Devakanya gave Antony what could only be called a 'look'. If he wasn't going to listen to her opinion, why did he ask? Boys! But she couldn't refuse when he invited her to look for a blue rock (why blue?) with him. She shrugged and nodded, looking at her feet as she started after the prince. They wandered through the collar section before wandering into the aquarium area. Hmm. There were little fish rocks and fish tank decorations, but she didn't see any big blue rocks.
...except that one. Devakanya tugged on Antony's sleeve gently before pointing to the top shelf. See, up there? There was a nice blue rock up there. Way, way up there. How were they supposed to get that?

"Hmmm, that won't clash with my walls," he said with a nod. "We'll mark where it's at and keep looking for other things, don't you think? That way we can have that one Mister come and get it for us."
In other words he wasn't one to risk his life for a stone when others could do it for him. "Look, it says it's a heating rock. She'll like that, don't you think? Snakes are cold blooded." And could disappear into the background, just like him.
He shook the thought off, hiding it behind a smile. "She'll need a cage, too."

...Antony knew an awful lot about clothes and colors and clashing for a boy, Devi noted. Then again, so did her brother. In fact, Osha might even know more than Antony, he was just less neat. Actually, he was a total slob and usually had paint or something on him. That aside, it still seemed like a nice rock for the snake. Duchess.
Devakanya blinked and turned, pointing back to the tank Duchess was sitting in. That seemed fine and the snake...seemed happy. (Not that Devakanya could possibly know, but she assumed a grumpy snake might be meaner.) So they should get something that was like that. Then she'd hardly know she was in a new place, right? It would be nicer to her that way too.

Antony nodded in agreement. "I think those are over by the fish," he told her. "Shall we go look?"
A heating rock, an aquarium, gravel, some sort of lining for the cage bottom, something easy to clean, he decided, maybe he'd put newspaper under it so he could just roll it up and toss it... and a small, shallow pool of water, perhaps?

Devakanya nodded and followed Antony over to the fish section. The aquarium and the gravel was easy to find, as it was just basic fish supplies. A pool wouldn't be that hard to find either, maybe a dog dish, or maybe they had special bowls just for snakes. The little unicorn waited quietly well Antony gathered his things. It wasn't like he needed an opinion (or that he would listen to an opinion) anyways.

She was right, he wouldn't have listened much, anyway. He put the things on the counter. "Can you get us one of those blue heating rocks, too?" he asked the man. "I've already picked my snake."
"A... snake?"
"Yes, sir."
"It's a cornsnake, boss," the kid called, having already put the snake in a bag. He put it on the counter next to Antony's things. "You're gonna haveta get him food in a few days."
"Yes, I figured," Antony said, not about to mention what that food was.
"I'll get the rock."
