When Memetuka lowered herself for Kutulia to climb on top of her, all traces of disappointment seemed to leave the hare. This would not be the type of adventure to prove herself to her family, but it would be a quest to find her sister with great company. While Mnyama was less shy about requesting to sit atop the lioness, Kutulia only asked when her sister was already there and it would not seem so awkward.
At Meme's direction, Kutulia hopped over towards the lioness and began to climb up and onto her back. Once she was comfortable, she looked back towards her parents and offered a wave. "We'll be right back!" She promised, knowing her mother needed all the comfort she could get.
When his daughter gave a wave, Sungura smiled and returned the gesture. While he regretted to admit it, his daughter was growing up and wishing for the same independence Mnyama had been born with.
Looking to Cheshi, Sungura smiled and then returned his gaze towards his daughter and the family friend. "Meme is a great lioness."
