"Yeah..." She chuckled as the room fell into an awkward silence.
"Um, you want to go to the kitchens?" She asked by way of breaking the uncomfortably still air.
"Like I said, they're getting ready for our next meal and I want to introduce you to some of my friends." She said, smiling still.

Njaria nodded, "Sounds like a plan," She said, grinning.
(Sorry I'm being so slow. ^^;; Been a busy week)

((No problem. Me too, finals.))
"Then let's go." Nari grinned enthusiastically. She was starving. Nari grabbed Njaria's hand and pulled her down the corridor.
((You post or I post in the kitchen?))

((Yipe. XD Sorry. I'll do it. *thwaps herself* Bad Kira. Must keep up with everything.))
Njaria blinked slightly before grinning at being pulled along. She'd never been lead before. She was always the one doing the leading, but eh, perhaps it was better to be passive from now and again. She let herself be dragged along for awhile until the kitchen was in sight.
"Race ya!" She exclaimed, breaking away and dashing ahead of Nari.

Rafaelle blinked, looking slowly around the seemingly empty candidate barracks. Shrugging, she grins to herself, wishing for someone to talk to. Dropping her packs down by an empty bed, she lays down on it, staring up at the ceiling. Feeling bored, she shuts her eyes slowly, and hums softly, a fast paced tune, catchy and cheerful. She smiles, and just keeps humming, taking no notice of who else might be in the barracks.

After a few minutes of humming, Rafaelle sits back up and reaches into her packs, pulling out a few books, some empty and some not, along with some quills (I'm not quite sure on this. . . did they use quills? charcoal?) Flipping open a book to an empty page, she loses herself in her writing, thinking of ways to write and different word combinations. Writing into the book, the soft scratch on the paper is barely audible.

Jahiro noticed immediately the sounds of another human. He had always been blessed with great hearing, and often put it to use. His head found his way to the wall, as he listened, ear pinned against the cold stone. Yes it had to be coming from the girls side, never-the-less there was life this time of day. A time usually reserved for chores.
He of course could do his work in the barracks. Sewing did not take a lot of room, and it seemed he was to be doing that until the end of his life. He had heard of the golden queen taking her flight, however forced himself to think on the worse side.
“Hello?” he asked, never would he dare to enter the girls side. “Is everything alright in there?”

Rafaelle pauses in her writing and humming as she hears the voice from the boys side of the barracks. Looking around, she thinks, then calls out hesitantly. "Yes? I'm here. . . Everything's fine, or at least I think it is," she said with a smile.

((I'm so sorry, I had forgotten I posted here))
Jahiro burst into a blust, quite grateful there was a wall he could hide behind. I’m such a jerk, he thought quickly to himself…Though I could use a friend…I think dragons like those who are more social… With that he quickly regained himself, his face slowly but surely fading back into it’s regular more whitish color.
“I heard voices…it was silly of me I’m sorry,” he said his voice still hinting his young age. “Why are you here? Don’t you have chores right now?” He did not mean to sound rude. “I…I mean I’m a pretty good stitcher, so they just have me sew up everything all the time. Is it the same for you?” He stopped closing his eyes, wishing he could sound older, and that others would take him more seriously as a candidate, and not as an apprentice.
Your not helping much, he quickly reminded himself.

Rafaelle grins to herself. "I'm ok at stitching, but not very good at it. . . I'm a Journeyman Healer, or I was until I got Searched. . . but I'm on a break right now, so I'm just relaxing. . ."
He sounds young, the sixteen-year-old thought to herself. Running a hand through her tangled black hair, she swings her feet to the stone floor, slipping them into some soft leather slippers. Shuffling to the door, she opens it and peers out.
((sorry about taking so long sweatdrop ))

*Heroe entered the barracks, her wounds were now nothing but scars well hidden underneith her harper blue tunic and pants. She clutched her sketch and lyric book tightly along with her flute pipes. She looked around at everyone and saw that they looked at her with unwelcome eyes. She swallowed a bit before going to the back of the room to one of the beds that were empty and began placing her things in the dresser beside it. She then took off her back and began putting her sleeping furs onto the bed. She fingered a smooth stone flute with a blue dragon carved into it and closed her eyes. It seemed to give her some hope. She then pulled it out and placed it into her side pouch and closed the flap. Also inside the pack was a large dagger that belonged to her father once, it was the color of blue with a green dragon carved into the handle. A very rare blade that she knew well how to use. She placed the pack next to her bed between the dresser and the bed itself. Hidden so no peering eyes and fingers could find it. Now that she was situated, she had to find the green rider that saved her again. She had wrote a song for her about her deed and she needed to be honored for it. Taking one more look around she slowly walked out of the room.

Orana stepped into the Barracks looking around. She had a bag slung to her side with acouple of her personal belongings. Malathan and Ithean flew beside her. Orana entered the room with the beds and sat down on one that seemed it didnt have anyone's belongings or anything. Good she thought to herself. as Malathan and Ithean sat down at the edge of the bed.
"How are you" she asked them smiling to get a chirp of happy reply. Orana nodded to them and smiled, She took out two pictures... one of her mother and father that died when she was so young and her Step father that she loved so much and had taught her he craft of smithing. On her belt she held a jewled dagger always sharp as she kept it. She smiled to herself and the Flits...

Audris walked into the barracks and strode to the end of the room were she saw an unoccupied bed. She pressed her hand on the rushe filled matress. The bed let out a gentle smell and it filled her nostrils with the musk familiar musk that brought memories of her home. She set her belongings next to the bed and took a long look around the room.
