Hiya, fellow DT fans, my name is Derek Yew, and I reside in a small village called Jans Bay, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Being this far from a real city has made it difficult for me to obtain DT albums, but since I am a true fan, I make it my mission to get them even if urges me to stick out my thumb on an open highway with only 25 dollars in my pocket for the album. It happened once or twice. I am a huge fan. I own most of their albums, and 2 DVD concerts. They are no doubt the best prog/metal band in the entire world. Eversince I heard 'Home' and 'Dance of Eternity' I was hooked. Sucked into the world of riffs and banging solos along with melodic voice executions by none other than Canadian born, James Labrie... my hero.

I'm also into Gaming, Anime, Singing, and few sports. I'm outgoing and easy to talk to, so I can't wait to get to know you guys better.

Hey, I'm Arter. Just got invited, seems like a cool place. I tend to not be on too very often, so you probably won't see me much. I like DT, not my favorite band though. I don't own any of their albums or know many of the band members' names, but I listen to them from time to time. I normally don't like to listen to the same artist or song for too long at a time, so with DT's quite lengthy songs, I usually have to be in the right mood to listen to them. I have a favorite song, I forget the title but I'm pretty sure it's called Scarred. I also like Pull Me Under a lot.
Well, that's about it, for now. Laters.

Dude you're awesome. I haven't been able to get anything else DT or Anime or anything else I like because I have no money and no job at the moment.

Lol. Thanks. Yeah, some moments were pretty desperate. Though I had family in Saskatoon(Where I buy my DT things) so the trip there eventually ended up with a hot meal and a warm bed.

It's good to know that your family is there for you when you need them on your trips.

Hello,

My name is Paola (pronounce pah-oh-luh and not pay-oh-luh. Major pet peeve), I live in Colombia (South America) and I'm 14 years old.
I... love Dream Theater... more than anything in the world. I first knew of the existance of DT when I saw a guy wearing a shirt of them at a Metallica concert 2 years ago. The first song I heard by DT was "Learning to Live" and ever since, I fell in love with them.

Anyways my Name is Andrew and i'm from Houston tx. I found John Petrucci is gods Xanga by chance and commented and told her im on gaia and that I also like DT and here I am now mrgreen . I've been playing the drums for 3 years and i'm very enthusiastic about it and i'm a very quick learner. Mike Portnoy is one of my top inspirations as well as Thomas Lang, Virgil Donati, Nick Menza, Mike Mangini, Vinnie Colauita, Mike Minneman, Gar Samuelson and many many more. I love Thrash/Prog/Symphonic metal, any metal with awesome riffs blistering guitar solos and drums. My favorite guitarists include the untouchable Jason Becker and Marty Friedman, Theodor Zairus, Shawn Lane, Michael Angelo Batio, Yngwie Malmsteem, Dave Mustaine, John Petrucci, Michael Romeo, Jeff Loomis, Steve Vai, and Jeff Waters.

My name's Sam, I'm 17 and I'm from from England. I've been into Dream Theater since I got images and words and awake for christmas a few years ago. I've bought all the studio albums since and i'm going to see them in London next week! I'm a fan of most rock music and i play the guitar a little, but can't play much other than a few Iron Maiden riffs.

Hello, I'm Jess, I'm 17, and I play bass guitar (Religiously) and stand-up bass.

I've been into Dream Theater for about a year and a half now. I first listened to the song "The Glass Prison" and was blown away by the musicianship of it. After listening to that I got Metropolis Part 2: Scenes from a Memory. That was definately the most amazing musical experience I've ever experienced, I sat in my room in the lights off, put the cd into my stereo system, got comfortable, closed my eyes, and let that amazing music pour into my ears and saturate my consciousness. As I listened to and analyzed the incredible musicianship I also saw the story of The Miracle and The Sleeper and Victoria unfold.

Truly the best album I've ever listened to.

but yeah.

I get alot of influence from Dream Theater, I can play a few songs off of Images and words, and (when i downtune my bass to BEAD) I can play most of the glass prison.

I'm also greatly Influenced by bands such as Rush, Coheed and Cambria, Mudvayne, Primus, Tool, and Opeth.
