"Well, aren'tcha aliens? You were saying all of those weird words and she looks like an alien! Look at her head!" Pell herself wasn't the most normal-looking of people, considering the fact that she had wings and the whole "flowers for ears" thing was weird enough. But she didn't even think about all of that, conveniently . "One time on TV I saw somethin' 'bout aliens! And they, like, stick things up your butt! Do you do that," she asked, peering up at the alien lady and avertedly placing her hands across her backside at the same time. It was always good to know something like that.
Once they reached the rocket ship ride, Pell looked up at it. "Yeah, I usedta ride it back when I was little. Now it's kinda borin'. It'd be alright for someone stupid, though." She walked up to the slot where you put the coin into. Beside that, there was a speed and height adjustment. On the slowest speed and lowest height, the ride went almost at a snail's pace and barely moved a foot off of the ground. At the highest adjustments, the rocket almost touched the ceiling and it was fast, just like a rocket should be! Hmm. Pell stepped aside and waited for the alien lady to put her baby into the rocket.

Helen stared at her miniature acquaintance with the most unreadable expression she could possibly muster, saying, "No, I don't probe people and no, we're not aliens," deciding to leave out the fact that this girl looked even more like an alien than her own kid.
She stared cautiously at the rocket ship ride, ignoring the alien child's statement about her baby being stupid, having second thoughts, but she didn't want that coin to go to waste, and it was about Orenda having fun. With that thought, she slid the child, who didn't seem to care what was going on, inside and stood back, waiting for it to be over with.

"Ooh, so you're just weird, then? A'ight," she said, nodding as if she understood everything perfectly now. And in a way she did. Yeah, they couldn't have really been aliens anyway. Aliens were supposed to be smart and these people were far from that! Those words she had been saying were probably all made up, too! That wasn't right, making up words just to sound smart! Hmph.
Watching as the stupid woman placed the stupid baby into the rocket, Pell couldn't help but look at the speed and height adjustment again. But the lower adjustments were so boring! It wouldn't hurt anything if she upped them a notch, would it? She walked up to the rocket ship, pretending to be looking inside while the woman finished putting the baby in. While she was doing this, one of her hands flipped the switches to their highest levels. Hoping that the woman hadn't noticed (she probably hadn't, since she was stupid), Pell stepped back when she was done and watched as the ride began to move. Oh, this was going to be fun.

"Hey, wait, what did you just do," she inquired with an accusatory tone, quirking a brow at the toddler. "This better not be something stupid, like that ball pit idea of yours, because we both know how that ended up," but no sooner had she had that had the ride started up and was moving around rapidly, almost violently, and the baby inside started hollering.
"Augh, not again! Stop this thing right now!" Helen screeched, not like her words would be able to stop the ride.

"I didn't do anything! I just made it where it would be funner!" Just as she spoke, the ride began to move and the baby within it began to scream. "I don't know why she's doin' that, it's real fun! Promise! It must be cuz she's stupid," she said, staring at the shaking ride as it moved up and down. A grin split her face at the sight of it. Hey, that did look fun! Maybe she should have been the one to ride on it.
"You hafta wait for it cut off. Dun worry, it doesn't last that long. Though last time I was 'ere it lasted so long the boy in it threw up! But he was real fat." The stupid baby had that to her credit, at least. She wasn't fat. Oh, well, it was alright, the lady would, as Wotcher said, "get over it." It's not like anything bad would happen to the baby. The ride was probably almost over!

No sooner than the ride was over was she, once again, cradling her child and glaring daggers at anyone in the immediate vicinity, specifically the orange-haired child right next to them. Taking deep breathes, she asked, "Say, could you show me who you're here with? I want to," she paused to find the right words, "have a talk with them, about how nice you've been to us and everything."
Which was quite the lie, but, if Pell was going to fall for it, then by all means.

Wondrously oblivious of any nasty looks the lady was giving her, Pell continued to grin even after the baby had been extracted from the ride. "Dat was fun, weren't it? Do ya wanna go again," she asked, looking back to the ride with much fervor. Obviously the baby hadn't suffahcrated. In fact, now that she thought about it, those screams had been screams of joy! Why had the lady been yelling?
However, any thoughts of a second ride were pretty soon dashed out. She wanted to see Wotcher! And she was gonna tell him about how nice she had been all day long! Maybe after they left here he would go to the store and buy her a toy, just because of that! "Sure, he's this way," she said, more excitably than the circumstances allowed. Leading them through the play area and back to the eating area, Pell arrived at the table where Wotcher was still sitting, watching the animatronic show for the fifth time in a row. "Wotcha! This here lady is here!"
Wotcher, who had been watching the show with something next to amazement, turned to look at Pell. "Hmm, what? What lady?" It was then that he noticed Helen and the baby she was holding. Weird looking bunch. "Uh, what can I do for you?"

Helen, who had not calmed down as nearly as much as she'd wanted to by the time they reached the table, barely managed a smile, though it looked quite grim. "I just wanted to tell you about the, how should I put this," she pondered a moment, "adventures your child has been on with my baby."
No matter how much she chanted her inner mantra of, "Stay calm, stay calm, stay calm," she couldn't help herself any longer.
"I just have to say," without thinking, "that your child is the worst kid I've ever seen and, believe me, I've seen some real terrors around this place, but your kid? The. Worst. Yet. I hope no one ever has to endure her stupidity ever again! She has no common sense whatsoever! What kind of father are you, unleashing this thing here?!" She sucked in a breath and went off in a huff, grabbing her coat and stomping towards the exit, shoving some poor, innocent bystander out of her way in the process.
So much for having fun.

Wotcher stared blankly at the woman as she ranted. Woah, man, wait, what exactly was she talking about? He shouldn't be listen to people so soon after watching that show. All he felt was goo-y, calmness. He continued to stare, and she continued to rant. He didn't say and thing and simply watched her walk away once she was done. Then he shooks his head and gave Pell a long sideways look. "What exactly did you do?"
During the woman's outburst, Pell had climbed into the chair and taken a slice of pizza for herself. It had gotten cold during her time spent in the play area, but it was still good. Swallowing a piece, she looked at Wotcher as he voiced his question. "I just played wit' her baby. I dunno, but she wasn't very nice. Didn't even say thanks," she said before taking another bite of her pizza. "You said if I was good I could go getta toy. Can we, pleeease?" She reached out for her drink.
Still not fully understanding what had happened, Wotcher decided just to not worry and grabbed himself his own slice of pizza. "Yeah, right after this," he answered half-mindedly, his attention already focused on the animatronic show again.
Behind the cup that was still raised to her lips, Pell smiled.
