About me:
Well, I suppose I could tell you. Since I was from my mother's third tree, I've nothing to worry about. I have two elder siblings, Ka and Yi, and one of the two will become the next ruler. I don't really care which one, although ute says I ought to. I just know I won't have to rule, and that's good enough for me. I prefer roaming around the herdlands and exploring than being cooped up talking to a bunch of stuffy old stallions and figuring out really big problems like ute does. I don't envy her one bit.
I think I'd really like to try to become a teacher. I love foals, and I love to tell stories. Mother has been busy as of late, so I'll have to find time to talk to her about it soon. In the meantime, I'll have to find somewhere else to explore. I've gone over every inch of the herdlands at least seven times since I arrived from my tree in Shrilal, and it's getting increasingly boring.

Thoughts: I love her very dearly. I try to spend as much time with her as possible when I'm not exploring. I can tell she's swiftly tiring of being Queen, and is trying to figure out what to do with my elder siblings. I have yet to actually talk with them, but from what I've heard they're quite a hoofful.
Patriarch-Mavasu

Thoughts: I have had the misfortune to meet this brute of a Jala quite a few times, as ute is forced to keep our true lineage secret, and though his coat and tearmarks are divine, they're wasted on such a short little drek. I try to stay as far from him as possible at all times.
Illusionist-Mordre
Relation: Riruy
Encounters: --
Thoughts: Miriruy. I am not allowed to call him such in front of the rest of the herd, as they all believe that Mavasu is my sire. I wish to spend more time with him but usually I'm unable to, as he's been very busy as of late.
Shaman-Dahak

Encounters: Just Another Boring Day, Perhaps?
Thoughts: Very kind and colorful. One of the only Jala in the herd that I am able to consider a friend instead of an annoyance. I hope to see him again soon, I'd love to talk with him again and perhaps go for another flight.

Thoughts: A very good slave. Well-trained with wonderful manners, and knows his place perfectly well. He's eager to please, although I don't know if it's because he truly wants to or if he's afraid that Mavasu will punish him... Good companion for travels.

~ Now ~
I'm doing fairly well right now. The herdlands are now more boring than ever, as a great number of Jala have left for the war. Some of them I didn't even know were soldiers, but oh well. I have even less to try and talk to. It doesn't matter much; I'll borrow Rowan from trie one night soon and be on my way. I'm still wondering when I'll return, and I'm not sure. Probably after I finish exploring all of Urin. Then I'll have many stories to tell ute and riruy, instead of the other way around.

~ Flying Lessons ~
Today, ute and riruy taught me how to fly! We're still on our way home, ute says, and she has told all of us about it. So has trie and riruy, although he and ute tell me not to call him that unless we're alone, and no one else can know that he is miriruy. I think that's funny, but oh well.
But anyway, ute and riruy stopped to give us all a flying lesson! It was so much fun! It was hard at first, but ute said I did very well. It was easy to learn too 'cuz riruy was our size and he showed us how. I think I did really good on my first try, but I want to practice lots more. Practice makes perfect, riruy keeps saying. Practice makes perfect. I hope I can practice when we get home, so then I can show ute and everyone else just how well I can fly.

~ Just Another Boring Day, Perhaps? ~
Well, today started out just as boring as usual, and I decided to go to my favorite alcove. It's so pretty there; going to visit it always makes me feel good, for some reason. But anyway, I went before the sun was in the middle of the sky, and I found someone already there. A blue, white, and red stallion by the name of Dahak. He was very kind to me, didn't try to suck up to me like a lot of other regular, run-of-the-mill herd members do. We talked and laughed for a while, then he agreed to go on a flight with me. It was such a wonderful day, really. Not only did I get to go flying with someone, I was lucky enough to find a wonderful conversationalist. I hope I can meet with him again.

I've been spending more time by myself, as ute, riruy, and trie are preparing for a war of some kind with another herd. Ute hasn't told me much, but from what she has told me, the herd is vast and is very much unlike ours. Led by a Reya stallion, with members of every breed, and even crossbreeds are accepted there. A herd of warriors, she has told me. It's a terrifying thought, to be sure, and I'm very glad I don't have to venture anywhere near there. I pity and give good luck wishes to those that do.
Most of the soldiers have left, as well as the outsider ute has allowed into our lands. A golden-dappled beauty, I have heard some say, with a curly mane and tail as white as snow. She sounds wonderful, and I wish I could meet her, although ute has strictly forbidden me from ferreting the visitor out. But, why can't I? She comes from outside Fyhi, she must have traveled all over Urin and back. Why can't I learn from what she has seen? Oh well. Outsiders are crude with awful manners, as riruy told me when I was young, so perhaps I'll leave her alone. I'll go explore Urin myself. Stories of something cannot match seeing it with ones' own eyes.
But I know that they will forbid it. Ute will worry over me for certain, riruy will be against it as well, I'm sure, and trie will downright refuse. Oh well. I'll just have to leave ute a note of some sort and leave in the middle of the night. I don't want to go by myself though, and I doubt my siblings will want to leave our wonderful home. I'll just have to borrow trie's Aeri slave and take him with me. He's a loyal slave, he'll do his job and escort me. He used to live outside Fyhi as well, perhaps he will know his way around still.
