Solstice relaxed her posture slightly a she observed the newcomer before rolling the egg back into the protective position she'd had it in earlier. Yawning and observing the bush again she nipped off a few more edible leaves before glancing back to the two like her and the older one.
"Fishing fun?"
Seeing as she still hadn't answered the earlier question Solstice mewed softly.
"Solstice I am. Who you?"

Cinnabar looked back to Solstice and bowed her head slightly, in respect and greeting, "I am Cinnabar." She smiled at her and watched as Solstice chewed the leaf. "That good to eat?" she inquired.
Liori puffed out his chest proudly, looking just a bit comical in his youth, "Liori, friend to Cinnabar." He was still so curious about these new taestysia and the new sights he'd seen so far. It was difficult keeping up.

Wynter looked at everyone. "I apologize if I frightened you all. My name is Wynter. I was just having my siesta up there." She pointed to a boulder only a few feet away. "And.. fishing... is a way to get food my friends. A yummy food in fact. You can only get it out of water. The trick is to get your food without getting wet."
She turned and went back to the foot of the boulder, where she dug up a spot where she hides her secret fishing strings. Finding them, she pulls them up with her mouth, recovering the spot so noone decides to see what else she hides in it. All the talk about food had actually made her hungry.

Liori was naturally protective of Cinnabar but also somewhat naive, so he followed after Wynter, trying to understand what this fishing thing was about. He stopped short when Cinnabar nudged him.
"Fishing ok? Liori not know." She was concerned about their safety with the stranger and the strings she had pulled out looked unusual. Her stomach growled fairly loudly just then as she blushed, making her red sparkles glitter all the more. "Stay with me?" she implored Liori, so they could remain safe together at least.
Liori nodded and affectionately nuzzled her face. "Liori protect you." He smiled brightly at her, melting away some of her hesitations in his confident, innocent mannerism.

Solstice took in the forms of the departing Liori and Cinnabar. Her gaze locked on that of Wynter's form as the others followed after her. Lying down against the egg Solstice mewed softly to it. Reassured by the silence she pawed at the leaves before managing to lift a few up to the crack and slipping them inside the shell's cover. As the sounds of a creature eating filled her ears Solstice purred softly ... content for the moment. The leaves would not hold off her hunger forever but her companion needed to be looked after too.
The egg chirped softly in thanks to the one that supplied it with protection and sustenance before falling silent. Leaves were pushed through the crack it had made to view the world around it and the warmth from above allowed the creature inside to eat in comfort. The day would come soon where it would return the favor. (( Shrugs. I didn't make that last bit up either. According to my calculations Bakari will be changing tomorrow. ))

Liori looked from Wynter to Cinnabar with a smile and then turned back to find Solstice huddling in the snow. He nudged Cinnabar and looked back on Solstice. "I be back."
He bounded over to Solstice, "Solstice come fish too?"

Solstice looked up as Liori re-approached her and inquired if she wished to fish as well. Looking back down at the egg Solstice mewed softly to it. There was a moment of silence before a chirp was heard from the creature inside. Solstice appeared to nod in agreement before stepping back a few paces to put herself beside the other Tae. Her eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Egg says 'watch this.'"
As soon as it felt that it's protector was out of harm's way the creature inside the egg trilled several high notes together before rocking back and forth. The gem set in its tail began to glow as it called on the magic to free itself. Glowing steadily now the creature struck at the surface above it. The power it had built up penetrated the shell and the creature soared upwards in a blinding flash of light. It's flight lasted only a few seconds before falling back to the ground in a gently glide ... but it was now free.
Swiveling it's head the creature took in the two creatures watching it before shakily making it's way to the one it was bonded with. Stopping in front of the blue creature it cocked it's head to the side. Silence gripped the clearing as it communicated silently with the one who had cared for it.
Well met my friend. Thank you for the care you have provided for me. My name is Bakari.

Liori watched curiously and enrapt by the chirping and unseen movements inside the shell. He lowered his head just a bit, eyeing it carefully in case it did something to harm either of them. As the pandryl emerged his eyes went wide as his mouth went slack. What in the world was this creature?
"Cinnabar!!! Come see!" he called out, not wanting his friend to miss out on this new experience in their lives.
Cinnabar tilted her head at his voice and turned her head in time to see the bright light of the pandryl's "birth" fading down and the creature walking over to Solstice. She bounded towards her friend Liori and sat somewhat behind him. She whispered to him, but loud enough to be heard by all, "What is that??"

Solstice glanced at the reappearing Cinnabar before eying Liori as well. However her attention was on Bakari. The creature had not spoken to her in chirps or squeaks but in her mind. She cocked her head to the side to marvel at the wonder that was her companion and felt pride in the fact that she had helped him into the world. The Enyalie was still a little confused but she 'thought' her next inquiry at the creature before her.
Can you hear me?
Bakari had been watching the two other creatures watch him as he gently went along the process of stretching his limbs. Arcing from his back were wings that he tested gently by flapping them back and forth in gentle motions. This was such a wonderful time for him. He was finally out of his egg. The sight of the snow was a bit of a shock for the pandryl but he quickly overcame the emotion.
At the sound of the voice in his mind Bakari spun around to gaze at Solstice. He leaped from the ground and settled on the creature's back. His response was filled with mirth.
I can hear you. You can also hear me as well. It is part of the bond we share now. I will be forever grateful for your services in protecting me these past few weeks. I will remain with you as long as I am able.

Liori watched the strange creature as it mounted onto Solstice, he took a step back. It seemed some sort of communication was being exchanged between the two.
He murmured to Cinnabar, "Looks weird?"
Cinnabar shook her head, "Is wonderful and pretty, Liori." She stepped closer, but did so slowly, trying to get a better look at Solstice's companion.

Bakari overheard the comment that the gray one made and moved to perch on top of Solstice's head. His gaze narrowed in a defiant manner before the other Tae's comment reached him. The young pandryl extended his left leg into the air and pointed awkwardly at the red and white Cinnabar before dipping his head in an unmistakable gesture of thanks.
Keeping her head still Solstice felt the creature shift around before eying Liori and Cinnabar with caution. Knowing now that Bakari would be able to keep up and also manage to guard himself left options wide open to her. Glancing in the direction that Wynter had taken Solstice murmured softly to Bakari before looking around.
"Ice fishing?"

Liori backed up, then looked around, wondering if there were more of those eggs nearby. Maybe he could find one before it started breaking like that one and see if it were better as food than the ungainly looking creature that had emerged.
Cinnabar let out an uncharacteristic giggle at the pandryl's action and bowed her head too before hearing Solstice's words. "Liori said we go ice fishing. With other one." She pointed back towards the direction they had started to leave.

Blizzard stopped in his tracks, something had caught his attention. It was noise and lots of it. He's ears pointed towards it so he could here it better. He stood still, trying to figuer out what it all was.
Hare on the other hand had over plans. He wasn't the cautious type. So instead of trying to find out what was over there by it's sounds, he bound over there through the snow. Where he came face to face with others like them. "Oh....Hiya...."

Cinnabar blinked and jumped back at the unexpected arrival of the newcomer.
Liori, leapt in front of Cinnabar to protect her and looked at the strange new Taestysia. "Who you??"
