"Ulaya?" he questioned, the word completely new. "What in the hell is a Ulaya?" He was human, wasn't he? Although, he had been transformed into... something that had paws. Was this what this form was called? Ulaya. It sounded right, but eh... like he cared? "I don't know what I'm doing here. I was on a journey the last I remembered..." His old memories were slowly fading away to make way for new ones, and the only thing vivid he could remember at all was that of his traveling companions: Goku, Hkkai, and Gojyo.

He smiled almost cruelly at the other. “Oh, you certainly are a piece of work. ‘What’s a ulaya?’ and here I thought you were simply boring.” Clinking metal together he turned from Sanzo, “Well, I suggest you continue on that little journey of yours. Perhaps you can pick up those forgotten memories along the way.”

This time he did roll his eyes. Another personality quirk discovered. "Would if I could, but you know, I don't have to sit around here talking with the likes of you." He moved so that he was at a good distance from the other male. "I suppose that's what I am now, but you didn't have to answer." He talked carelessly as he inspected his scrolls. Still with him, were they? They were probably what was still linking him to his old memories... in a way, he was grateful. He turned his hard, violet gaze on the other male, finding himself both disturbed and annoyed. "You really are one of a kind. You should have left me alone when I told you to." He cautioned himself, observing the other. It was obvious this male ulaya was skilled.

He regarded Sanzo silently, brushing aside the side of himself that demanded a constant rush of adrenaline. “You honestly didn’t know you were a ulaya? Then what, pray tell, did you believe yourself to be?” Tilting his head up slightly he continued. “Or is it that, you simply have never been around other to know?” He grinned at the other comment, though it held none of the craze his previous ones had. “So I’ve been told, but I was never one to pass up bothering another.”

"I honestly didn't know I was a ulaya," he repeated with wry tone. "I believed myself some kind of animal. After all, I used to walk on two legs, not four." He was adapting quickly to his newer form, but it was still awkward moving around on four legs... earlier, he was laying down because he was tired from trying to move on four legs. "You're the first, if you're that curious," he added, his tone laced with sarcasm and truth. He eyed the other with a look that spoke of how he had obviously noticed what Gunzi did. "Apparently so," was his simple comment, frowning when he realized he would need help moving around in this new world he was stuck in. "...Damn," he muttered to himself.

“Glad you had such a wonderful first encounter with another ulaya,” Mirth rolled from every word. Eyeing Sanzo he took his first real look at the other. Purple eyes were hardened, and it was all to easy to recognize that glint they held – the same one he’d seen when he scaught a reflection of his own after a particularly bloody ‘hunt’. A grin slowly crept across his muzzle. Oh, he had truly run into something interesting indeed. “Well then pup, cant sit around here all day. Might as well use the extra feet while you’ve got ‘em.”

As annoying and stupid as the monkey! Though probably not as hungry-isque, he observed, and then scowled. Pup?! He shook his head, picking his way about carefully. Why was Gunzi following him again? "My wonderful encounter may well be my worst," he spoke flippantly. "I prefer to take my time, as opposed to those of you who tend to be overly active." And was he smiling? He had really gotten knocked into a strange world indeed... or perhaps it was because the first stranger he sees is a crazed stranger. Whatever, he no longer cared anymore. "What are you suggesting?" He asked as wryly as possible. "That I stand and dance my way around?" Sarcasm dripped heavily as his eyes met blue eyes that were just as hardened as his, possibly more so... possibly.

“… You must be popular with the ladies. I hear they tend to go for the arrogant broody type.” The words dripped from his mouth as Sanzo finished his little speech. “Didn’t know you danced Sanzo. If that’s what you’re most comfortable with be my guest. Though I was simply suggesting walking, your idea sounds much more fun.” Giving Sanzo a sidelong glance he shrugged, walking lazily in the opposite direction. Wasn’t his concern if the other got lost and he was sure another ulaya would find the blonde. Whether that would be a good or bad thing, that he couldn’t predict.

He refrained from saying a word as he stared the other down, knowing if he said something it would only result in an argument, and he was hardly in the mood for one of those. As Gunzi began to walk away, he sighed to himself as he let go of his hardened gaze. He fell on his back gently, throwing a furred paw against his face. Why and how did he get here again? He was tired, so tired. In a way, he would probably be able to find his peace here, after all. He somewhat missed the old days, where it was only him and his master before tragedy struck. Typical, typical. He hadn't wanted this position though he certainly had the talent. Feh...

Distancing himself a good ways from Sanzo he stretched tense muscles, keeping an eye on the speck that was Sanzo. As much as he wanted to his conscience didn’t allow him to completely leave. Didn’t know I still had one of those he thought sarcastically. Huffing slightly he glared towards the other. He could wait. Just until another came along. Just to make sure. He knew the curiosity would eat away at his mind if he didn’t at least see what would become of the other. Fool of a ulaya is what he is.

He lay there, listening to the soft, gentle sounds that were the birds and the insects, the wind and the grass. He hadn't had this kind of peace since had been a mere child... but no more. He wasn't a human anymore, and that probably meant he could also shed his duties, shed some of his pain. He removed his paw and stared up at the blue sky. It was chillier in this place; winter was come 'round. How long had he been lying here again? He closed his eyes, slowing drifting off to a light sleep. There was never a time when he was able to sleep deeply except for the time at the temple... after that, he had found Goku... and life just went from there...

Gunzis’ ear twitched in agitation. So goddamn boring. He sighed, rolling to the side, as if switching positions would cure him of his antsyness. Blue eyes slitted, glaring for all he was worth at the other. The stupid ulaya had gone and fallen asleep. Growling lowling in his throat Gunzi hopped to his feet making his way swiftly towards the blonde. “Get up.” He ground out, not much caring if Sanzo could hear him in his lightl slumber or not.

He opened one eye as he heard the footfalls of someone approaching him. There was also clanking sound, and he knew only one other--the only other--that could make such a sound. So he didn't quite leave, did he? When Gunzi growled at him to "get up," he didn't even twitch. The only thing Sanzo even remotely moved was his one eye that had already partially opened to open fully. "What do you want?" He asked in his usual careless way. "Thought you left to find something more interesting." He closed his eye again and tried to return to dozing, though it was difficult with another ulaya breathing down from above him the way Gunzi was.

Suppressing a growl of annoyance Gunzi bent to Sanzos’ level, close enough to almost touch noses. Blue eyes slitted into a glare, frustration slowly starting to eat away at him. Metal clicked together angrily and the thought of metallic claws piercing skin seemed far more satisfying than usual. “You’re one hella’va annoying b*****d.” He bit out. That’s fine - pausing a moment before deftly swiping the sutra draped across his shoulders - after all he could be damn obnoxious himself if he so chose.

He sat up and collided with Gunzi as he tried to grab his sutras back. "You idiot!!!" he tried to say, but he had frozen because he seemed to have somehow gotten a little too close to the other ulaya. "Back off, twit, and give those back to me!" He used a paw to smack it on Gunzi's face as he tried to take back his sutras without tearing the scrolls. Somewhat difficult, especially with the metallic claws that the other male equipped. "You're one hella'va annoying b*****d yourself!" he growled, narrowing his eyes. "What the hell do you think you're doing!?"
