Wica let her ears fall back against her white mane as it trying to hide themselves from the words he was saying. A frown came to her face as the air had suddenly became tense about that small space. Did he really see her as someone that was too friendly? She didn't think anyone could be friendly enough. It was a stab to the chest that made her heart sink deeper, like a stone cast into the ocean. Standing again she turned away from him and stepped past the tree she had been laying near, placing herself on the other side as if the skinny tree were going to be a good wall to hide behind.
"Is it really that bad to be overly friendly? I would think that someone could never be too friendly even in the face of danger. For in friendship there come trust and the knowing that someone, someday would be there. Threat or not." She pointed out bluntly. "I care about my life and apparently more then just my own." She paused laying her head down upon the snow, looking away from him.
"My existence is as thin a line as anyone else's, one stray step and it could snap like the thin ice on a river's edge, plunging anyone into darkness and turmoil." She stopped, feeling she had said too much, and even the tone of her own voice was scaring her. It was harsher then her normal tone, it scared to almost tears, she hated even herself for it.

Axel too could feel the air being sucked out of the small space that they were in. He knew he was the cause of it but he wasn't intended on releasing the pressure he felt right now in front of her. He wouldn't allow it. Raising his head, Axel watched her step past the tree. "Now you decide to be careful?" He was sure that she was worried that he was going to get violent or something. But no, he would never lose control like that. ...
"It's not bad, but there has to be limits." But he didn't care if she got hurt! Why was he freely giving advice? He should charge for stuff like this... "Being a caring person never got the heroine anywhere except to maybe her tomb." He gave an exasperated sigh. "I don't know why I'm even telling you this! I don't care about you!" The stallion turned around feeling so bewildered that he had even said that aloud. "Don't talk about your existence like that because you don't even know what it's like to have one." Axel turned to leave because he couldn't stand this anymore.

"If there is a limit to being kind to others, then I haven't found it. Unlike some, I'm still young and haven't grown 'into' the body you see." she sighed. "Unlike most I'm easily broken, like a brittle twig upon the ground."
Lifting her head she looked back toward Axel, watching him as it looked like he was going to leave. Easily broke, discouraged, shoved aside like a branch that just happened to be in the way. That was Wica, she couldn't help, but be who she was even if others hated her for it. At times she wondered why she turned out as such, but it was just how life was, she couldn't change it.
"Whether you care or not about me, I don't care either. But I'm willing to if one was willing to give me a chance. Even if it's only to the extent of being an ally, someone to come to when things are troubling." She stated watching his back, herself unmoving, he he were to attack her at any time, she would think she deserved it.
Turning her head away once more she didn't move from the hollow she had created in the snow that melted by her body heat. Her ears turned just a bit listening to the winds, hoping that they would stop and she could be on her way. She felt sorry for him, even if he didn't want her to be, felt sorry that she had confused him so that he was so bitter. She had caused the bitterness and knew of no way to undo what had been done, a hopeless soul she had become, lost within her own mind to even notice anything. Not even when Predators could have been surrounding her, she just didn't care at that moment, just didn't.
"I am sorry I have brought you turmoil with this simple meeting." She sighed, letting her wings slip from her sides just a bit, "I never intend to do such things, it's not my nature..." She paused, that didn't come out right, but her mind couldn't think straight, she had caused more trouble then her own worth.

"Unfortunate for you then. Young ones always break more easily." Axel sighed and couldn't even remember when he was young. His fiery temper was subsiding now and he was able to think more clearly. She just startled him that was all...
Axel was taken aback by what she said next, "I don't need anybody else." He could feel his protective bubble being prodded by this mare and he did not want that. He could feel his anger boiling up underneath him but somehow he kept it in this time. "Plus, you seem like you need someone more then I do with your friendliness going to get you called to your deathbed early anyway." The stallion was beginning to feel weary when it was only midday.
"Whatever. Like I said, it doesn't matter to me." For some reason, Axel's hooves stopped moving forward and he glared down at them angrily. There was something that was compelling him to stay, his curiosity had been piqued and now he needed to satiate his thirst.

She didn't say anything, just let him talk. Her ears had folded themselves back against her head. she didn't need to hear that her ways would get her killed, she knew that, deep down, but she never wanted to believe it. She couldn't cause friendliness brought others together to go against something that was considered a thread. Were her parent's wrong about that? Were they wrong about everything? No, she knew her Father, her mother, they wouldn't lie to her.
"Say what you will, but I don't think I could ever change who I am." She said finally as she pulled herself out of the ground, shaking off the snow that had collected upon her belly and wings. "We all live our lives differently, which I'm sure you know that." She shook her head, feeling that this 'argument' wasn't going to get anywhere. "Live how you will and I will do the same." She half smiled soon bowing her head a little. "It was a pleasure meeting you Axel, may your path never lead you astray."
Even after scaring herself she still turned to her kinder, gentler side. Even if his actions, the tenseness that was in the air made her feel uneasy. She again bowed to Axel as she turned to make her way further into the trees, where the winds wouldn't feel so bitter. She wished him well, where ever the winds took him, even if he was a bit on the ill tempered side...
Lets hope the fates aren't so cruel when judgment comes. Wica thought to herself as she stopped again looking back toward Axel...

Axel had already reasoned that out in his head. He couldn't change anybody especially since he didn't exist. He had no influence on this life whatsoever, he was just an insignificant bystander in this world.
"Again... Another unfortunate result of just being a mortal. Change is unnecessary therefore useless. It's okay though because it has no significant effect on myself." He paused as he watched her walk away. Something inside of him told him to stop her and ask her something that had been bothering him for awhile but somehow the question got caught in his throat.
"Goodbye." Axel said softly, knowing that she probably didn't hear him. The stallion turned and began walking away. He felt exhausted after getting his temper so riled up. But he had an odd feeling in his bones... like this wouldn't be the last time he felt like this.

She hadn't heard what he had said as her distance had taken her a few rows of trees. Though she did watch him walk away, in the opposite direction that she was headed. Shaking her head, letting her long mane wave a little before she headed again. The cold was getting colder, even at this time of day. She could only hope that it would get warmer as Winter was a little more then half over...
"This day was more then I had expected." She muttered to herself as she found a better tree to lay under, her head felt like someone was pounding on it. "Axel, you are a strange one, that is for sure." Letting things go, she let sleep take her mind, hoping that after her nap the winds will have stopped and she could continue her flight to who knows where.
