The Iconoclast mountain pony yeh dat b***h didnt lemme in her stupid guild -_______________- I seriously have no idea what you're talking about. She frequents the AD, I can see why people would be irritated by her, she can come off as pretty smug sometimes - if she reports your thread... she'll definitely let you know. I'm not particularly a fan of her art, she charges an absolute s**t-load on gaia though, and fair enough if she can get it. Her journal's pretty funny, though xx

What is the difference between all of us or some DA looser and a REAL artist?
I have a love hate relationship with Ashley Wood. I love the style of his art but am very annoyed that he releases 8 million covers for each comic... RIPOFF. The stories are blatently crap and people only buy them for the art. All the covers should be in all the comics.
Plus he only ever draws robots having sex with women, or women having sex with themselves. I hate him for being really talented but wasting it on s**t comics and endless re runs of the same crap.

Ha ha. I just meant someone who is respected in the field, not just some no name who posts on DA. I don't know those kids. Not that if you post on DA you automatically aren't an artist.
A LOT of kids in the Entertainment Illustration department (I was traditional) loved Ashley Wood. I think his art is beautiful, but I don't really know his stories.

im getting kind of sick of seeing blackie and uhm whoever else
draws those boring cartoons/stick figures all the time
i mean its always just like vaugue sexual innnuendo and butts
i get that their style or w/e is consistent but so what?
its boring~
i also think tohos art is seriously ovverrated
as for DA big names well
i have a love hate thing for klar
her figures and movement are incredible
but get over the ******** horse legs satyr bullshit already
(or hey try coloring something thats not on a desaturated backround)
and for people who only do fanservice fanart bullshit to get a daily dev or w/e they can ******** suck the c**k of a 10000000 soras.
i just think more creative things can be done with art than all of the above have been doing, or have been praised for doing.

I've heard people talking about SLA drawing, but I've never seen it. I can't imagine there is much talent there. I have a theory that talent and taste goes hand-in-hand and I know what her taste level is...

I can admit I'm a total art snob, but come ON. What is the point of those drawings? What can you do with them? They can't get you gallery work. They can't get you editorial work. They can't get you concepting work. They are just fanservice bullshit doodles.

but the last time i i went off on her for being a little bitting b***h
she took all her work down.
it really was like subpar like...
i think icono put it best once
like there was no consideration for facial proportion even on an anime level
idk as someone whose been drawing in the same style for over a decade
i get pissed off when kids come along and try tp pick up anime after an hour or so.
its not hard to draw anime, generic anime with cookie cutter concepts
its hard to make it unique and original and when noobies figure this out
they tend to drop trying all together.
which i dont really have too many qualms about.
there really should be less people (trying) to draw anime anyways.

I'm going through this thread and looking up the people you guys have mentioned. I just checked out Zenia Wulf (who despite having the featured profile, I'd never heard of XD). I had the EXACT same reaction as I did for klar. Only on Gaia would this trash get heralded. It is why I left the art forums. Its just weeaboo bullshit.

i think klar has potential if she just took her figures and actually DID something wit dem you know??? make some big pieces or someshit
and i dunno for gaia art i dont really like anyone. i used to really like drawing avi's but now i barf at the thot of it and people who take their avi art seriously seem kinda pathetic, like at least do other art on the side @___@
and i go into the art forums on gaia and its just a bunch of crap mostly nothing is visually appealing at all
off the top of my head i cant think of ne artists that i dont like, i generally tend to focus more on the ones i do like
