"You know, we kinda do that too, you and I. Since you are the famed half Kalona, and I am the terrible full blooded Kalona." Oh, the travesty! "But seriously, it feels nice that I am pretty much over that whole ordeal. I just want my kids to feel the same way, ya know? I really ******** up when I was little, and it caused my dad a lot of pain, but he also didn't know how to handle it. So, I think we should be ready for anything."
Yes, that was probably the best way to think about it, and the mare only giggled at Antony's next set of words. "Oh, I say a lot of egotistical stuff. That's why I was so surprised by your question. Maybe I haven't said enough around you.." she shrugged, and then added, "I don't care about my appearance as much as my father, but I sure do care that our kids are pretty!"
But, that was a given, so why worry!

Ah yes, the full-blood half-blood thing. Even thinking about it, Antony felt his jaw setting slightly before he nosed Loveless. "That's one thing I want to make sure we do our best to help the kids with, Lessy; being a half-breed is not without it's complications, and there is a chance that some of the kids or perhaps even all of them will sport wind traits. Whatever we can do to make sure that's not an issue for them, we should."
As though that would be a hard thing! But having addressed that point, Antony's expression lightened up considerably. "Well, you were a bitchy thing and not without arrogance, but I don't know if I've ever heard you say something appearance oriented. But seriously...knowing our fathers and their tastes in choosing our mothers, the kids ought to look fine. I wouldn't worry about them." Besides, however they looked had to be fine ^^

Loveless hadn't really thought about the 'wind' child thing. She wondered what it would be like having a child without Kalona traits, and when she REALLY thought about it.. "I don't think I would care, really. Well I mean, if one of our kids had different wings. Might be interesting, actually." She imagined her blonde hair on one of those bird-like-Guilian things. "As long as our children are happy, I could care less. I always wanted to be happy, even if that sounds kind of silly." Loveless would have liked to have a different childhood, so she wanted whatever children they had to have a nice one to grow up in.
She then inquired towards something else they could expect, and she raised a brow in a humorous bout. "And YOU will need to be prepared if one of our children is ruthless and evil. Do you like you will be able to handle it?" As much as Loveless wanted to joke, it WAS a possibility. In her streamed real Kalona blood, and the chances were just as demanding.
"There are all kinds of situations I can think of, but if we worry about it too much now, then we might turn into obsessive parents. And that wouldn't be good, would it?" Loveless shook her head while glancing back at the ground. "I wonder what happy-medium we will find, and if we will ever make it there."

On the one hand, it was nice to see Loveless so tolerant of the idea of a 'different' child. Then again, she'd met his father enough to know that there was more to Tony himself that exactly met the eye, and if she had three bird winged and hair tailed hornless Soquili, that would only be fitting considering she'd made it with a half-breed. Lord knows that things would be easier for the kids if they looked like one breed...and one non-kalona breed, at that.
Still, he wasn't going to discriminate. Look at Loveless, after all, who WAS a full blood kalona and yet somehow to be decent. It wasn't about the blood, really...
Which was why he frowned slightly at the idea of one of his kids being evil. "I personally think that environment matters more for temperament, Lessy; as long as the kids are loved and raised in the best environment we can give them, I'm not worried about them being nasty. And if they are, you can sympathize with them and show them how to overcome, right?"
Still, even joking about the topic was hard for Tony, and he quickly changed the subject. "Obsessing has never done anyone any good. I say that we just put this whole pregnancy thing out of our minds for a while and start worrying when they actually show up!" Brilliant plan.

"There you go again, pawning everything on me." Loveless then mockingly rolled her eyes, while giggling slightly at the stallion. "But yes, we will both have lots of responsibilities to handle, but I have no doubt that once we get into the swing of things, the hardships will be handled easily." Loveless hoped that if she kept telling herself such positive things, the experience would also be just as positive. That's what everyone else did, and in a way, she was copying their methods.
But, she was relieved to hear Antony's next set of words, and she fluffed her mane while nodding. "Well then, if we aren't going to worry about that scenario, what should I occupy myself with?" She fluttered her eyes with a light laugh, but was curious as to what the stallion was thinking. "Honestly, I don't know what to occupy my time with. My body feels like its caged, and when you feel caged.. there is nothing else to think about." She blinked slightly, realizing how annoying her body had been lately.
"Got any ideas? I would actually appreciate any mind change at this point.." she shuddered in a humorous way, while glancing at her hooves again. Even though she was fatter, she felt so unsteady and weak. It was SO strange.

"Hey, you're the one with the issues, Lessy...but we're not going to go into that now, seeing as how it's a dead horse and all. But anyway, moving on." Usually, Antony was pretty good at changing the subject, but when actually TRYING to come up with something else to do...especially considering that she was pregnant and therefore unable to do some of his usual pursuits, like running or flying. Was she even capable of flying? Well, maybe, but he didn't think that sounded very safe...and she DEFINITELY wasn't up for any 'wrestling', he'd imagine.
No wonder his father kept up his other socializing while his consorts were pregnant.
Ah well, he wasn't THAT animalistic, thanks much! As though he had either the drive or stamina to pursue Guilian and Ariston's lifestyle...
Without realizing it, Antony broke into a light chuckle, shaking his head in dismissal of the very idea before grinning at Loveless. "Well, there's always conversation. We never talk anymore, unless it's about you being a b***h or being pregnant! Surely there's more to talk about than THAT."

Loveless hushed herself from a scoundrel reaction, and instead lowered her head in a sigh. Antony was so right.. they never talked, did they? "But you know, the lack of talking was always a personal preference of mine, since.." she paused, and dragged her eyes off his. "I didn't want to risk growing too attached, if that makes sense."
Loveless was always comforted with the fact that they were just hanging around and having fun, that she didn't want to risk any other feelings brewing up. "Despite my usual reactions, I am actually quite emotional, and I didn't want to drag you into any mishaps of attachment. I didn't want to become too clingy, or too needy. I know that's not what you wanted." It felt kind of nice, to be honest with Antony about something that generally concerned her. "Have you ever had any doubts like that? Maybe I am just weird."
Loveless then wondered if she had made the conversation too personal, so she decided to save herself with some more casual talk. "Have you chatted with anyone else who has been out of the ordinary lately? You are much more social then I, and I know you enjoy talking to any kind and such." she shrugged and wondered if her efforts were good enough..

"Huh." Well, that was one way to look at things, Tony supposed, albiet one very foreign to him. Avoiding actual conversation as a means of avoiding attachment...well, if that was the case, then what did that really leave? Physical connection, talk about the weather, shadow puppetry?
Ah well. Chuckling, Antony tossed back his forelock, giving Loveless a nod of understanding. "So...you try to not talk so you don't get attached, huh? Well, personally I think that fondess and attachment are good things; you can have a friendship and not be clingy, after all. Besides, clingy is sometime warranted, you know? Personally, I prefer knowing that we have some kind of connection, what with the fact we're going to be spending a lot of time together and all. You can have affection without getting weird and obsessive, after all." Grinning, Antony covered Loveless' body with a wing in his usual hug, nevermind her lump made that gesture a bit less close than usual.
"So...I would say I've never had any concerns about being too close. Didn't we talk about this once, how I like actually getting to know those I spend time with in any capacity?" Maybe they hadn't; it was always possible he was just imagining things, after all! "And interesting talk...actually, the only person I've seen lately was my father. We haven't had a chance to have a good talk in ages, so I was kinda pleased to be able to find out what was going on with him and my family."
At 'family', though, Antony felt his nose wrinkling slightly, a negative thought occuring to him. "I found out my sister lives up here now, lives up here with a stallion and has foals with him. THAT was a kick in the teeth as far as realizations go." After all...he and Neve had never had any love lost between them!

Loveless grinned as Antony spoke, and she stood firmly next to his warm body. "Well, I'll try and be more sociable, and not assume it will make me crazy or anything. It will be nice to learn some new things about each other, even if they are silly or something." And Antony was probably right, she had to stop assuming that conversation would ruin how she felt about him, it would probably, if anything, strengthen their initial bond of friendship.
And within a moment, the two were off to a good start, and Loveless perked her ears as she heard about Antony and his sister. She had no idea of what he spoke of! "It was a hard realization?" she then asked, knowing it was a stupid way to phrase the question. "How come, Antony? I think you have told me before that you and your sister do not get along but, does it bother you that she had kids? Or is it because she is closer to the area now?" Loveless held a concerned look on her face, and for once she was distracted from her body, and focused completely on him.
She didn't want him to be upset, since dealing with family life was usually a hassle for the both of them. "Do you know what stallion she is with? I don't think I have heard anything myself.." It was sort of annoying that she was out of the loop, but she looked towards Antony again with the usual interest.

At the comment about silliness, Antony nearly choked on a laugh. Really, it was THEM they were talking about. In the grand scheme of things, he had to think that everything about this was silly, some massive cosmic joke. At least it was an entertaining joke, though, rather than one of those bad and obvious puns that really aren't funny to anyone except the person making them. No, that would be something COMPLETELY different, and not something that he cared to experience.
But abstract musings seemed to be the way of the game. Realizing how oddly what he'd said about Neve had to sound, he tried to move past the ponderances about cosmic humor and clear things up a bit, shaking his head at Loveless' initial query. "The fact that she's HERE bothers me, honestly. She can have a million kids and kudos to her, but we had enough trouble getting along when we were younger. It's kinda hard to explain...but we've always really just hated each other."
Tony's face was very matter of fact as he spoke; there was no reason to get impassioned about such an obvious fact. Still, the idea of having his sister around and having to deal with her in the literal sense made him much less calm...or would have, had he not already had time to get over it. "And I have no idea. I think she told Dad when he met up with her, but Dad didn't meet him himself or seem particularly worried. And why would he tell me? It's not like it matters one way or another...though I learned in passing that said stallion is a regular. My mother must have loved that."
Though he didn't elaborate further, Antony looked away from Loveless for a moment as he thought about the latest news about said mother. Last time he'd seen her hadn't been that long ago, and though she was snippy she'd been nonviolent. Though Guilian han't gone into detail with Antony, a few words about Izusa's mental state and the attack on Neve were enough for Tony to know that there really was no way he could ever 'go home' again...not now that Izusa has finally snapped. Or was it that she'd finally come back to her senses?
Either way, Tony had learned to fight to save his skin, but he wasn't about to test those skills in a fight to the death with his own mother. He might not agree with her, but he wasn't sure he could go out and try to kill her, either.
But after a few minutes, Tony realized he had been quiet for longer than he should have; shaking off the negative thoughts, he gave Loveless his usual sheepish chuckle. "Minds; give them a little freedom and they run away from you!"

Loveless noticed Antony's distant aurora as he spoke about his family, and she quietly listened while trying to understand the situation. It, most likely, was difficult for Antony to avoid Neve completely, since the past usually crept up on anyone who tried to ignore it. "I must say, I am surprised to hear you say that you hate someone that much." Loveless then added, while glancing at Antony once again. "Not that I think hate is a terrible thing, I think it keeps us away from individuals that may cause turmoil." Ah well, maybe Loveless saw things in black and white sometimes?
"But either way, I'd be happy to kick her a** if you really wanted it." the words that came out of Loveless' mouth were meant to be humorous, and she chuckled as she strode past Antony, while then lifting her spaded tail. "I haven't had a good fight in awhile, and if it would make you happy..." Oh well.. it was worth a shot, right? Loveless was really just trying to make Antony smile, but she would happily abide if he accepted!
"I think it is good that you reflected on the situation, it prepares you for anything that might come in the future. Plus, you should allow your mind the time to roam off, I know I do that all the time." But lately, she hadn't, and that was sort of strange. "What about your other brother, do you two get along?" Well, the brother that was Izusa's child..

"Yeah, well..." On one level, it surprised Tony himself, the amount of animosity he bore his sister. But then, childhood prejudices tended to be the most lasting, the most biting; perhaps if he were to actually meet Neve now that they were both adults, they'd find they had some common ground...
Yeah, he was fine with things as they were. Somehow, even if they did manage to get along a bit, he was pretty sure that the feuding that was bound to ensure would make things just as unpleasant as if they'd never renewed their acquaintance to begin with. Let Dad deal with the details of having Neve around; that was more his thing than Tony’s, anyway.
Though he honestly wouldn't put it past Loveless to follow through on her word, regardless of whether or not Neve actually deserved it. Chuckling at the idea of a fight between a real trained kalona and a half breed that likely knew how to pack a punch, he could easily see the catfight of the year. How delightful...if he was the type of stallion who liked the idea of woman fighting for him. Yeah, that wasn't his thing, alright.
Still, it was the thought that counts, and he managed to keep a straight face as he replied, "How very romantic. I'll always keep you in mind in I need anyone mugged, Lessy." As long as that someone wasn't him, anyway...actually, that was a rather depressing thought.
Moving on quickly, he acknowledged the question about Nic with a slight shrug. "Well, Nic and I halways got along great as kids, but he probably had the worst temper of all of us and gets the most violent when upset. He's also got Dad's exploratory bug on a large scale; last I know, he was off in pursuit of the world beyond the mountains. And if I know Nic...he's enjoying himself." He was a very self-reliant stallion, after all!

"Well, you know I am the expert on everything romantic." she then added, while rolling her eyes in a playful manner. But still.. if this 'sister' bothered him so much, why couldn't she be taught a lesson? That's what Loveless would have done to her own siblings. She was lucky that she never saw hers, so no feelings like Antony's existed. "I just don't want your sister stressing you out, since she clearly bothers you a lot. It is something I can't understand, but I am trying to." With another shrug, she listened more on Antony's words about his brother.
At least Antony and Nic had some sort of relationship, and Loveless grinned at that fact. "So he got the violent genes? Heh, I am surprised I never talked to him sooner. Though if I remember correctly, he looks the least like your father, so maybe it just worked out that way." Nic was obviously the loner of the family, but if Loveless had the same family situation, she probably would have done the same.. "I wonder if Nic knows about your sister having kids.. or maybe he doesn't care?" Loveless knew her own wouldn't give a crap about her.
"But if you think about it, at least we have two awesome fathers. You may not get along with your mother, and neither do I, but my father gives me enough support to stay valiant in my days." Loveless was sort of going off on a limb.. but she was trying! Antony just seemed waay too upset from his family drama.
"Well, what about the other side of your family, are they less stressful at least?" Loveless grinned and coiled her tail, wondering again how many siblings Antony had in his lifetime..

When they'd met for the first time following Loveless' growth to adulthood, Antony had been hard-pressed to believe that it was even possible for Loveless to HAVE a sense of humor, yet along use one. But here she was, cracking jokes with a face almost as straight as his! Truly, some things were amazing; simply amazing.
But at the moment, he was more keen on the subject change than anything else. He appreciated that Loveless was trying to understand him, and he knew that he himself had brought it up; still, there were some things that he just didn't enjoy discussing. Or rather, just didn't feel up to discussing.
Though he had to laugh at her ponderance about Nicholai, moving to set her straight with a chuckle. "Actually, Nicky is a wildcard. He's a lot like the kalona are supposed to be, but aside of being temperamental he's a good, reasonable sort who got along much better with Dad than Mom. Never liked Neve much, either, but again...one of those things. I doubt he knows Neve has kids, though; only reason I know is Dad, and Dad isn't likely to have seen Nic lately..."
Trailing off, Antony dismissed THAT subject with a shake of his head, shifting into a nod at her comment about their great fathers. "Something that we can agree on, there. But really, that's pretty cool. It's not often that fathers can be so involved." Which really got him thinking, to be honest; how would he measure up himself?
He was so preoccupied with that thought that he almost missed the last thing she said, turning to give her a somewhat bemused "Hmm?"

Loveless shook her head before snuggling herself next to Antony. "Goodness, you are so jumbled up in your own thoughts that you can't even listen to me? Oh well, I am just glad to see you are able to sort out some of the things some of us hate thinking about." Loveless always struggled with that herself, so she was glad to see Antony was able to figure out some internal family mishaps. "Hopefully you can sort out some of the negativity you feel rather then suppressing it, you know?" Loveless was not a psychologist by any means, but she was trying to be helpful anyways!
"Let's just hope that our children can get along in a civil manner." Loveless then said, while knowing her own family was awkward as well. "I just want there to be a stableness to what we have, if that makes sense. I am not someone who believes in the whole 'happy family' ordeal, but I want everyone to be civil to each other." With a shrug, the mare then looked at Antony, and wondered if he felt the same way.
"One thing I will promise to do is take care of our kids, especially when they are young. There are quite a few Kalonas who will not be happy with their existence, and I am ready to fight if needed. Hell, it won't be the first fight for me anyways." Loveless had come to accept THAT drama, and she knew that Antony also understood that concept of survival very well. "All of these conflicts are so silly... I can't tell if it is better having them around, or if life would be better without any of it?" Did it help keep the mare on her toes? Or did it only make her life more annoying? Sometimes she could never tell...
