Damaris smiled and quickly darted off to find a place to hide. She scoped around the halls as she snuck around. First she thought it'd be the best hiding spot to hide in the girls bathroom! But then again that might be too good, and a little mean. She hurried along down the hallway looking for another good place to hide.

Finally Damaris came across a flight of stairs, 'Perfect!' She thought as she scurried underneathe the stair-well. She scootched herself up against the back of the stairs as best as she could. She thought her hiding place was brilliant! Even though she didn't realize if Anoki came from the other direction she could easily be spotted.

Myung-Ki raced past Damaris, though he did note where she was hiding. If he got found first, he wanted to know where she was. Not that he would tell Anoki, of course. It would be just another thing that he knew, but his person didn't.

There were so many places, but which was per- aha! Spotting an open window with a tree branch outside, Myung-Ki snorted happily. It wasn't technically leaving the floor, but he doubted Anoki would find him anytime soon!

"Fifty-nine... s-sixty! Ready or n-not, here I come!"

Anoki opened his eyes and looked around. Though he doubted either of them had hidden in the room, it didn't hurt to check. He shifted some of the pillows and peeked behind the chairs, but it was obvious that he was the only one there. Still, he was a bit excited by the game. "I'm going to f-find you!" he called, running out into the hall, his hooves clopping against the floor with each step.

Damaris heard Anoki coming, she made sure she kept extremely still and quiet. She kept as flat up against the back of the stairs as she could, not wanting to be found before Myung-Ki. Unfortunetly her hiding spot was no where near as clever.

There were lots of doors. Most of them were open, so Anoki looked inside each one quickly for clues, but didn't see anything worth inspecting further. A few were closed, and upon further investigation, locked. Anoki kept moving, keeping his eyes open. There was a staircase, but they weren't allowed to change floors, so he walked past it, his eyes on an open door across the hall.

It was a bit of a struggle to climb onto the tree limb from the window, but Myung-Ki made it. The branch was wobbling slightly under his weight, but as long as he stayed still, it wasn't too bad. He stuck close to the branch, trying to appear part of it in case Anoki looked out the window. Not likely, since his red scales weren't very good camouflage, but Myung-Ki hadn't thought that far yet.

Damaris stifled a giggle as she watched Anoki wander past her hiding spot. She had eluded him for right now, she seemed very proud of herself. She waited and listened. Hoping to hear some sound that indicated Anoki finding Myung-Ki before he came back around and eventually would find her. Hide and Seek was always a game that made her anxious. The suspense is what had made it so fun.

Was that a noise? Anoki started to turn around, but another, much louder noise interrupted him.

CRACK.

Myung-Ki jerked- or rather, the branch he was clinging to did, as it started to break under his weight. Startled, he scrambled for the window, but his extra movement only made the branch crack even more. Why hadn't he learned to fly yet?

Whatever that noise was, Anoki thought, his dragon was probably behind it. Breaking something. "Myung-Ki, st-stop that!" he shouted, looking all around. What was he up to this time?

Damaris heard the noise as well, she was a little curious so she carefully peeked her eyes out to see if she could get a glimpse of what was going on. She was thinking that Myung-Ki might have accidentally knocked something over, giving away his hiding spot. Victory was so close at hand! So she thought.

The branch was hanging at a decided angle now- well below the window's viewpoint. Which was good for hiding, but bad for recruiting rescuers. Now Myung-Ki was decidedly nervous- just a little- and let out a frightened squeak. He needed help, and fast!

Drat, where was Myung-Ki hiding? Not in any of the rooms, by the sound of it. He turned around, rubbing his hair frantically. If he didn't find his dragon soon, the red would get both of them in some serious trouble!

It was then that he spotted a nose peeking out from behind the staircase. Quite by chance, really, but Anoki wasn't worrying about that. He marched over quickly and looked, but it was Damaris, not Myung-Ki.

Still, that meant an ally! "Damaris! C-can you help me f-find Myung-Ki?"

Drat! She had been found, "Darn, you found me." She with a laugh coming out from under the staircase, "Alright, I'll help you find him, since I lost anyhow. We don't want him to be waiting around for us for too long." Damaris answered looking around the hall.

"Hmm, I wonder where he went off to." She said, "I remember seeing him run off that way," She said pointing down the hall, "but I didn't see where he hid."

"I'm s-sorry?" Anoki apologized tentatively. That was the goal of the game, wasn't it? But there were more important issues at hand. Myung-Ki was still loose, and he would probably get into all sorts of trouble. Why did he even let the dragon go? It was such a mistake.

When Damaris pointed down the hall, he lit up slightly. "Really? Then let's g-go," he blurted, hurrying back down the hall. He had to find Myung-Ki before the dragon made a huge mess- and he got all the blame.

There was another crack, somewhat less earsplitting. The branch was maybe half-attached to the tree now, but Myung-Ki was probably twice as stuck to the branch as he was initially. Even though they weren't that high up, there wasn't anything under him to cushion his fall... and if he did fall, it would hurt. A lot.

Damaris followed along behind Anoki, "You seem real worried, something wrong?" She asked curiously. She wasn't sure why Anoki was being so paranoid, then again she didn't know Myung Ki. She unfortunately hadnt seen the dragon climb out the window, but at least they were heading in the right direction now.

Worried? Well, that was one way to put it. Anoki had never confided his concerns in anyone, fearing that they would ignore him, or think less of him. But she asked, so he felt that she was owed some kind of answer.

"H-he always does th-this," he muttered, not ceasing in his search. "He g-gets into tr-trouble, and th-then I get bl-blamed for it. And... he just d-doesn't know how t-to behave, no matter wh-what I d-do." It wasn't for lack of trying on Anoki's part. He tried to teach Myung-Ki, by example, by instruction, and by physical force, if necessary. It was his duty, after all.

Okay, Myung-Ki had to admit it- he was scared. He didn't want to move too much, since the last time he'd tried that, it had only made things worse. But he had to signal somehow. As the branch continued to creak, he waved his tail around, hoping it wouldn't create too much movement, and that someone would see it from the window.

Damaris frowned a little, poor Anoki. She felt bad, Anoki already seemed rather skittish, she could imagine how frightened he must get when he gets into trouble. "That's not fair...I bet Myung-Ki doesn't mean it though. He's still a little dragon, I bet he just wants to make you happy." She said encouragingly, something she had always ended up doing was assume the best, something that might hurt her in the long run.

As they talked Damaris noticed a streak of red from the corner of her eye, "Huh?" She said looking towards the window, she waited to see if she saw it again or if it was just her imagination.

In Anoki's opinion, if Myung-Ki wanted to make him happy, he could start by listening once in a while. Not all the time of course, but even one time in ten would be an improvement. But his dragon seemed to take more pleasure in making him squirm. Still, Damaris was right about one thing. Myung-Ki was still young, barely even hatched... maybe they would both learn how to do better in time.

That settled, he saw Damaris rush off and followed anxiously. He hadn't seen anything, but once he got closer, he spotted a tail. "M-Myung-Ki! What?"

Finally! It was about time they found him. If Myung-Ki was a talker, he would have requested help immediately. But he wasn't, so he just growled desperately and waited for them to do whatever it took to keep him from falling to what looked like certain doom.

"Myung-Ki?" Damaris said some what confused that the dragon had left the building, "Oh no, Anoki look!" Damaris said as she pointed to the limb that Myung-Ki was holding onto, it looked like it could give out at any moment.

"We have to help him Anoki!" Damaris said obviously making this situation more dire then it really was. She reached out the window and offered Myung-Ki her hands, "C'mon Myung-Ki."
