"Faizah!" Naois called, his tail sweeping aside the snow in long, powerful wags of his tail as he nuzzled his mate, drinking in her sweet scent. "Faizah, Faizah, of course we would come back," he rested his head upon her neck, as close to an embrace as he could get. "Nothing could stop us from returning -- even if we were to fall, we would make it back here through spiritual plane, hell, or whatever lies beyond our fur and flesh."
Fianna carefully returned her mother's nuzzles, wary of her extra set of horns and mask. She huddled up to her mother as close as she could, resisting the cubbish impulse to wedge herself beneath her mother's wing. "I missed you too, mother," she purred, "And the caverns, and the surrounding forest. I'm going to have a hard time when the snow melts to rebuild my paths! But enough about us, what about you? Father kept spacing out every sunrise and sunset to ramble about how much he missed you and --"
"Fianna," Naois said, his ears tilted back in embarrassment. "Don't you think your mother would like to speak?"
His reply came in the form of a small, cubbish giggle from Fianna, who thumped her tail against the ground, pleased she managed to get the one-up on her father.

"Glad to hear it. I'm so happy that you're back..." Were banthi able to cry in joy, she certainly would have. She wiggled in between them, letting her body touch both of them like a big group hug. Even though Fianna was no longer a cub, the mother couldn't help but let her instincts kick in and did exactly that - her wing stretching out and over her daughter protectivly.
She laughed at the two of them, then met Naois' golden eye with her pair of bright blue ones. "I thought of you every sunrise and sunset too, love." Faizah licked his muzzle and purred deeply, nuzzling at his brown fur. "I've been fine, waiting here for everyone to return." She then shook her head. "But look at us, huddled together in the cold like rabbits. Come, lets all go inside and warm up." She stood and headed towards the caverns entrance. "Kasinda is inside, she'll be happy to see you."

As the wing came over here, Fianna let out a loud purr of pleasure. She felt safe, warm, and... She perked her ears up. Kasinda? Fianna felt something nagging at her, as if she should know who that person was -- but nothing came to mind. Privately, she whispered to her father, "Kasinda? Who...?"
"Your sister. You were mostly outside the Caverns, living the wild life at that time," her father replied. He felt a twinge of guilt at this -- he could recall clearly Kasinda's gem, how it was cracked. He still felt responsible for this, and yet... How was she? Would she be angry at her father and big sister for leaving her? Naois rested his nose briefly on Faizah and took a slow lungful of her scent, calming his nerves before standing up. "Not one moment of the sun's ascent or descent remind me of your beauty and grace, my love," he whispered, nodding towards the caverns. "Please, ladies first. It is too cold for fair and beautiful creatures as yourselves. We shall learn more and share news more readily in comfort and warmth. Is there still missing from our family, Faizah?"

Faizah rolled her eyes at her mate's words. Such a charmer. But she couldn't hide her huge smile. As she walked through the passageway and lead both of them to the warming fire of the lounge she glanced back. "So far you two are the only ones I've seen. Kasinda has lived with me. Gypsy, Tama, and Akimatsu haven't come back yet."
Once they were inside the lounge, Fai sat down and called out for her youngest daughter. "Kasinda! Come meet your eldest sister and your father!" From what she could recall, they had never met before.
There was a crash from the kitchen and a loud yell following shortly after, no doubt coming from Kitara. The double-swinging doors pushed open to reveal her face, having the same eyes as her father. Her muzzle was stuffed with food, which was quickly swallowed and she came running out to them... or at least, as much of a run she could manage with only three limbs. "HI!"

Naois followed his mate and daughter into the caverns, taking a slow deep breath. He could smell the sweet scent of his mate and the earthy scent of his daughter, and beyond that... Ah, his old friend Amon -- he shall have to find him sometime to let him know he was back, and ready to serve the clan's interests as always. There was the wild scent of Rayatia, as well as... Osiris, wasn't it?
He turned his attention back to his mate. "I am confident that they will glide in someday, wondering when dinner is," he replied cheerfully. "Their wanderlust will eventually start craving the familiarity of home -- we shall see them again, and on this I'll bet my eye."
In the lounge, Naois sat next to Faizah, glancing over to note that Fianna sprawled out near them, yet closer to the fire. When Faizah called, he perked his ears up and immediately focused his attention onto the kitchen door, curious and on his feet at the loud crash.
Fianna sat up quickly as Kasinda came running, her own yellow eyes widening in surprise at her sister's appearance before slowly blinking, calming herself. Manners were another thing Naois drove into her, along with battling when they were away. She trotted over to her younger sister.
When Kasinda approached, Naois sat down again, watching her with a mix of pride and fear. Would she resent him? What should he say? What should he do? "Kasinda," he began softly, taking a few steps towards her to nuzzle a greeting. What next?
Fianna, on the other paw, immediately took a liking to her sister -- how often was it that she met someone that caused as much mischief as she had in her cubhood? "Hallos!" She replied, scooting in to give her own nuzzled greeting. "I'm Fianna! Ol' one-eye there is our father, Naois. Don't mind him, he's a little slow." She added cheerfully, laughing at the startled glare he gave her in response.

"Oh, hi!" Kasinda smiled, glancing back and forth between them. "Mom would always tell me about my family, but it's a lot different meeting you both in person." She let out a nervous laugh and bounced on her paw slightly.

Fianna chuckled, offering a shrug as best as she could give. "I know what you mean. I didn't even know I had a sister until now! Er, it's not that I mean it in a bad way," she quickly added, "I just prefer staying outside of the Caverns most of the time, so I'm out of touch a lot 'less Father tracks me down, 'sept now that it's cold out I don't like going out there since I don't like the snow." She shivered, and gave herself a few licks of reassurance.
Naois snorted, shaking his head while scrambling for something to say next. "Who else of your family have you met?" He asked, tilting his head to one side. "I regret to say that like Fianna, I had taken to a wanderlust after," After he saw her gem, and blamed himself? "After Fianna left." He finished. "Your sister wasn't as strong as she was today, and I worried for her safety." He nuzzled Faizah, a hint of pride creeping into his voice. "I knew Faizah and her brother were more than enough to protect everyone else here."

"Yeah, I don't like the snow either that much, it makes my paws hurt." The tripod sat up on her rear, allowing her lone forepaw to dangle tucked in front of her. It was something she had mastered awhile ago whenever she wanted something... a sort of trick that was also used to keep her paw from aching.
Yellow eyes blinked and looked at her father. There was a pause as she thought back. "Nnnoone else, I don't think." She looked at her mother for confirmation, who nodded and returned her mate's affectionate nuzzles with her own.

Fianna shivered and bobbed her head in agreement. "Yeah! Then it soaks through your fur and leaves you cold and wet. It's horrid! Give me a warm fire any cold and wet day, and I'll be happy inside." She perked her ears up, watching her sister with respect as she balanced up. "Wow!" She gasped, "How do you do that? I always fall over when I do that... I blame my curly-horns."
Naois nodded, his guilt that was gnawing away at him suddenly taking a bigger bite. Poor girl, he thought privately to himself, Separated from her family save for her mother, along with that missing paw of her's. "They will return soon," He said cheerfully, half for his own benefit to hear his words again as well as for her's. "Your older brother Tama has fur light like your mother's, and your other older sister has dark fur like mine. They both have wings, and it's difficult to miss your older sister, as dark as she is -- she has taken a liking to shiny things, and wears purple cloth over her front paws."

"Practice!" Kasinda said cheerfully, giving her sister a large fanged grin. "I'm almost able to walk like a human too!" She glanced at her mother, who gave her a stern 'don't even think about it' look. "I uh... almost fell into the fire last time." She laughed, as if a near burning was a joke.
"Ohhh, cool! I kinda wish I had mom's wings so I could get around better but oh well." She shrugged, her tail swishing and curling around her lower paws. "Thats kinda weird, why would you wear purple stuff? I never got the whole clothing thing, it was always too complicated..." She trailed off, realizing that both of them wore armor of sorts. "... Not... that I'm against it. Armor is practical if you fight 'n stuff."

New RP
Between watching her newborn cub, counting heads around the cavern, and reclaiming any lost territory, it was rare that the alphess got her own down time. With everything finished she headed to go watch the sun set. It had been a nice warm day, the snow melting and the wind nice and cool and now it was beginning to be a chilly night.
She stepped outside the caverns and sat down, looking to the sky.

A female, new to this territory was sitting outside of the cavern entrance. The past few days the dual winged female has been studying the clan. Seeing if it was running smoothly and if she should join this clan. Scarlet was not part of any clan yet and most of her life she spent wandering aimlessly looking for her place in life. Her ears perked hearing another come out of the cave and turned to glance at her.
Her amberish-red eyes locked on the female and her tail swaying. She was rather cautious since she didn't want to cause trouble or get herself banished. She kept quiet wondering if this feather winged female will give her time a day to her?

Faizah was a little caught off guard by the appearance of someone new and different. Blinking her bright blue eyes she stared at Scarlet for a moment, assessing her with her eyes. "Well hello." She finally said, curling her tail around her clawed paws. "I can't say I've seen you before. Wandered in?"
She didn't think this female was from whatever clan that had stolen Tethra and a handful of others. Scarlet was too calm, too complacent. Someone from their rival clan would be stalking and observing, not sitting peacefully at the entrance.

"Hello.." her voice seemed quiet and she kept her eyes on the female. Her tail kept swishing about on the rock floor. Giving a nod "I had just wandered here. I belong to no clan.." perhaps the female wanted to test if she was part of a enemy clan? The female glanced back at the cavern entrance and to Faizah "My name is Scarlet. I bare no threat to this clan.." she spoke truthful.

Faizah nodded her head to her. "Nice to meet you. I'm Faizah, the alphess." She folded her spotted wings behind her, relaxing. This female knew that she was in someone else's territory and it was smart of her to get her purpose out in the open right at the beginning. One dual-winged banthi wouldn't put up any threat, not with how large the Feral Clan had grown.
"Pardon the questions I'm about to ask you, but I have to keep my family safe." She said, her telepathic voice calm and collected. This entire clan was her family and it was her duty to keep them protected after all. "You say you belong to no clan, but why is that? You couldn't have survived as a cub by your lonesome. Were you a member of one before?" She had a lot of questions for Scarlet before she would give her her blessing.
