Once, we forgot a vibraphone for Birdland. (That was my fault) Also, a clarinet broke her reed and only had a new one (for STATE contest), then another percussionist threw up. Fun, huh?

I remember we were praticing easy songs out of the song book in class and I was wearing a sweater with little frillies. Our band director told us to raise our hands when we picked a song out of the book. Of coarse, I raised my hand and to my horror, my flute caught on to one of the frillies and I basically messed up my flute. sweatdrop It was saved though, and I lived happily ever after. lol, jk.

I play bass clarinet. My instrument hates me. It usually breaks before every major performance. It just stops working. After the performance, it is as good as new...

the girl next to me was asking how to finger D#. i had showed her the fingering during a rest and then the conductor motioned for us to join in and it scared me cuz i wasn't expecting it so as i threw my sax up to my face to play, i accidently poked my eye with it! it was funny, but it hurt like crazy!

One day last year I was setting up my sax for Jazz Band and I stumbled and bit my reed in half gonk It was immensely funny, though.

Well, the other day I was opening my sax case, but then I was told to move a couple seats over. I closed the top of the case, but never closed the lock-things, so I stood up, and my sax started to fall out. I caught it, but my mouthpiece fell out. It was in it's little plastic case thing, so I picked it up quickly, and my mouthpiece went flying out, along with my ligature. It was hilarious, and my mouthpiece bounced off a drum, and made a loud noise. rofl Luckily, no damage was done.
I was a huuuuge klutz that day. xd

Well, this isn't really an accident, but at festival when we finished playing, my friend's 4 year old sister shouted out to the silent room"You did great Shanny!" Everyone, judges included, cracked up.

once at a concert the band director had motioned for us all to put our instruments up, and as I was bringing my clarinet up to my mouth, I heard a loud BANG-- I hit my clarinet on the stand!! eek . so much for a graceful entrance... and the gym was totally silent so everyone heard! cool

My concert today...
While the "Glee Club" were setting up, my friend, Austin. OMG. Austin. He has a Silver Trumpet. I knocked it over. There was a big BOOM. You could hear it across the room. The room is VERY big. And I qoute from my other friend, Emily:
"Hey, Emily," We have the same name just to let you know. "Do you know who did that? They might get in trouble with Mr.Beson!" I said:
"Me. I did it. Ronnie gave me a weird look when I dropped it." You could hear i the back, "Who is talking back there?" <-- Mr.Beson. My Band instructor.

They didn't have a chair for Leanne the only Baritone player. razz
We were about to go on the stage. Isaac, a percussionist, was all "SHHHHH. *inhales air*SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! so loud... >_>

Yes, actually, it has. It was the night of the concert, I've been really careful, and felt pretty good about the pieces we were playing. Then a STUPID PERCUSSIONIST chipped my reed on the way out to the stage!!! Needless to say, I decked the kid. I got a new reed, and squeaked my way through the concert... It was awful, I never want to relive that...

OH!! a few months ago, i was sitting in the back with the trombones because i couldnt play (dont remember if it was when my contra-alto mouthpiece broke or when i sprained my wrist and couldnt play [seriously, your wrists need to be contortionists for that instriment]) anyways, i was in the back and the band was playing really good that day, compared to the crappy week we were having, and our assistant bd who is like a big kid was all "wow! were did you guys come from?!" i quickly responed loud enough for him in the front and the whole band to hear "well you see, when a man and a woman reeaallly like each other...". the whole class started cracking up and he gave me this look of 'you are such an idiot/im gonna kill you in jazz later today/ i cant believe you said that' he still though it was funny though.
just realized this is for accidents, not funny things...oh well, i dont care so here is an accident: quickly flipping your tuba up from in your lap to playing position and having it slip and almost fall. i still hit the stand, but the stand was plastic, so no harm done (to our brand new tuba none the less!)

I was playing for my first time on snare drum in a concert hall and the people in charge had turned the snares off. I played the beginning of the song w/o snares. But I got back into the song... eventually. xp
