Before Holiday could even process what was going on he was on his back looking up at Tranquility. He couldnt even fathom what had, or how it had happened.
"Ummm..?" Holiday found him self dumb struck again but this time on his back. A laugh echoed from the back of his throat. "Hello, nice to see you again Tranquility," Being a smart a** was second nature to him.

Tranquility gently nipped at one of Holiday's ears before moving off of his body. She moved a few paces back and sat down before letting her gaze return to Holiday. The passage of time seemed to be as kind to him as it had been to herself and she grinned saucily before speaking.
"It's always a pleasure to see familiar faces. Well I guess in our instance - faces we don't remember at first but then recognize."
Her tail whipped back and forth a few times in the snow sending up small plumes of powder to settle on her back. Her gaze traveled to survey their surroundings and she made a mental tick in her mind of which way they would have to go to return to the stump she'd been napping on earlier.
"So what are you doing out alone in this weather?"

"Uhhh?" It took a while for Holiday to compute what Tranquility had just asked him. "Well ummm, I honestly just wanted some fresh air... Was a nice change of pace to run into you though," He smiled shyly at her. It was some what embarrassing that he had not caught on that the strange new kira was really his child hood friend. He assumed she didnt mind though since it took them both a while to realize. The muscles in his tail seemed to work on their own, he was wagging now too even though he was still lying on the cold winter ground.
"May i ask you the same?" He inquired as he got up from the cold ground to face her. Clumps of snow hung on to his fur coat now.

Tranquility smirked at Holiday's now decorated fur coat before yawning. She moved forward slightly on her front paws and stretched before resuming a sitting position as Holiday explained why he was out in this sort of weather. As he asked her the same question Tranquility canted her head to the side to observe her friend from long ago and responded.
"I guess it is only fair that you get to ask the same question as me. To answer I'm only out for a while to get away from the necessary cleaning I do every year around this time. My owner understands that I need to disappear from time to time and well ... earlier on it seemed like such a nice day to spend inside and here I am,"
She was looking straight into Holiday's eyes as she spoke again, "I'm glad I did go out. I was able to run into you."
With that Tranquility let the silence of the afternoon rush in between them.

Holiday blinked at her answer, a now surprised look was spread across his face.
"I m Glad I ran into you too," The tone of his voice was softer and more surprised than it normally was. His gaze was now on the floor staring at some random rock. In all honesty it was a tad embarrassing but this kira didnt know why he felt that way. It hadnt been odd before to be happy to see someone but now he felt his face turning red (red fur was good to have at a moment like that) and he was shy around Tranquility.
"Erm..." His eyes lifted back on hers, "Do.. uh.. Well what I mean to say is umm.... err.. Do you know the way back to town? Im.. well maybe a little lost." The truth was he hoped she didnt know. Spending time with her was fun and new. Well sort of new.

Tranquility watched Holiday squirm uncomfortably as he asked her whether or not she knew the way back to town and she had to admit that it was pretty cute to watch. She did know the way back as a matter of fact and she grinned.
"I know the way back Holiday. At least to the tree stump you surprised me on earlier. But I'm pretty sure I could find my way back easily. How did you manage to get lost? Couldn't you just smell your way back?"
Tranquility lifted her left paw and inspected it briefly before repeating the motion with her right paw as she waited for an answer.

Holiday hadnt thought of sniffing his way back. It was so simple yet, for some reason, it had been over his head to think of himself.
"Well.. " He began, "You know I hadnt thought of that... errmm.." He was feeling rather dumb now and was at a loss of words to say after this. It was really embarrassing but he smiled and grinned still any how.
"So umm... we dont have to go back know. If we can find our way back we can play some before heading back.. well if you wanted too.." The words spewed out of his mouth before he knew what had happened.

Play?
The word held so many wonderful memories for Tranquility as she thought back to the times spent in the human realm with her owner. Although she'd been ridiculed by Terran canines she'd enjoyed outdoor play sessions. For some reason the other dogs didn't understand how special she was to her owner but that didn't stop Tranquility from relishing in the attention that was given to her. Games such as 'fetch' and 'catch me' were among her favorites.
Shaking her head and bringing herself back to present times Tranquility realized she'd been off in her own world and glanced back to Holiday. While being in the Kira realm was tedious at the most of times perhaps that would change.
"Holiday what sort of idea did you have in mind for playing?"

Holiday nodded with a smirk on his face. With out saying another word he scooped up snow in his mouth and threw it over at Tranquility. Tail wagging and all he dashed off but not before calling back over to her.
"Snow war!" Cheer rang threw his voice as he ran off and hid behind a rock. The sad truth was Holiday still was very much a naive teenager who enjoyed these kind of games. It never hit him that he was a full grown kira now. Even if it had he still would be the fun loving teen he had always been.

To say the least Tranquility was shocked. Whether it was the snow dripping down her muzzle or from Holiday's sudden war cry she would never know. Shaking her head dislodged the snow sitting there and she glared at her friend's sneak attack and current disappearance before rising to all fours. Her nose lifted into the wind and pretty soon Tranquility was on the right track to following after her friend.
"Oh Holiday ... where are you?"

Holiday smirked to him self as he was crouched behind a rock. He heard Tranquilies cry after him and it only made his smirk widen. Just than a cool breeze whipped by that tickled the kira's nose. With no warning at all he sneezed a big loud sneeze that caused snow to fall off branches of some near by trees. His location was now given away.
Before the kira could cover he sneezed again and again. This cold was starting to get to him. He hoped out from behind the rock. His location was already a dead give away anyhow.
"Im right here," He almost sung. He still had a smirk on his maw just not as wide and confident as the one before.

Tranquility could not help it. The laughter bubbled up from inside as she took in Holiday's snow-covered pelt again. Eventually the laughter stopped and she shivered as the cold started inching it's way past her fur coat. Her gaze took in the darkening skies with a calm intensity before locking gazes with Holiday.
"Perhaps we should head back. I think there is another storm coming."
With that Tranquility moved closer to Holiday as she once again dusted snow from his pelt. She nipped him softly on his right ear before turning to head back.
"C'mon."

The kira wiped his nose with the back of his paw. There was no snot but it was his way of quieting it down so it wouldnt happen again.
"I think thats a grand idea," A chuckle followed after from the pit of his core, "We can sit by the fire and have some this snow melt off our selves," Another chuckle also followed this. The snow pelted kira padded over to Tranquility, "So what way are we headed?" He knew he could use his nose but he also knew that Tranquility knew the way back which simplified things some.

Tranquility moved to stand in front of Holiday as she observed her surroundings. The kira padded softly ahead in her chosen direction and paused to crane her neck to peer at her friend.
"A fire sounds like a lovely idea Holiday. It will warm both of us up."
As she spoke the wind picked up again and she shivered briefly.
"Yes a fire will do lovely ... if this weather keeps up."

The sun was starting to dip down beyond the trees resulting in an even colder temperature. Holiday knew that the two best hurry if they didnt want to be kira cycles. Tranquility looked like the cold was starting to catch up to her too.
" We best get to town before the sun has gone completely," He huffed now beside her. The area started to become more familiar and filled with an aura of other kira scents. They were not far off that was one thing that was for sure. How close they were still remained a mystery. All this snow made it hard to see.
"Were almost there I can taste it!" A laugh escaped him even though the cold was getting deeper and deeper.
