Katie was hit in her stomach and thrown through the air. Spinning herself, she landed on her paws, sneezing at the dust. She couldn't see much in the dust that was kicked up.
Kira frowned; she could see nothing that was going on. "Katie! If you can hear me, you have to fight on your own! I trust you, I know that you can do this!" She had no other choice than to put faith into her partner; she could see nothing through the dust cloud.
Katie's ears twitched at her human's voice, hearing her command. Pressing her ears back, she attempted to sense where Chuchu was. Picking up some movement, she charged herself and sent a Thunder attack at it.

Luna paused and thought. Oh well. Even without her, ChuChu had enough battle experience to pull through. She hoped. Luna smiled and cheered for her pokemon inwardly as she perched her head on her hands again to observe the battle...or trying to at least.
ChuChu perked up when she sensed electricity near her. THERE! She said in her mind, charging up her fist again. This time, it glowed. She punched through the thunder attack, feeling Katie's now-familiar electricity racing up her body once more. The raichu aimed at the sillhoutte behind the attack. "CHU!" She shouted.
Luna looked up as she saw a glowing light coming from below. "She must be using mega-punch..." Luna thought to herself and smiled. ChuChu would do just fine.

Kira winced at the glows coming below. This killed her that she couldn't see what was going on. Her precious Pachirisu was having a hard fight, and she couldn't give any help now. "Katie! You can do it! Keep going!" She figured she could at least give her Pokemon some support.
Katie saw the glowing fist coming at her too late to dodge, so instead she brought her tail around to cushion the majority of the blow. Acting immediately, she bit down hard at Chuchu with another Super Fang attack.

Luna sighed, sitting ontop of her pillar. She could sense the battle coming to a close. She smiled lightly. "Do your best ChuChu!" She shouted. "Don't forge tour secret weapon!" A hint for her pokemon. She had no clue of ChuChu would go with it or not, but it could possibly help.
ChuChu was breathing heavily down below. She heard her trainer's voice and felt her strength coming back to her. She wasn't completely alone! As she saw Katie's attack approaching, she frowned. This was getting to the end and she did NOT want to lose. Losing was unacceptable! She had already lost twice and she did not want to face defeat a third time.
ChuChu brought back her first and brought it to Katie's mouth. The fangs pierced her skin, but she held strong, charging up a current on her fist. "CHUUUUUU!"

Katie felt the electricity zap her from the attack, and she immediately let go, feeling her head going fuzzy and her muscles stiffening. Shaking her head, she was able to regain her vision and her limbs loosened up again. The dust was starting to clear and she could see where Chuchu's form was.
Electricity crackled through her and she charged up, sending a Thunder attack at the Raichu.
Kira watched the dust clear, she could see two forms below, but it was indistinguishable of who was winning, much less who was who.

ChuChu was skilled in picking up currents of electricity in the air. It was no surprise when she immediately rolled at the first traces of Katie charging up her thunder attack. ChuChu took a deep breath before going in to attack the Pachirisu again.
Charging up her fist with more electricity, ChuChu ninja-crawled to Katie's back. "BOO!" She yelled before taking aim and punching.
Luna, now pretty sure who was who in the battle, couldn't resist giggling a bit. Silly ChuChu. She gave a light smile, wishing her pokemon a silent good luck with its plans.

Katie let out a surprised squeak and lept backwards as Chuchu punched at her. She could feel the static in the air and knew that if the punch had hit, she'd had suffered a great deal of damage and had probably been paralyzed.
Regaining her balance, she flicked her tail, then prepared for an Iron Tail attack. Her tail glowing, she jumped into the air to bring her Iron Tail attack down at the Raichu.
Kira blinked, then smiled, seeing that Katie was still fighting strong. "Keep it up, Katie! You're doing awesome!"

"ChuChu!" Luna called out, urging her pokemon to do SOMETHING. She new that they had to get some kind of status condition. Both she and ChuChu knew that they couldn't hope for the other pokemon to miss constantly until they knocked her out.
ChuChu put up her fist against the iron tail, grimacing as it gave a deep gash on her hand. "Here goes nothing...!" She thought as she channeled more electricity at the tail.
The raichu had to admit. She was tired. She was so very tired. But she wasn't going to give up until she was forcibly brought down on the ground and pummeled!

Katie let out a yelp as she was shocked, and her fur puffed out from the electricity that surged through her. Her eyes widened and she made a helpless sound as she found herself unable to move.
Kira took in a gasp and smacked her forehead. Why had she not picked up some status healers before she came to the stadium? The best she could do was pray for the best. "C'mon Katie, I know you can fight it! You can do it!"

The trainer was quite glad that the dust cloud had cleared. Now she could actually OBSERVE the battle. And Katie seemed to be paralyzed. The tides seemed to be turning in their favor, but she didn't know for how long. "ChuChu! Hurry and attack!"
ChuChu sensed that it was one of the few moments in battle where her trainer left it up to HER to decide what to do. It was quite thrilling in a way, it felt like being a wild pokemon again. Except not. She had the guidance and support of her human partner to back her up. She would not lose!
ChuChu ran towards the stiff Pachirisu, increasing her speed more and mroe as she approached. At the last spurt of distance, she jumped up from the ground and delivered a skull bash, flying straight for the other pokemon at a breakneck speed.

"KATIE!" Kira yelled out in horror, watching her paralyzed pokemon get hit with the attack.
Katie did her best to brace against the attack, and she felt herself fly through the air and hit the ground, rolling. She was trying to fight it, trying desperately to regain use of her limbs. She could feel herself getting tired, and her breathing was becoming heavy.
Kira fidgeted, watching her pokemon intently. "C'mon, Katie, I know you can do this...." She whispered softly.

"Let's hang on!" Luna said encouragingly. She knew that they were backed into a corner and dangerously low on HP. It was a miracle ChuChu was still up and standing. "We have to keep on stalling ChuChu!" She said, sending her pokemon another vague line of command. She knew it would be harder for her opponent to black of they didn't get a specific attack.
ChuChu took long, heavy breaths. Her vision was becoming hazy, but she just had to hold on. She had endured moments like this before! She could keep on going! Finding a hidden resevoir of strength, ChuChu dashed towards Katie once more. She started to let out a steady channel of electricity in her arm. ChuChu made sure not to use too much or too little, she needed every bit of energy left in her to make it through.
As she stood over the paralyzed Pachirisu, she made out the blury white, blue, and yellow body. Taking aim at the stomache, she punched downwards.

Katie let out a half screech, half squeal as she felt her muscles stiffen again at the electricity coursing through her. She had JUST been able to move too, oh cruse Zapadose, she was completely defenseless again!
Kira's eyebrows bushed together in worry. "Please Katie... Please pull through, I know we can do this...." Her poor friend was taking so much damage, and she felt so useless about it. She'd understand if Katie was mad at her after this, since she was the one who insisted the little Pachirisu to do a battle.

"Keep pushing at it! Iron tail!" Luna commanded. Sure, she did feel a bit guilty of hitting around the pachirisu, but a battle was a battle. She had gotten use to seeing pokemon beat each other up, she had even almost adjusted to the sight of blood pouring out of wounds. And perhaps it would even motivate the trainer to try harder. A good beating always hardened a pokemon.
ChuChu immediately followed up her punch with a twist, turning around and whipping her tail at Katie's body. She was completely in battle mode, gone was the usual friendly raichu. Her eyes glinted. "Chuuuuuuu!"

Katie could do nothing but brace herself against the impact. The Iron tail smacked down on her, sending her body bouncing and rolling in the dirt of the stadium. "Suuuuu...." She let out weakly, feeling her vision beginning to blur.
Kira bit her lip, watching her friend getting a pounding, and feeling guilt beginning to build up. "I'm so sorry Katie...." She whispered softly.
