Enola the Witch

She lifted her head, tilting it a bit to the side with one eye squinting in the sun and the other completely closed. "Hey, why did you want a lift if you weren't going to stay?" The man seemed so cold to her, like she'd wronged him somehow. Not a good feeling, is it? his words echoed in her head. Could he feel the same way? Or did he just know how she felt? Either way, his words had struck a chord.

Alex stopped, and turned around, his gaze pierced her to the bone, "If i'd said No, would you be here?" he said quietly,

Kitanai snickered, "Of course I would, this is the only safe place in Forgottenland," she retorted. Why would he think I wouldn't come without him? she wondered. She sure did pick up some of the strangest people.

Alex turned away again, "what ever answer satisfies you," he said after a long pause, "I'm going back to the hole, thanks to you, I've found a nightwalker that deserves to Die," he began walking again.

Kill Jecht? The thought did make her feel a bit like laughing, as it was almost impossible to even find Jecht, let alone kill him. He was, after all, the leader of the nightwalkers. Kitanai let him go, not really having cared too much in the first place whether he stayed or went. Laying her head back down on the rock, Kitanai stared up at the blue sky above her.

Alex made it to the edge of the promised land, He burshed himself off, "Let' see if I've still got it," after a second's concentration he burst of in a fit of speed, leaving behind only a dust cloud.

The sound of the man's feet beating fast and heavy on the ground faded quickly, telling Kitanai that he was obviously quite fast. Though it didn't matter. She would probably never see him again anyway.

Almost as soon as he set foot back into The Hole, he encountered two night-Walkers, they were already finished feeding of a young child, Alex felt fury bubbling inside him, "Hey!" he shouted at the night-walkers, both of them turned around, one of them sneered, the other jus stared at Alex, suddenly the sneering night-walker's face turned to one of complete horror, as it felt it's own insides moving around, suddenly it's stomach burst froms it mouth, then it's body exploded from the inside out, the other night-walker looked at the remains of it's companion, then began to run, Alex didn't give it the chance, The night-walker jerked into the air, and floated infront of Alex, Alex looked it in it's fear filled eyes, "tell me, Where is Jecht?" he asked, his voice filled with disgust and malice, The night-walker couldn't even quiver in fear, Alex's hold upon him was absolute, after several moments, the Night-walker opened it's mouth, "I...I don't know!" it said pitifully, Alex let forth his fury, the night-walker was ripped to pieces in the air, arms, legs, bits of body and organs flew all over the area,

After resting for a bit, Kitanai decided that it was now safe enough for her to leave the Promised Land again. Stepping out of the cool air into the hot desert sun that baked the Hole, Kitanai could feel the presence of those who had been sent to stalk her. Well, let the games begin, she thought to herself, frustrated that Jecht had sent his ghouls to chase after her when he knew that she would destroy them. She showed no sign of awareness, as she could not yet see the creatures that were there for her.

Walking nonchalantly yet aware, Kitanai's heavy boots fell on the ground kicking up dust and rocks around her feet, the only sound for miles. She could see the heat waves coming up from the ground, and in them shapes that were barely noticeable. Suddenly, the shapes became solid, covered in thick black leathery skin and leaping at her from all sides. Kitanai lept into the air, her wings carrying her above the rubble as she unleashed an astral attack, a bright purple orb forming in her hands and flying at the pack of hungry night-walkers. Below her, the ground exploded into bits, limbs of the destroyed pack flying every which way in the air. When the dust settled, nothing was left but blood and bones and a giant hole in the dead ground. Landing softly, Kitanai dusted her hands off. Such a small attack had only drained her a little bit, not enough to be noticeable, and she continued heading for the Hole.

Jecht was near, but he was keeping his distance. She knew that he could see her, as she felt his eyes laying heavy upon her scar. However, again she showed no signs of being aware of his presence.

Alex walked deeper into the hole, Night-walkers seemed to be gather in thick packs, almost like they were trying to stop him from moving forward, he left a trail of dead bodies, ripped limbs, imploded bodies, no matter how many he killed more stood in his way, "Mindless beasts!!!" he shouted, letting loose a psychonic shockwave, it flung night-walkers, trees, building flying in all directions, and creating a huge crater where he stood, Sitrel climbed out of the crater, and began to walk forward again. "Where are you Jecht!" he shouted,

[]Don't forget that with psychic powers come limitations.[]

Kitanai stepped into the lifeless streets of the slums, feeling upon her the eyes of the many Forgotten living there. Jecht's form slipped through the area, watching Kitanai from nearby, she being the only living thing around who knew that he was even there.

(yes I know, Don't worry, I don't god mode,)

Alex, exhausted from his search for Jecht, and the over exertion of his powers, slumped down against a wall, he only needed a moments rest to give his mind time to loosen regain it's clarity, Where could he be? he thought to himself,

[]Groovy.[]

An arrow flew out at her head, seemingly from nowhere, and Kitanai lifted a hand quickly to grab it in her fist, the tip only a centimeter from her temple. Looking to her left where the arrow had come from, Kitanai's eyes glowed a deep purple hue again. Jecht appeared before her, his devilish grin so wide that it almost touched his ears, his fangs sticking down to his chin. "Fabulous," he started, but Kitanai jabbed her hand open-palm into his throat before he could get out another word. Blood as black as the night and as thick as oil spilled over her hand, but Jecht's smile remained. However, the astral energy forming in her hand inside of Jecht's neck caused his grin to turn to an immediate frown, his eyes growing wide before his entire body exploded, the thick black blood spilling all over the area. Kitanai had waited years to do that, though she never thought that she would. It felt good, killing that piece of her past, but she knew that she now had nothing to go back to ever.

If Yukyo had been there, she would have had something worth living for. Instead, she would spend the rest of her life running away but having nowhere to go to for safety. Yukyo, the reason she had left the night-walkers in the first place. Yukyo, the man who had brought out the good in her, turned her from a wild bloodlusting animal to a person with thought and feeling. Yukyo, the other thing that she was running away from.

Alex walked in from the darkness, "Well, I thought I was going to be the one to kill him," he looked at the remains of jecht, "What was he to you?" he asked,

Kitanai looked at the man coldly, curious as to why exactly he was there. "He was the closest thing to a father I ever had," she had sadly, though covering it up with a numbness that hurt more. "And the chase continues," she added, turning to walk away from the remnants of the battle and heading back towards her own personal home, a hut just like any of the others in the slums. Even the nightwalkers did not know of her home, as it was where she and Yukyo had spent most of their time together.
