Ha! The psp isn't the only one who gets ports/remakes!

PSP has gotten the FF re-makes after the GBA.

At least the DS is going to make FF IV at least insterting unlike the PSP which shoves out the same game with no other features.

The PSP has tooo many ports. =/

More/Better music, extra dungeons, side-stories, more characters, engrish translation errors corrected, and FMV/Voice acting additions is really "shoving out the game with no other features".

Not the FF ports. >>; I meant the PS2 to PSP ports.

WAIT, WTF DID YOU JUST SAY?!?!?!
When did they start porting games from the Playstation 2 to the PSP?!?!?!
This is very good news to me, please explain! 3nodding

Uhh...I meant to say PS2 games ported over to the PSP with no added features. Like Madden...etc.
In other words, games that ported over from the PS2 with similar features. Like I said before, PSP has too many ports that don't differ from the PS2 games.

Then again not many of the games (if not, then none of the games) for psp were ever ported from the Playstation 2, so that'd be a guess based on such vague information. Besides, a good majority of the games that have been ported over to the psp have had improved features all around, so there's a plus! 4laugh

That doesn't necessarily mean that the PSP wouldn't be able to handle remakes of Playstation 2 games. With the right amount of patience, the developers could rebuild their Playstation 2 classics from the ground up, because all they would have to do is to just really remake everything into a smaller format. That's what happens when you rip songs from compact discs into mp3's, is you're actually compressing the file into a smaller format, just like converting dollars into yen & vice-versa. Does that make sense? smile

I didn't say it couldn't. I was just answering your question. I know the PSP can pull off good ports of PS2 games, I've played some, it's just that some are bad, most are average, and some are awesome

Not to say average is bad or anything, average is never bad.

It could handle it just not at the same resolution. I would expect a console to have higher resolution than a handheld.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Well, in that case, then, we should probably get better developers is all.

That's like asking for a another B-Sides track from Gorillaz exclusively for the UK. It won't happen unless your God. You can't just pluck better devs outta the air. It's luck and prey to Cthulhu thing.

It has to be a causal gamer that watches Anime and sometimes plays GTA.

That's the only way you'll get a different Idea that won't involve some level 35 Paladin. No offense to Ace.

Or at least a group of gamers such as ourselves who are much more open-minded and introspective about gaming itself! biggrin
