm going to just go on a whim." She smiled a little. The green Ichsa mare sighed a little. She hoped she hadn't offended him. She tended to just blurt things out without thinking. "Yeah, sorry 'bout that. One again I am rather blunt."

"I'm starting to like you more and more Fiona!" He smiled. He was far from offended. The fact that she would go outside her comfort zone and change her normal rythm, it was a big thing to him. It ment she wasn't a rock. She would change, she would bend and twist with the world around her. Being blut ment nothing to him. It was easier to understand somones real personality when they were blunt. But this one. She was blunt but not solid.
"Trust me Fiona, no need to apologize. In fact i beg you, don't apologize for anything you say. Any thoughts, feelings. You should not have to hide them and be sorry for them. You have a mind, which is good. And your not some dumb rock. Your more like...water. Your smarter, Water is so much smarter then rock. It bends, it sees how boring the routine can be and will deside to break out of that. Accually, more like ice. that melts and turns to the flowing water, but before it can be like the rock...." he cut himself off and flushed. "Uh...yeah..." He had just been babbling on and on and he must have sounded like an idiot. "Yeah..."

Her eyes lighted up at his words. At least she wouldn't have to pretend to be someone she wasn't around him. In fact, she could probably say whatever she wanted and he would be fine with it. Though she was not going to test that theory. His words had made her a little more chearful. The fact that he thought she was actually worth something made her feel special. Not that she really was special, but it felt nice knowing that he thought well of her.
She stood in silence a few moments and studied the area around them. The clouds were begining to darken slightly and the sun was starting to vanish behind them. It was only mid-day, but it looked as if the weather wasn't going to stay nice very long. If they set out now they might make pretty good time and find a nice place to take shelter before dark. Then again, the cave Fiona had found was rather nice, however primitive, and would provide shelter from the rain and wind for the night. Why rush things? They had no where that they needed to be, they weren't in any hurry.
"Well, it looks as if it might start raining soon. I've got a nice little cave I found last night. We could take shelter there, it'll provide enough warmth and protection for the night. That will give us all day tomorrow to travel." She waited a few moments for his reply.

Skylar figited a bit at her silence. Did she think him a fool? He wouldn't blame her, he had sounded odd. he watched her, trying to imagine what she was thinking about. He was never good at reading others. Now he wished he was.
As she spoke, however, he relaxed and had to keep himself from laughing aloud at his own foolishness. He smiled and nodded. "That sounds splendid. Getting soaked and possibly sick will definatly hinder any plan of travel. Lead the way, my lady." He bowed, acting a bit silly. He had his serious moments, and he had his not so serious moments. Right now he was trying to get rid of his own self embaressment and perhaps make his new companion laugh.

The Ichsa mare smiled and turned slowly. SHe had been afraid that he would reject her. That he would not want to spend the night with her. It could be rather akward. They hardly knew each other and here she was, leading him back to her cavern. Well, it didn't necessarily mean anything. In any case it was getting dark and she did not want to stay out in the rain and cold.
She turned her head to him before moving off. "You coming? It's over this way." She called to him and then moved off in the direction of her shelter. It wasn't anything special. It wasn't even really all that warm, but it would keep most of the cold out and no rain would reach them there. Moving slow enough for Skylar to keep up and yet fast enough to not take too long, she trotted off to shelter.
