Vorel turned to head up the hill again to jump off of it, opening his wings and started to glide along in a lazy looking manner letting the air carrying him along and was in the field when he touched down. He turned around and sat down to await Keir to see how his friend did this time. When he got down gliding he would bring them to their next step in the lesson.
Ligeia gave a bit of a smile at his words though it was a little weak, "I... thank you Chath." He murmured the hug and kiss were both soothing but he seemed to have taken the earlier words to heart. He wondered if maybe he always treated everyone in such a manner, wanting to take care of them. It had become a natural reaction with those younger then he was, the idea of wanting to care for them.
He leaned against Chath and seemed to be going over that thought. He was sitting around, worrying about himself and about his lacking of magic and flight and not thinking on stuff like that. He had to work on getting stronger not just for himself but for the others that he wanted to care for.
"I said earlier... that there was nothing to worry about but... I was lying." He doubted it was hard to tell when he was lying, "I am sort of... foundering at the moment. You are probably the one that would understand the most what I am feeling so..."
Maybe Chath was the best one to talk with? The only one he could talk with, he was from D-corp as well after all.

Keir continued to grumble and growl as his continued failure. Not only was his wing starting to ache from the unuse but his whole body was getting sore from crashing. It did not help with the blacks grumpy nature. And after crashing a couple more times he was about ready to bite some creatures head off.
It was his final attempt as she readied himself for the jump that he finally made it. His wings were still wobbly and he faltered in the air several times, but finally he made it to the Frost without damaging his pride.
Chath looked at the owl boy in surprise; as if the very idea that he could lie was unfathomable. Shifting on the spot he let Ligeia snuggle in closer to him, he could understand his 'foundering' why Geia felt he had to lie about it he wasn't sure. Though he would be a hypocrite if he said he wasn't doing the same thing.
"You wanna talk about it?" he asked after a moment of silence.

Vorel gave a happy sound when Keir touched down next to him, having made the it the entire way from the hill to him, "Very good." The Frost dragon praised his friend deciding that he would give Keir a moment to rest before they moved on to the next park of the lesson. He'd taken a few spills to get this far and maybe a moment to catch his breath would be a good thing.
Ligeia wasn't sure exactly how to word what he was feeling, "One of our teachers once describe us, the children of D-corp as soldiers." He said, looking down at his hands and was quiet for a long moment before he said, "I haven't flown since I hurt my wing and I dream that when I try I fall."
"One thing isn't bad but... but its not just one." He held his hands up in front of himself gathering his choosen element to his hands. It flickered a moment after he called it up and then did what it had been doing for a while, the core of the element flashed and burst leaving the owl's hands iced over.
"My magic as well... without my wings and my magic... what good am I to D-corp?"

Keir shook his head, trying to get his body to feel loose. This was most likely the most work he had done in a while. True he had been working the muscles out by doing repetitive exercises with his wings, but it didn't seem to work out the same as actually doing the task. Gliding at least...was one thing he could practice now on his own. Though he knew that he would have to work through trying not to fight the air currents.
He looked to Vorel thankful for the rest but at the same time irked that the Frost thought he needed rest in the first place Trying very hard not to grumble he paced a bit catching his breath.
Chath looked down at Ligeia a surprised look still on his face. This information was new to him. He wondered which teacher it was that had told Geia such a thing. And was it true? It did make sense, why else would a cooperation be dallying with hybrids of humans and animal DNA as well dragons of all things? He shifted on the spot, his thoughts stuck on the idea that they were only born for the purpose to fight. His next thought one just whom they were suppose to be fighting. When the owl mentioned dreams he felt the same overwhelming fear that he had from his own nightmares. He shook it off with a laugh that wavered slightly. “Well you got pretty hurt, and it is only a dream.” Chath started feeling once again like a hypocrite, “Is it that you haven't tried to fly because your afraid the dream will become true?” he asked stroking the boys hair absentmindedly. He went silent though as Ligeia demonstrated his inability to make his magic work properly. And he thought he had problems. Chath's own inability to improve his magic had caused him nothing more than frustration and anger. But for Geia, who found magic to come to him easily...and now not have it work.... Chath's silence wasn't very reassuring, but he wasn't so sure what to say. “ho..how long has that been...happening?” he asked quietly leaning his head in closer to the owls so they could keep the subject muted it they wanted to.

Vorel watched his friend as he paced back and forth before he gave a bit of a smile, looking up towards the sky. There was a bit of blue up there today though it was mostly cloudy. He didn't think that it was supposed to storm today, at least he hoped not. Flying was harder to do when it was windy, rainy, or otherwise unpleasant so it would be even hard to show Keir.
Ligeia gave a nod of his head, "I can't bring myself to try because of the dreams." He admitted as he worked on removing the ice from his hands, flexing them when he finally got enough of it off to do so, "Its an unnerving dream."
The owl looked over at Chath when the boy seemed to fall into silence, maybe he shouldn't have told him so much? He had a lot going on himself and he a bit felt bad so instead of answering his question of how long he apologized, "I am sorry, I don't mean to burden you with this but... I didn't know who else I could talk too."

With a snarl the black dragon used his claws to rip up some of the turf he tred on. One could tell he was easily angered this day. It was his limitations that were bothering him, not the presence of the Frost Dragon surprisingly.
I am rested....let us move on. he snapped his wings flapping indignantly.
Chath could understand how a dream could bother someone, heck his own dreams had become nightmares as of late. It didn't help that his own dragon was to become the same kind of monster that took his left arm.
"Why not take baby steps to overcome it? I mean...Keir is trying his hardest to attempt flying, though it is failure after failure he won't give up...he is stubborn that way..." he murmured the last part wondering where the two dragons went off too.
At Geia's other words Chath looked a bit startled and hugged the boy closer. "you can never burden me, your smile is probably what keeps me going most of the time." He answered truthfully. "Ad you can always talk to me ok?" He added giving another quick peck on the owls cheek.
"Hey I may not be able to fly by why don't you practice with me? I dunno I could be your moral support?" He continued feeling a bit better about being able to focus on helping his friend rather than stew on his own problems.

Vorel gave a nod of his head before he started back towards the top of the hill once more before awaiting Keir to join him, "Next we go a little higher." He said, hoping that Keir would remember not to fight the wind currents or it might end up badly if he were up high. Vorel opened his wings, gave a flap before he moved launching himself forward and caught a good current of hair which he moved along on for a moment before tilting his wings just a little which allowed him to rise. Once up he started to move in slow circles around Keir to wait for his friend to join him in the air.
The Frost almost thought it to bad that unlike when Geia helped teach others to fly he couldn't hold onto Keir and keep him from falling which he learned.
Geia flushed a little bit before he gave a nod and looked off in the direction the dragons had gone. Chath was right, Keir had gotten the sort of injury that he had but he wasn't letting it keep him down. He was still trying. Then again Keir was a lot stronger then he was, more determined. He gave a bit of a smile at Chath's next words, nodding his head, "Alright, just keep in mind that you can talk to me too."
Some of the things they were talking about seemed to cause Chath to have moments where he seemed a little tense or where his smile didn't seem exactly genuine. This was something that made Ligeia wonder, if he were feeling as bad as he was from just a couple breaks imagine what Chath was feeling? He'd actually lost something more important then just flight.

Keir stalked after the frost his foul mood evident but said nothing in return. He raised his head high when he watched the Frost take off into the air and glide around being carried on the air currents. Flying was similar to swimming, but it was also very different. In water Keir had to fight against currents to make any distance but now he was suppose to give into currents. Let them guide him instead of fighting against.
Taking a final look the black flapped his wings and hesitated, they were sore, his muscles were aching from the work. But he couldn't just not do it, he told the frost he was ready to go. He wouldn't take the remark back. Trying to do the same movements as last time he spread his wings and launched himself forward. He felt the wings jerk against the sudden winds he forced himself to stiffen in case they gave out. Wobble for certain the dragon managed to stay aloft if barely.
Chath felt a lump form in his throat, he could let others be a burden on him, but he was never the one to become a bother to others. He trusted Geia, and somewhere deep down in his heart he knew that he loved the owl. He gave a weak smile and nodded his head.
"Yeah sure thing." He responded giving the owl another hug before removing his arm around him. Not that he wanted to distance himself but he all the close contact was starting to really make his skin ache. It was something about himself that he despised, he could never really be close to people at least for long periods of time. His skin was just too sensitive and though he had managed to use willpower to ignore most of the pain he experienced even he had his limitations.
Pushing the wing of Geia's away gently he stood and turned to face Geia. He offered the owl a hand, his carefree smile on his face. "Come on, lets see just how well you can take to air." Chath encouraged.

Vorel circled around Keir to make sure that he was staying up, watching the way that he was moving, and then narrowed his eyes slightly. It was because he had been watching Ligeia so much of late that he could tell that the Black dragon wasn't doing his very best, he seemed to be hurting which concerned the Frost, "Should land soon." He suggested it as if it were all part of the learning process, "Rest some and try again, no strain."
He tried to figure out a way he could help Keir but their wings were to large, would get in the way and it wasn't like they could hold hands like what his partner did with the ones he taught.
Ligeia watched Chath for a long moment before giving a nod of his head, "Alright, I want for us to be able to talk not just to hear myself talk." He said, mostly because that meant that he was the only one being bothersome. He looked up at the sky as Chath stood up and then gave a little shiver, "Y-Yeah... I guess I can t-try." He whispered.
He was torn between really wanting to get back up into the air and being afraid to get back up in the air only to fall.

The strain he felt in hs wings was enough to have theblack dragon comply without hesitation or agrument with the Frost. Even as the dragon spoke Keir found himself picking a good spot to land and glided down towards it. Folding in his wings he felt the muscles stiffen in protest,it felt good to be back on solid ground.....he wasn't so sure about flying.
Hungry. Keir said looking up to Vorel who was stillin the air. He was very hungry he wondered if there were any small creatures that they could nibble on.
Chath leaned over and brushed a light kiss on the owls forhead. He still found it strange to express his feelings and give the boy kisses. Somehow it still felt like their relationship was very sureal, as if it were something that could dissapear in an instant.
"You will never know until you try right?" He encouraged taking one of the owls hands carefullyand tugging him up into a standing position.
"I will be right here. I won't let anything happen to you." Again... He added the last part in his mind. he couldn't stand seeing the owl hurt...nor anyone else for that matter.

Vorel was quick to following Keir, landing along side the black dragon and stretched out before flopping down to lay next to him. He hoped that his friend wouldn't push himself and end up straining something or crashing. Keir was a very determined dragon but he wondered if that could be a bad thing.
"Can look around for food." He said, lifting his head and turned it from side to side. It may be a little chilly out but that didn't mean that nothing would be around in the park that was edible.
Ligeia looked up at the sky again, gazing without blinking for a long moment before nodding, "Alright... so long as your right here." He murmured, opening his wings and stretched them out. He couldn't say no, couldn't run away when Chath was here now could he? It would make him look weaker then he already was and that wasn't what the owl wanted, he wanted to strong... or at least strong enough.
He gave a flap of his wings, there was a small twinge from the muscles that hadn't been used in a while, "Feels like when I was first learning to fly all over again." He gave a little laugh, "What a mess that had been."

Keir nodded his head already raising a head to sniff the air for anything that could be deemed edible. He knew better than to bring his caught prey to Chath again...not after the last incident. The boy was much too sensitive about death. He smelt all sorts of things...but...he smelt something he recognized. Hot dogs. The black scanned the area and slowly went along following the scent. It was human food. But it smelt so...very good.
Smell food.... The black stated as he wandered off.
Chath gave a reassuring smile and nodded his head in understanding. Loosing his arm had a similar effect on him. It was learning to do everything all over again.
"I think we both have had a lot to deal with. But if you are willing to try again then maybe I can find more motivation when it comes to using my magic." He replied thinking idly to himself that the owl looked something close to an angel when he spread out his wings.

Vorel pushed up to his feet and followed after Keir quickly. There was a moment where he wondered if he should tell Ligeia that they were going out to find food but decided that his owl would be alright with the newt. He would leave them be for now, let them talk and he would keep his eyes on the black dragon.
The Frost dragon sniffed at the air, curious where the food he smelled was located.
Ligeia started to flap a bit more, rising up off the ground though only a little bit at a time. Even being only a couple feet off the ground was a change for Ligeia, felt good. He let his eyes close as he fluttered and gave a happy sound, "Missed this feeling." He murmured to himself.
A few moments of hovering and he was forced to land, his wings unused to the exercise begged for a rest.

The black dragon found the hot dog cart, it was...abandoned in his eyes no human near it at all. The poor sap who was running the cart had gone hurriedly to the wash room that was nearby. Hot dogs were lifes mystery meat, Keir didn't much care for them...he preferred his meat raw if not moving still. Moving over he grabbed the cart handle with his teeth and began dragging it off somewhere where the two of them could eat in peace.
Chath smiled, he liked seeing Ligeia happy, not distressed. It was good of him to try he held onto the owls hands as he rose slightly off the ground and felt the breeze created by his wings on his already cooled skin. He shivered, he should be going home and grabbing some real clothes. Or at least staying indoors on days like this.
"See, just little steps and you will be up in the air again." He encouraged yet again nodding and going in to give the owl a hug. Mostly craving the warmth of his body despite his sensitive skin saying no no no no more pain.

Vorel watched as Keir drug the cart off and looked around. There were no humans here, nobody to claim the cart and its contents as theirs so... that meant this was a finders/keepers thing right? His mind went over the information before deciding that must be so and he followed after Keir. Whatever was in the cart smelled rather good, he couldn't place what it smelled like though... a combination of various meats he'd had before though.
It felt a little lazy hunting this way but given Keir had been doing a lot in the way of learning to fly he wouldn't say that since the Black dragon must be tired.
"I hope so, it feels weird being on the ground all the time. Vorel takes me out flying but its not the same." He said, then shook his head not wanting to go back to feeling depressed over the subject. The ability to fly was there he just had to push past his fears and continue to try!
Ligeia wrapped his arms around Chath first then his wings, looking at him in concern before he said, "You feel kinda cold." He murmured as his bare hands had come in contact with Chath's skin which felt cooler then normal, "Are you alright? Do you want to go someplace warmer?" The only problem with that being most places wanted you to wear shoes, something that Ligeia was lacking. Maybe they would be merciful given it was such a cold day? He hoped so.
