L-o-l at that movie.
I mean, forgetting about the book entirely and just taking it as the movie itself, it was mediocre.
I felt so bad for Rob Pattinson. He's such a handsome man until you put that horrible make-up. Hell, even with that make-up, Kristen Stewart was still paler than him! And his lips. Ugh. They were waaaay too red. And I hated his American accent. It sounded bad.
Kristen was horrible as Bella. Her man voice ruins everything. Whenever she was portraying anger, her voice dropped, like, five octaves. D= Plus, no expression.
And there was even less development between Edward and Bella. It was instantaneous lust.
And the sparkling was even more ridiculous on screen. As my friend aptly described it, "It looks like a lot of shiny bugs crawling over him." Maybe now fanatics will realize that sparkling is not hot and is ridiculous.
These were the highlights of the movie pretty much for me:
-JAMES (Good lord, when he had his shirt off and low pants...... Oh yes. <3)
-Jasper
-Emmett's need to stand while riding a vehicle
-ERIC (He made me happy. <3)

I thought they did a great job for having to consolidate a novel into that amount of time. Yeah, not everything was the same, but that's alright. The only thing I had a problem with was I thought Edward and Bella's relationship progressed WAY too fast. I agree with you there.

I feel the exact opposite about Robert Pattinson. I think he made a gorgeous Edward, but as his every day self? Ugh. At least he looked alert as Edward. IRL, he looks like he's a drinker. Almost every time I see him he looks like he's high or drunk. And I think I like his American accent better.

Though Kristen Stewart was not my choice for Bella, I think she did a good job. She does so not have a man voice.

Yeah, the sparkling was...awkward.

I absolutely adored Emmett in the movie. He was so funny.

I didn't like Rob as Edward but I really liked Kristen as Bella. Her voice wasn't how I pictured it from the book, but I think she did an amazing job.

Good - I wasn't the only one who noticed how hot James was! heart
