Valeriu wanted to say hello to Ciro, but he knew now was not the time. There was a sense of urgency in the air, and he decided it'd be best to wait until after they'd rescued the two kidnapped people. He didn't know them, but he figured it might give him good practice if it turned out his own parents had been kidnapped.

Plus, as his mother had always said, a man has to take responsibility where it's asked for - it didn't matter that he didn't know the two who'd been stolen, just that he was asked to help them and help them he should.

Dubiously, he turned to look at his two partners-in-crime that Anubis had addressed. He was pretty sure the older one, at least, knew of where this Persy lived. And at least there were no women he'd have to worry about - that was Ciro's job, to protect those other two. Overall, his own group looked capable of holding their own in a fight, which was reassuring. Vale himself was no stranger to facing down young and old in a fist-fight.

"So," he started, giving the calabash in his hands a disgruntled look and glancing up at them, "Shall v'e get going?"

Maria had grown, and Fish certainly hoped that meant she was smarter than she used to be. He gave the calabash head in his hands - it was grinning lewdly at him - a disgusted look and tucked it into one of the pouches on his belt. He wished he was working with Ciro, who he at least wouldn't throw him off a building, rather than Maria, arguably the dumbest player around.

Fish managed a wave at Ciro around Maria's shoulder as she sidled up to him. "We'll catch up with you later," he said before looking back at Maria.

She was tiny. Taller than Jubs, but still a head shorter than he was.

"What are we waiting for, then?" he asked. "Let's go break into a Government building."

As she turned the gourd over and over in her hands, Keeya glanced around face to face, absorbing everything in silence. She moved slowly towards her forming group, shoving the gourd into the pouch of her hoodies, the poweriser stilts rattling against her back.

After a while, Keeya loosened up the hood, carefully lifting it up from her leaves and branches and letting it fall to around her shoulders as she approached what she assumed was her group, "I.. Uh.. I'm Keeya. Sorry to have met all of you at such a bad time..."

Jubs took the strange fruit carefully, keeping his hands away from the mouth. Who knew if they could bite? He placed it in the pocket without a giant hole.

He lit up a bit at the task of finding Persy. It had been awhile since he'd seen her, and he was eager to show her how much stronger he'd gotten. Growing older had only strengthened his crush in her.

He moved next to his group, giving a nod to Koa, and taking a good look at Vale. He was surprisingly similar to Jubs. "So, anyone know where Persy is?

Koa Vargas

The pig-boy had remained in the background for the most part, having known Anubis already from their brief encounter. The man seemed as prickly as ever. A lot more god-like than the boisterous man who seemed to have taken up speaking in the back of his head when he wanted to add his two cents.

A lot of the news was new to the boy, who did his best to retain more information than he normally would at school. His survival might rely on what was being said.

The thing that didn't sit well with Koa as he turned the strange fruit over in his hands was that they were trying to help someone that, according to Kama-guy, had been a part of some kind of under-the-table scheme with one of the other god-kid pairs.

Don't like it either, grunty, but think about it this way - in their hands, Kama said, referring to the blacksuits, he's of more danger to us than before. We're only rescuing him to get him into hands that can properly deal with the problem.

Koa glanced at Anubis.

Like Vale, Koa was glad of the purely masculine team he was a part of. No cooties and no cry-babies. He'd already had a demonstration of Jub's abilities, and the dark-haired boy struck Koa as similar in spirit: tough and capable.

"We've got the address, it shouldn't be hard to find." Koa jabbed a finger back towards the door. "The guy's right," he gave a nod to Vale, "we gotta get going."
