Well, I was fortunate in NC to have a competent sex-ed class and a competent student-teacher because our REAL teacher was a very very stereotypical southern black woman who told us that all girls who wore spaghetti strap tank tops had herpes and would die. Literally, she told me I had herpes because I wore a tank top. She also refused to answer a lot of questions about sex and STD's in general.
So thank ******** for our student-teacher who was finishing college and quite realistic about all of it.

I had two classes. One in 8th grade where we were given comprehensive, and our teacher (it was our gym teacher who did it) was really cool about it.
10th grade, different school, different district, and they brought in a woman from a CPC. I bet you can guess what that was like. Hint: accuracy was completely forgone, as was my attention.
