- How do you comment? Do you comment on everything, or only on a few things? Do you leave long in depth comments or short note-like ones?
More often than not, my comments would be short and note-like. I'd note what I liked, and what I think could use some improvement. But sometimes, if some piece of work really gets me (being something I really liked for some reason but could use improvement somewhere or another) I would make my comments a bit more detailed and in depth about what could be done.

- What are your opinions on commenting for the sake of commenting?
What's the point? If I feel if it is a deserved comment, even if it's so trivial as saying I liked a particular work (which I would most likely make about just poetry, where no improvement really is needed), I'll make that comment. Nothing more, nothing less.

- How do you feel towards comment/review whores?
They need to calm down. The more they urge for reviews, the less I want to do it.

- Do comments make the author?
They most certainly do not. I've seen plenty of brilliant works with little to no reviews. And on the flip side, I've seen not-so-great works with quite a bit of reviews.
