Talim-Hime I'll admit to not having a list of quotes or scenes that prove the canon. That's a misuse of the word canon, but we shall leave that for another time.Quote: As half-assed as you might believe this argument to be, I see the pairings as subtle - the couples never outright tell each other and they don't kiss and quite frankly don't talk about it much. It's the little hints, the gestures, the facial expressions (even in FF VII graphics). You can choose to see it or not. Except if you wish to assert that a pairing exists, subtle or not (and I'll agree, it's mostly subtle), you have to show it. What specifically in Cloud's words or deeds shows a hint of romantic intent towards Aerith?

"What is valid Cleris proof?" 3nodding That would be very interesting.

Haha, we're taking this rather lightly. It's just humorous how some fans are so biased. There's no end to hypocrisy for rabids.

"CLOUD AND TEEFA HAD SECKS ON THE HIGHWIND."
Man, I respect the rabid Cleris fans I've met cause none of them every said anything as hilarious as that. I fail to see how it's hilarious. It fits the characters, the context of the scene, the cinematic techniques employed in the scene, and the scene has been described as risque, with mature dialogue and tone by the creators. Furthermore, it's a toned down version of an even more explicit scene.
Again, why is it ridiculous for two people who have been interested in each other for over seven years to have sex as an expression of their feelings for each other after they have confessed said feelings, on what, moreover, may be the last night of their lives.

Pray tell, how does that fit the characters other than the fact they have been interested in each other for years? This is a couple that still sleeps in different beds two years later.

Kefka-Daisuki-Desu! Pray tell, how does that fit the characters other than the fact they have been interested in each other for years? This is a couple that still sleeps in different beds two years later. You are referring to the scene in which they wake up in the Children's room after Reno and Rude carry them there, yes? Your statement that they sleep in two beds is based on a misunderstanding. We have never seen Cloud and Tifa's room. BTW, your objection is also a red herring, and does not address what the Creators have said or the context of the scene.
Cloud and Tifa love each other. They live together. He's had the hots for her since before he had pubes. It is a bigger stretch to presume they have not had physical intimacy than it is to presume they haven't. Of course, back in the Lucy show they slept in separate beds and they still had physical intimacy (how else did Lucy get pregnant?), so even if they did sleep in different beds- which I reiterate we have no reason to presume they do- it doesn't preclude physical intimacy.

The only thing I must ask is do really believe they could just have casual sex? Cloud, and TIFA? And if they were in love as you do say wouldn't Tifa even once mention this to Cloud? Why doesnt Tifa ever say, what about THAT night? Where we *insert whatever you want* And if they did do it that night then why is Tifa STILL having difficulties pronouncing her love. It really, when you put it into context and character it wouldnt make sense at all. And I find it odd that you out of all people, "teh protector of canon" would say this. xD

I would find it against her character to bring up having sex since she's especially reserved.

Well, I don't think Cloud and Tifa if they DID have sex during that point and time, did it casually then, or afterwards. rofl If they did take their relationship that far, then they did it for love and nothing else that time, or any other... "times". I however, still believe that they did not, due to the fact that afterwards, they still seem to be developing their already very strong, relationship.

.[.pink.spider.]. The only thing I must ask is do really believe they could just have casual sex? Casual sex? Who said anything about casual sex? I'm talking about making love, of expressing their feelings for each other through physical intimacy.Quote: Cloud, and TIFA? And if they were in love as you do say wouldn't Tifa even once mention this to Cloud? Why doesnt Tifa ever say, what about THAT night? Where we *insert whatever you want* Because it's less relevant to the issue than Cloud's other behaviour, and unlike Tifa to talk about such things.Quote: And if they did do it that night then why is Tifa STILL having difficulties pronouncing her love. She isn't having troubles pronouncing her love. Quote: It really, when you put it into context and character it wouldnt make sense at all. Nomura, Nojima, and Kitase would beg to differ. They said the scene contained mature dialogue, and that the sequence was risque.Quote: And I find it odd that you out of all people, "teh protector of canon" would say this. xD I say this because it makes perfect sense based on the personalities, the dialog, the situation, and the statements of the creators on the situation.

Quote: She isn't having troubles pronouncing her love. Actually, in CoT she asks Cloud if he loves her, when he wakes up she changes to questions. Granted she was asking CLOUD's love rather than her own I don't think she would have questioned it if they had previously "expressed their feelings for each other through physical intimacy."Quote: Nomura, Nojima, and Kitase would beg to differ. They said the scene contained mature dialogue, and that the sequence was risque.
Of course the dialogue was mature, they were talking about the end of the world, that isn't exactly light hearted. I can't comment on the whole "risque" statement because frankly I haven't even seen it.
