Beryl ignored the Senshi for the most part, focusing on the man in front of her. An evil smile crept onto the queen's face. "Just you," she replied to Endymion's question.
At first she had considered using all of the Shitennou against him, but then reconsidered her plan. Jadeite and Nephrite were fully devoted to her. While it would certainly made a statement to use them, it could weaken her power over them if it shook their loyalty.
Kunzite. He was dangerous, must less under her control than Jadeite and Nephrite and had his own agenda. It wouldn't be a terrible loss if she had to sacrifice him, but on the other hand he was strong, and still very useful against the Sailor Senshi.
Her eyes drifted to Zoisite then. He had had the most contact with Endymion, and of the four was probably the closest one to the prince right now. His loyalty was even further gone than Kunzite's. Still he had powers that the other three lacked, so it would be a shame if she did have to kill him. Hopefully that would not be the case.
Beryl's eyes glowed a dangerous purple for a moment, and with a snap of her fingers she caused Zoisite to stumble forward a couple paces. She waited a moment, making sure she had Endymion's undivided attention, and then with a wave of her hand, she forced Zoisite to raise his dagger to his own throat.
"Endymion, of the Shitennou he is the one most devoted to you, making him useless to me. If you do not wish to see him die, then come to me."

Zoisite felt his body lurched forward and his sword raised up to his throat by a magical force. His body was now paralyzed by Queen Beryl's power. He knew the only Beryl get her hands on Endymion was by threatening him with Zoisite's life. He knew this women was serious and obsessed over the fact she has four trump cards in her hands, and that she can do whatever she wants in order to get her prize. Zoisite tried desperately telepathically communicate to his Master telling him not to fall for Beryl trap. Whatever happens to them, he must not let the past repeat, and he must defeat Beryl before Matellia's powers grow even stronger, but his attempt failed. Queen Beryl's powers was stronger then his, and he feared for what is going to happen.

Sailor Mercury watched the scene unfold in silence, uncertain about what she should even be feeling at this point. She was shocked that even Beryl would be capable of such a thing. Her eyes scanned over the rest of their enemies, and for some reason seemed to rest on Nephrite for longer than the others. She really wasn't sure why.~*~ The death glare that Kunzite had focused on Endymion was broken when Beryl forced Zoisite to step forward. Was she really this stupid? Willing to kill them off just so that she could have Endymion at her side? And what would happen when he was in the Dark Kingdom? Kunzite would be expected to bow to him as well.
Kunzite's focus returned to his old Master and his hand slowly edged to the hilt of his sword. Like Hell.

Nephite couldn't believe his eyes. Would Beryl go this far to get her hands on Endymion? Nephrite stood there staring at Zoisite, who had his weapon up to his throat. Anytime now, Beryl could make Zoisite kill himself. He saw the look on Zoisite's face. A look he never seen the white haired Tennou had. His expressions are usually calm, or the serious look. Never did he seen Zoisite angry, nor did he see him smile, always the serious or calm look on his face. This is the first time he seen him scared, and he should be. Nephrite felt a gaze upon him, it wasn't Beryl's evil glare, it was a gentle, worried glare. Nephrite turned his head and caught the staring blue haired Senshi.

Mamoru blinked in surprise for a moment at this sudden change in the situation. This was too cruel - forcing him to make such a decision! He tried desperately to think of a different solution, but there were too many thoughts rushing around in his mind and he couldn't think properly. He didn't want to do as she wished. If he did, what would happen to Usagi? He didn't want her to be hurt in any way! But if anything happened to Zoisite he would feel completely responsible. Mamoru wasn't going to let that happen. No one was going to die because of him! Having made up his mind, he began to walk very slowly toward Queen Beryl. But, even as he walked he was still trying to think of some kind of plan.

Sailormoon's jaw dropped as Mamoru moved towards Beryl and the Shitennou. She could not believe her eyes; was he really going to surrender himself? Yes, Zoisite was in danger, but did Mamoru really expect that his going to Beryl would save him? The woman was much too evil for that.
"Don't do it Mamoru!" she cried, moving forward as well. She would not let him submit to that woman even if it killed her. She had finally been united with him after waiting and hurting for so long. She could not just let him go without a fight when she was finally becoming perfectly happy.
"Onegai... don't leave me again..." she added, her voice dropping in volume.

Jadeite stood there puzzled at the man who Zoisite calles "master" walked towards Beryl. Why is this man sacrificing himself to save Zoisite? Jadeite thought to himself.

Having arrived later than her Senshi companions, Sailor Venus had missed a few minutes of what was currently going on. However, judging by what she saw before her, she could give a pretty accurate guess as to what she had missed. Beryl had come to claim Endymion at long last. And Venus could not honestly say it was a terrible problem for her. It kept him away from the Princess. But on the other hand, losing the Prince to the Dark Kingdom could end up posing serious problems for the Senshi.
She shifted her gaze from the Princess to Endymion and finally to the line of Shitennou standing in front of Beryl. That, too, would pose a problem. Especially the current position Zoisite, her one time partner-in-crime, was currently in. She felt a sharp pang in her chest at the sight of him. Though her enemy, he was the only one who understood just how important it was for the Prince and Princess to remain seperated. He was her only true ally at the moment and losing him now would definitely not help their cuase, even though she had done enough damage to it already with her own actions.
She knew how deeply Usagi loved Mamoru. She knew that nothing would erase that love. But she also knew what their "love" was capable of causing if it went the way it had in the past life. As the Senshi of Love, she was conflicted between encouraging her new found friend's love and keeping the events of the past life from reoccuring.
What a hard position for a Senshi to be in!

Mamoru heard Sailor Moon calling to him and he couldn't resist turning around to look at her. He wished he hadn't. The look on her face was breaking his heart. But he couldn't change his decision now. He wanted her to understand. This is what he needed to do. He walked toward her and took her hands in his. "I promise you that no matter what I will be back. I promise." He looked deep into her eyes wishing that she would believe him. Because he meant it. He had made a promise to her. That they would prove together that this time their love would not destroy the planet. He fully intended to keep that promise. But for the moment there was something that he had to take care of.

Sailormoon felt her eyes fill with tears as Mamoru grasped her hands and spoke to her. She still did not want to let him go. There had to be another way. This could not be the only option they had. "There has to be another way. There just has to!" she told him quietly, vocalizing her thoughts. She knew he was in as just pain as she was, which broke her heart even more. "This can be done without you having to give in to her demands and without anyone but that witch getting hurt!"

Queen Beryl's eyes narrowed as she watched the Princess hold the Prince's hands. Serenity didn't deserve him.
"Endymion! Leave her, or you'll force me to prove just how serious I am!" Beryl's eyes shifted back to the white haired Tennou and his dagger began to glow dangerously, the blade inching closer to his throat. Still, she held back from killing Zoisite. Once Endymion was in the Dark Kingdom, Zoisite's usefulness might increase, at least when Endymion was held over his head.
For the moment, her attention was focused on the one Tennou and the Prince.

Kunzite kept his eye on Beryl. She was too distracted right now to notice him. His right hand gripped the hilt of the sword and slowly dragged it out of it's sheath. He could take his revenge now, when Beryl was distracted, before the 'Master' could join them on this side of the field.
Kunzite changed his stance ever so slightly and waited for the right moment.

Nephrite took his gaze off of Mercury and landed on Kunzite. He could see his leader tensing up and slowly taking his sword out of its sheath. He wasn't to sure if it was Beryl's doing, or on his own. Whatever it is, he is not going to take any chances. Especially now that Beryl has Zoisite under her power, and she can kill him any time she wishes.

Venus took a slight step forward, poised to attack if necessary. She took a quick glance back at her Senshi companions and hoped they caught her look. If needed, they would just have to launch a quick surprise attack on beryl and hope that she released her hold on the Shitennou without hurting any of them.

Mamoru was focused on Usagi and barely heard Beryl's words, but he could plainly hear the threat in them and knew that she meant it. But he held Usagi's hands for a moment longer. "I won't let anyone die because of me. I can't. And I can't think of any other way. But maybe I can delay her for a moment longer. We will find a way out of this. I trust you, Usagi. And I need you to trust me. " He finally released Usagi's hands and turned back to Beryl. But he made no move towards her. He saw the danger Zoisite was in and he also noticed some stirring on her side of the field. Something was happening. In an attempt to distract her he spoke quickly. "Wait! Do I have your word that no one will be hurt if I come with you? How do I know that I can even trust you?"
