((I'm a little confused by the group's exact position, so I won't write much. Sorry!))

Sovann was startled out of sleep by howling and screaming winds, vicious enough to make even the burliest Kuniku tremble. His blue eyes squinted in the rain and he seemed to see a group of familiar figures standing together not to far from him. The next thing he saw, however, was quite shocking. A yellowish orb of light was making its way towards them. He could not tell whether is was friend or foe, or even if the others had regained enough of a clear mind to see it floating ever closer.

Sovann, not sure whether this would end up being the right decision, bound towards the mish-mosh of creatures and tackled this air born animal. He figured, either way, the orb could not harm his friends. If it turned out to be benevolent, Sovann thought, he could just let up and release it. The pair skidded along the ground and stopped just short of crashing into Tithe. The light was fading and he could just make out the image of a small, white, fox-like thing.

((OOC- Leu, everyone WAS on a piece of ice in the middle of what was once a slope that because of the lay of the land and the storm turned into a river overnight, but now they've made their way over to some higher ground. It is still very wet and rainy.))
While his companions all got their bearings up on land and tried to steady themselves against the wind, Emil had eyes only for the mysterious, otherworldly fox that seemed to have powers far stronger than those of the greatest among kuniku. It called out, strong and clear, "Who's in charge here?"

Emil was caught off guard by the question. No one had ever really been in charge. The kuniku operated as a brotherhood, a friendly band, as a pack or a cohort of goodwill. They had never really thought to elect a leader, had they?

"I think we're all sort of equals," Emil said as he squinted up at the fox creature through the rain.

Shimoyake was tired and soaked but he couldn’t quite now. Dimi had jumped off the ice to tether them to the shore. Getting ready to jump, he felt a sodden warm rub against him. Looking over, it was Tithe complimenting him on his ice barge. He smiled quickly, nudging her back before jumping across to the land.

“We’ll have plenty of time for compliments when we get out of this.” It wasn’t until Emil was speaking that he realized the little white fox was there. He didn’t have time to think of a question for the new being before Sovann came out of no where and tackled the little creature.

“What is going on here! We need to find the others before we can do anything!”

Inari glared up at the pale white face of the male Kuniku that had so suddenly tackled him, just as another Kuniku had began to answer.
"Excuse me!" He pouted, slithering and wiggling out of the male's grip. Well, I guess none of them have exactly heard of me before. Those gods, leaving everything up to me!

So it seemed there wasn't a leader. Well, that would make life a little more difficult.
"All right, everyone pay close attention! My name is Inari, and I have been sent by the gods to aid you. I am very important!" he puffed up his chest, trying to resonate divinity. It was difficult seeing as he was around half their size.

The roar of the water was deafening. The rain had created a river across the beach; a once small trickle that the rain had turned into a monster. Masao stared at it aghast. It was here that he remembered leaving the other Kunuki for the night. After they had fallen asleep he had risen and found a position beneath the palm trees, farther from the shore.

Masao walked a few steps backwards and then turned to ran back up the beach. The rain and mist were ridiculously disorientating, so that you couldn’t see more than a foot in front of you. The rain made the beach like quicksand, the pulling down at the paws and making it difficult to move.

Sanyu, Emil, Sovann. Where were they? Masao struggled to higher ground, clambering up muddy banks. He thought back across his memory, to the short trip he had taken away from the other. There had been cave likes areas, protected by large, strong trees that that offer some safety from the storm.

He knew that he could find it. Even in the storm his mind clearly showed him the direction he could take to reach it. He could find safety. But the others? Masao scanned the area, desperately trying to spot his companions.

There was a light in the distance, that could have been lightening and yet was too close to the ground. Masao began moving slowly towards it, finding the going trrcherous, calling out names as he went.

Tithe just silently watched this little fox speak, as she would have never believed the gods would send little help. After all, he was the size of a pup.
But the demonstration of his glowing flight thing definetly convinced her to show a little respect. While Inari was introducing himself, Tithe bowed slightly.

A lot calmer than before, Tithe tried to make a list in her head of all the kuniku, just to keep track of everyone.
Masao was missing. Just as she began saying this out loud, his distinct figure could be seen as a blur in the distance.

Emil gave the fox a half hearted smile. The storm had washed away most of his good humor already. Normally, he would have been doubled over in laughter at the pudgy little messenger whose ears would barely tickle his belly. How did anyone end up quite so short?

"The gods?" he said with an edge of doubt in his voice. "I'm sure the gods have more important things to do than to help some kuniku caught in a storm. Maybe it's more dangerous than usual, but storms happen all the time. Is there another reason you came?"

His eyes flicked to Tithe, who he could see was watching the horizon, where... oh no, Masao was coming. As if this situation could be any worse? And where was Sanyu? He hoped against hope that Sanyu was safe somewhere. Imagining her caught up in the storm, drenched and shuddering, with her beautiful pink curls limp from the rain was more than he could bear.

Dimi sat patiently waiting for the right time to speak, depending on what was being said. She watched the little white fox with a bit of smug insanity. The creature was so tiny, so perfectly white, and could fly. Racing through Dimi's head were thoughts of how this was remotely possible. It was common knowledge that each kuniku only had one power, and even those weren't very strong. So this little creature couldn't possibly be any normal kuniku.

Suddenly bombarding into her thoughts, the fox asked all the gathered kuniku who was in charge. Although tempted to say she was in charge Dimi held silent. This brought on a flurry of new thoughts and random questions. Who really was keeping all these kuniku from just leaving and going back to their homes? Why did they really care for eachother? Dimi knew it wasn't in kuniku nature to be pack friendly. Were things changing? Why had the gods sent down this little puff-ball to help them, and how could it possibly help? Why were all the kuniku even gathered here in hte first place?

Could it have been that instincts told them something bad would happen soon, and for everyone to survive they needed to band as one and hold their own against the almighty power of mother nature? Or maybe some long-forgotten festival was supposed to begin a life-long tradition, but had been suddenly interrupted the night before this enormous storm.

Coming back to reality Dimi realized something was going on, what adventure were they about to embark upon?

Inari frowned. For a bunch of wet and bedraggled Kuniku, they sure were asking lots of questions. He turned to Emil, sticking his tail up as high as he could to give himself more height. You see Gods! He thought, This is why I should have the form of a lion.

"This is definitely no ordinary storm, it's covered the entirety of Honshu. It's almost certain that it was sent by the Oni Lord to impede us in some way." He paused to let this sink in, hoping it would have an effect.
"And no, that's not the only reason I'm here, but for now let's try and find some shelter for you okay? Do you know of any other Kuniku in this area? We should try to gather them."

Tithe still being amazed at this creature said nothing except when he mentioned other kuniku. "Sanyu." Tithe murmured.

This is the first time in her life she felt the rush of adventure.
She actually liked the fact that there was a raging storm, it gave her something to do. She felt kind of guilty though, if someone would of wound up getting hurt. But if the Oni master or whatever really wanted to hurt the small band of kuniku, he would have to bring on more than water.

Dimi, hearing Tithe, said Sanyu's name louder so that even the little fluffy white thing could hear. She agreed they should get to higher ground, and some shelter, but pondered on who exactly was the Oni Lord, and why did he want to harm them so badly?

As Masao got closer he realized there were other Kuniku there and he gave a small sigh of relief. Lightening flashed across the sky, illuminating the world for a moment. Masao used that short time to see who was there. There was no familiar pink coat among them. Where was Sanyu?

Beneath his fur Masao went pale. If something had happened to her he would never be able to forgive himself. Sanyu would not have left Shikoku if he hadn’t turned up there and she wouldn’t now be caught up in this storm. He had failed to protect her.

Nearby a palm tree gave way beneath the winds onslaught and came crashing down to the beach. Masao flinched back a little and then ran the distance between him and the others. He skidded to halt amongst them, glanced once at the white creature whose light had originally shown him their position and then spoke in a shout to be heard above the thunder.

“We have to go inland!”

((*shuffles in* Damsel in distress on her way! XD))

Sanyu, the bubbly, happy pink Kuniku, had gone to sleep for the night in an absolutely elated state. The group had scattered across the warm beach and into the trees to find their own shelter, and she had stayed close enough to see them all. As she drifted off, her mind wandered to her companions and the little green star Emil had with him. But all was not right when the female stirred from her slumber. Honshu was in horrible turmoil; violent winds and waves surrounded Sanyu from all sides. Where had everyone gone?

The rain pelted every inch of her, the sand turning to a muddy mess beneath her feet. Quickly, panic set in. If she couldn't find Emil and Masao and Sovann what would happen? Her heart pounded in her ears, the screaming air pushing her every which way, causing her to lose control of her senses. Even standing straight was impossible.

"Moon," she shouted with all the voice she could muster, "Apricot? Prince? Anyone?!?" Her normally bouncy pink locks blocked her vision, but somehow she made her way up the beach. Each step had her sinking into the sand, but it was better than being tossed about. Finally, reaching some grass, Sanyu thought it would be easier. Trees would be there soon if she kept walking, however the support she had gotten on the beach was gone and she found herself slipping in all directions. Trying to breathe the water-filled air, the Kuniku shut her eyes tightly and pawed at anything she could find to stop the movement. The storm was so overpowering!

Sanyu's mind went blank. There was no way out of this. But what about her friends and all the Kuniku she should meet some day? Was there no hope? Having nothing left to hold on to, Sanyu dug her feet into the ground, her seafoam eyes still closed. And then something happened. The dismay flooded out of her, with all the things going on around her, she felt the earth beneath her being so calm. Nature had dealt with similar things before and survived, so why couldn't she? These thoughts poured out of her and into the flora below her and her power was unleashed! A tiny, though very sturdy, sapling sprung from the dirt, the perfect object to grip with her jaws as Sanyu tried to figure out what to do next.

Dimi was quickley getting very bored with the same questions and ideas being said over and over. She glanced casually over her shoulder just to refresh her mind before returning to the same questions and answers. While she glanced, she noticed something pink, it was odd since all there was everywhere else was black, gray, and blue. After a second of thought Dimi realized something.
"That's Sanyu!!" she exclaimed, causing everyone near to jump from the sheer volume of her voice. Dimi darted away unsure of how she could possibly help, but knowing that she would try her best.
Coming up to Sanyu, Dimi decided that she ought ot grab something long and use that to reach out to Sanyu. She grabbed a long bit of driftwood and held it out in her mouth to Sanyu. "Grab it!" she mumbled through a mouthful of wood.
Trying with all her might Dimi held the wood clear of the waves and grass. Hopefully we can get everyone out and through this! she thought desperately

Emil listened to the others.
"Right, like they said, it's Sanyu that's missing. But I don't know a lot of other kuniku since I'm new to the area, and there could be more in the area," he said with a steely resolve. He could still feel they had found together star wrapped up in his scarf.

And then suddenly, a cry came spiraling from Tithe's mouth. Emil twisted around uncomfortably, and his eyes grew large as he saw Sanyu struggling against the storm. She seemed uncomfortably fragile, like a little bloom left to battle against the elements.

Dimi was already sprinting away to help her, and Emil stayed still for a moment, full of shock and horror, before he shook his head and ran after her. By the time he had about caught up with Dimi, she was already there to help Sanyu, extending a piece of driftwood to her. Emil felt like he had nothing to do.

"Don't worry Sanyu, we're here. If I can do anything to help, I will. You too, Dimi," he said as he stood by, feeling useless.
