I pronounce it as ear-is-said.
Ok new word! Before Jk. Rowling said how you pronounce Hermione's name in the 4th book, how did you pronounce it.
At first I pronounced it Her-mo-nee, but then I changed it to the correct way before the 4th book came out.

Until I read the forth book, I always pronounced it Hermy-own or Hermy-own-eh. If it wasn't for Victor Krum needing to be corrected, I would still be saying it that way. When my Mom found out the was to pronounce Hermione, she was a little upset that it hadn't come up in an earlier book. "How was I supposed to guess that was how it was pronounced?!" she kept saying. *cough* Um...sorry this was so long...I just pronounce it Her-my-oh-nee now.

I pronounce it 'Her-my-oh-knee'. I've pronounced it that way since the first book. It was the easiest way for me to say it.
New word!
Lucius.
I've always pronounced it 'Lew-shi-us'.

I've gone back and forth through the years between saying Lu-shi-ous and Lu-see-ous. I don't know why, but both of them always sound right to me.

Wow, I don't remember how I used to say it before I heard it in the movies. When I read, I pronounce it "Loo-shis" or "Lu-si-uhs". neutral

Seeing as "Avada Kavada" is a play on "abra kadabra" I've alaways said it as "a-VAH-da Ka-DAH-vra" With a long 'a'
(I've taken to calling Lucius "Loo-see-us" with a slight 'sh' on the s.)

These are really interesting! Great idea, Josephine. I pronounce "avada kadavra" the same way, with the stress on the second a of each word. And Lucius like LOO-see-us. As for Hermione, I said it like "Her-my-OH-nee".

I used to pronouce "Hermione" as "her-mee-own". Or maybe it was "her-mee-won". But that was before I saw the movies. Oh, and I prounouced Accio as "a**-io" too.
