I've actually found that I'm pretty good with Lucas, which was sorta unexpected. In the previous two games, I rarely if ever played Ness. I've never even played Earthbound, unfortunately.
Back in Melee, my friends and I would tinker around with the rules to create themed battles. One theme was Kaiju/Toku battles. Set the characters to giant, only use monster or henshin hero style (Captain Falcon?) characters, and fight in a city stage. I haven't done this yet in Brawl, but I'm sure it'll happen.
And on a slightly different subject, although still Nintendo related, does anyone around here play the Pokemon TCG? I was hugely into it as a kid, but my friends and I are now getting back into it. We're having way too much fun with it.

The character I kicked-butt at was the character from Kid Icarus (errrgh... I forgot his name! ><; ). Then, it was Marth, somewhat. But, I kept falling off the edge, and forgetting that you can get your character back up the stage. I'm so not use to those style of fighting games like that... >_>;
Toku/Henshin Hero-style Brawl. XD That sounds really interesting, since I'm picturing it.
I use to collect the Pokemon TCG, but now I don't anymore. The only thing Pokemon-related that I ever play, is the DS. Diamond (Japanese) version, more specifically.

I've been into Pokemon ever since it came out. I play Pearl Version fairly often, and now I'm getting back into the cards too. Call me a Pokemaniac.

I have been playing brawl. Well, I haven't in about a week but I blame renting assassins creed for that. I'm not very good since I never played melee or the original much but I enjoy the game. So far my bests have been wolf or sonic.
A toku style brawl would be interesting, but then i'd like any game involving tokusatsu I think. Captain falcon is up in my favorite used characters for brawl not because I know anything about f-zero, which I don't, but because he reminds me most of a henshin hero. Falcon Kick!
I don't play any TCGs now. Well, I play yugioh on the DS once in a blue moon but that is about it. I haven't collected pokemon cards in quite a while. Since middle school really, and when I collected them it was just for fun. Yugioh I began to collect in high school and actually play to help pass time while there. When everyone in school shifted to magic playing I traded some of my yugioh deck for magic cards. Now I only have one working deck, my magic one. I won't collect any more TCGs though. The only one i'm even interested in playing is Rangers Strike.

I've got a nice little collection of Rangers Strike cards, but unfortunately, I just can't read Japanese.
It would be kinda cool if Rangers Strike was translated into English as a Power Rangers card game. Anything that hasn't appeared in a Power Rangers show could still be used. They could just translate the names and say that they're simply Rangers that exist, but just haven't been seen in the show.

That could work, but it wouldn't be that popular I think. I'm not sure, but I don't think power rangers has enough of a fanbase anymore to bring that over. Something tells me it will only be in Japan, which sucks since I don't know Japanese either. My biggest hope is someone will take the time to not only translate each card but make a YugiohVirtualDesktop or Magic Apprentice type program so you can play the game on your computer without having the actual cards.

Yeah, I've been playing Brawl whenever I can(& not be annoyed by outside pests). I tend to play group matches against the computer & online play more than anything else. I've always favored Kirby since the original game & I still do but yeah, Capt. Falcon kicks a** too.
Ever since Nintendo ditched Wizards of the Coast the Pokemon TCG just hasn't been the same. But like pretty much every game that I've stopped playing(several TCGs, Beyblades, Mage Knight) I still keep 'em around.
Like Itami, I'm also holding out hope for an online Ranger Strike. I can't say I'd want a Power Rangers version. There's a risk that the format may be oversimplified for kids like what was done with the US translation of the Digimon cardgame. Plus you might be missing cards like say, the Dairangers but then have cards such as Ernie or Bulk & Skull.

Like I said, if translated, I think the Dairangers could just be called Five-Star Squadron Dairangers, Star Rangers, or something like that. They could just say that they're rangers who're out there that we just haven't seen on the show.
I would hate it if the game was simplified, and you're right, it probably would be.
I wouldn't be opposed to the addition of cards like Bulk & Skull or Ernie though, especially if the art was up to quality.
It's just a pipe dream though. If Rangers Strike was ever Americanized, it would be a disaster.

To be honest I'd probably get a Bulk & Skull card & keep it as a collector's item. By the time I made the jump to Super Sentai I'd watch the Power Rangers reruns more for Bulk & Skull than the rangers. Someone uploaded many of their scenes on youtube a while back. Dunno if they're still there though.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Bulk & Skull. They ought to be brought back in some way. Perhaps even as mentors of some kind.

Dammit, General Chat keeps dying. That's no good.
Umm.... Drawing from my immediate surroundings, let's move the topic to school. Anybody around here a student?
I go to the University of Southern Indiana, where I major in English / Education. Right this minute, I'm studying for a math test. If I'm able to pass, it will be my last math test ever, not counting the final exam. If I pass the class, I'll never ever have to suffer through math again!

Student here. Right now, I'm out of school technically, but taking a summer course. Due in part, last week I just spent an all-nighter on a Design portfolio and dreading the result. >_>; If I get in, I'm trying to get some academic classes out of the way, so I can concentrate on the studio classes (because the moment I get into the program, it's going to be HELL).
At the moment, preparing for an animefest by trying to make prints AND prepare for cosplay (going as Urataros and Ryuutaros on different days).

Yeah, I'm in a summer course too. It's a 400-level class about Michel Foucault. The reading is really heavy, but the class only lasts a month. I hope I make it through!

My class ends in June 15th or something.. Pretty simple English class, a little boring but at least I get to read short stories and stuff (which, I have been SO deprived of any good books or reading material, ever since... forever... crying ).
On another note... I got the results of the Design portfolio I slaved and stressed over. In short: I made it! I'm in the program! And ready for HELL!
