Maybe Cloud doesn't come out with his feelings prior to this because he's afraid of Tifa still rejecting him? He is oblivious to their feelings, as the Ultimania says about the date scenes. It takes Tifa going into his mind to find these, and she's even shocked. And probably dancing around thinking, "Oh ya, I'm the winner. He loves me." XD Then she reveals hers too, and Cloud's mind is all, "Dude! Yes, that rocks. Now we can be happy together... just remember to tell Cloud IRL rather than in his mind because he's still a lil messed up, kthxbi." XP

Really. What else could these feelings pertain too? :/ How Cloud's past revolved around Tifa? How Tifa wished she had noticed Cloud's feelings sooner? How obsessed Cloud was with Tifa's promise? Hmm...

That is indeed pulling at strings. When a sentence says a boy and a girl are realizing feelings that each of them were holding (or hiding), it's not up for interpretation. Either way, the feelings that are revealed are Cloud's "crush" for Tifa, and Tifa's "crush" for Cloud. There aren't other feelings being revealed... so how can they try to claim it's not romantic? XP

Way more canon than Maiden ever will be. XD
I just love how after all these years we have concrete proof that Zack and Aeris were in love and she was in denial in FFVII. It's mind boggling that people didn't understand that when playing FFVII, or completely disregarded the connection that Cloud wants to be Zack, Zack's girlfriend starts to like him... it's there for a reason. It's there so there appears to be a LT at the beginning of the game, but then everything is explained and sorted out.
So now there's no way to claim that everything in FFVII Aeris says about Zack isn't denial. Unless you are in denial yourself. XP

Hahaha, and the majority is in denial. Deep down they know that the evidence is poking at them. They want to avoid that as much as possible to the point where they refuse to play the game.
