The Queen shook her head again, with a sinful sigh. "No, actually that was not what I had in mind..." She shook her head once again. "I am sure you can do better. Oh well, you fail the first round. Don't worry, you will have many chances to make that up." The Queen sounded quite rude. One main reason, was she was tired of having people come through who thought they were going to be Prince's and all so far have failed. She began walking further into the arena, to a new area. She had a grim look on her face, that marked annoyed. The Queen stood in front of a vast cage. Instead of something dangerous being in it, the cage was filled with books, packets and many loose papers. With a smirk, the Queen spoke again. "Next challenge. This is to test your intelligence. All you need to do, it read through as many things as possible. You must come up with a new technique, within the five minute time limit. Also, it needs to totally surpass your other one." The Queen snapped her fingers, and the cage door opened.

Rai blinked. "Well then... this will be fun...." He said sarcastically. He walked into the cage, and looked around. There had to be something he could use... He shut his eyes, sighing a bit. "This will be fun..." Rai waited for the cage door to shut, before looking through all the papers. Diagrams, pictures, instructions, all of these things littered the hundreds of papers, books, and scrolls. "hm....."

The Queen laughed, with a bitter tone. This test was no intended to be fun at all, it was just to test your wits. She watched him closely, as time kept on ticking by. "Three minute warning." The Queen called out.

Rai nodded, an idea forming... He continued to look through the scrolls, smiling a bit. He had a feeling that he knew what he could do here.... but he needed every moment of those three minutes....

"Time!" The Queen yelled. The door to the cage opened with a loud squeak. She tapped her foot impatiently, waiting for Rai to begin. "Five.. Four... Three.. Two..." She called out.

Rai had it. He stepped out of the cage, and looked to the cieling. He took a few steps forwards, and smiled. He had learned a pretty cool trick... He shut his eyes, as ice gathered in his hands. It spread up his arms, and to his back, at the base of his shoulder blades. The ice spread out from his back, in a flat shape. They continued to spread, until large wings were attached to his body, made of ice. He lifted off the ground, his new wings flapping fluidly. The ice on his arms spread, ad covered his entire body. It solidified, and became a thick, light armor. In his right hand, a blade appeared, and he smiled, looking down to the queen. And to top it off... He held out his hands, the blade shattering. It spun in a cyclonic wave, and shot forth, the face of a dragon prominent in the snow... "How was that...?"

The Queen clapped wildly. She had only seen this technique once before. Well, not exactly all of the way when the other "prince" attempted it... "Good, good! That is a difficult one to master in the low five minutes. You pass this one." The Queen than looked a little shocked, not many people had made it this far, many of them failed both rounds. So.. She hadn't really made up a third round. "Hmm.. Now these are just going to be some personal questions, and you must answer." The Queen sat down on the ground, her legs crisscrossed. She cleared her throat, and than asked the next few questions. "Do you have children? Are your parents still alive? And.. Do you really want to even be a Prince?"

Rai landed with a light *clink* on the ground. The ice faded, and he began to answer the questions. "No, I have no children. My parents... Well, I never really knew my parents, now that I think about it... I don't even know if they're still alive..." At the final question, Rai gave it some thought. "I thought about turning it down at first... but after I thought it through, I realized that I would be best here, as a prince, than as a blacksmith. I would have to say, yes, I do want to be a prince."

The Queen placed a hand on her chin. "Very good, you may be dismissed." She pointed towards the way they had came. "Find your own way back out that way. My helpers and I will discuss if you should be a Prince or not. Don't worry, by the look of things, it is a yes. In the meantime.. just go back to what you were doing." The Queen waved her arms again, beckoning him to leave.
Reyna sat patiently, looking around. She sadly could hear nothing that they were saying, and it kind of bugged her. When she saw the Queen point towards the doors they came through, she figured it was time to leave. Reyna stood up, and ran quickly through the doors. She avoided as much contact with the Queen as she possibly could, just a bad experience from before. Reyna would ask questions later, but right now she just wanted to leave.

Rai smiled, and bowed. "Thank you." He said, before he went through the door, and looked to Reyna when on the other side. "So... you know an easy way back out...?" He asked, his eyes meeting hers. He was smiling broadly. It looked like things went well. Yin and Ryo were right behind him.

The doors behind the two shut with a loud, dusty, slam. Oddly, there was light in the room now. Reyna watched as Rai stood in the room, as well. With one last shake, she looked away from him. She was avoiding eye contact, now. Reyna just hated being in the presence of the Queen, it just made her feel so uneasy. Finally, she replied. "No... I am sure you can make ice stairs or something, now.." Reyna whimpered out. She walked all of the way to the spot that they had dropped down from. She stared up, blankly. Here hands hung around her stomach, and she looked grim.

Rai frowned, and Ryo and Yin looked to each other with a frown as well. Rai walked forward, stopping next to Reyna. "Reyna... What's wrong... Did I do something wrong...?" He asked, frowning.

Reyna continued to avoid any eye contact. Her face expression was slightly emotionless, and her body movements were exactly the same. The girl simply shook her head from left to right. "No, not you." Reyna replied. She looked up, and tried to change her attitude at the moment. Everything would be better once she was out of the palace. "Just make the stairs.." Reyna mumbled.

Rai frowned, and looked up. He took a couple steps back and held out his hands, ice forming in front of him, connecting the ground to the hole in the roof. He then motioned for Reyna to go first, still frowning. "Ok then..... if you say so..."

Reyna remained quiet. The palace with this Queen, just gave her the chills. She had no real idea why, but it was just that way.. She walked up the stairs of ice, with slow easy steps. Reyna made sure she wasn't going to slip and fall. Once at the top, she stepped out onto the vast amount of pillows. Reaching down, Reyna picked one up. She held it tightly against herself, with a gripping hug. All they needed to get out, was one more staircase of ice.
