:: As Renegade looked to launch Hart across the ring, Bret would in turn attempt to grip onto the opponent's wrist tight and pivot around to pull Renegade in! This would soon be followed with Hart going to drill a low dropkick into Renegade's left knee! ::

:: And so it begins. With the weakness created, Hart looked to exploit it for what it was worth. Stalking after Renegade, Hart would lean down to pull up the left leg. From here, he'd isolate it further by attempting to drop an elbow right across that knee joint! In fact, if the first one was successful, Hart would stand right back up and try to repeat the elbow drop to the knee once more! ::

Renegade's knee was getting worked, and he knew if he wanted to keep any chance he had in this at the beginning of the match he'd have to fight back. Once the second elbow drop conncted, Renegade went to grab Bret's hair and and pull his head back, then go for a hard forearm to the chest.

:: The referee admonished Renegade for the hairpulling, and Hart just clutched his chest with a wince, rolling away from the opponent for now. Shaking off that last blow just a bit, Hart moved back in at the opponent, this time just going for a straight stomp into Renegade's left knee! ::

Renegade drug himself out of the area of Bret's foot. He quickly stumbled to his feet, his knee still hurting from the dropkick. Renegade adjusted his knee pad, and stepped up to Hart, walking off the pain. Renegade went for a hard right shot.

:: Though Renegade avoided the stomp, Hart was not going to wait for Renegade to recover. As Renegade stepped back up to him, Bret immediately looked for the single-leg takedown, attempting to retake control of Renegade's left leg! ::

:: Keeping that leg in his grasp, Hart now went back to work on that knee. Bret stood up and held up the leg, attempting to blast a few stomps into the back of the man's knee. With the success of this, Hart would drop to the canvas and drag Renegade over to the ringpost in the corner. Sliding out of the ring, Bret pulled the leg away before trying to bash that kneejoint against the post! Though it was technically illegal, Bret needed to do what he needed to do to loosen Renegade up for the Sharpshooter later on. ::

Renegade acted quickly, pulling his foot free and try to kick Bret away. Hoping he could keep his knee in decent condition throughout the match.

:: Hart held on solidly as Renegade attempted to kick him away, but perhaps that worked against him as he was shoved back in a stumble against the turnbuckled corner! Shaking that off, at this point, Hart walked back to try and pull Renegade up off the canvas by the head .. ::

:: And the clothesline came forward before Bret could do anything! He'd take the bump onto the canvas and just lay there for a few moments, blinking up at the lights. The only thing that made Hart dangerous at this point was that he was constantly thinking. ::
