Star opened her door just to almost knock over two people. "Oh my gosh. I'm sorry." Star said. She flashed a smile, cleary saying it was an accident.

Kiki was trying to make sense of the map, when she noticed that her footsteps seemed to be twice as loud as they were a few moments ago. She also was getting the weird feeling of being watched, although she didn't turn her head. It wasn't until she noticed a slight difference in the timing she put her feet down as opposed to the other set of feet....

Tap tap
tap tap....

She turned towards the source of the noise, and jumped out of surprise, her hat dropping to the floor. It was another student, judging by his age. She felt quite stupid; perhaps it wasn't like a horror movie scene after all. She almost missed his question due to her heartbeat racing. Wait...she was supposed to speak now, duh!

"S-sorry. Just sorta startled me there........heh, t-that's what I get for not paying attention." she stammered, giving a slight laugh as her face turned red. "I just arrived here not too long ago. I didn't think anyone else would be here this early." she added, noticing her hat was gone and seeing it on the ground. She picked it up and dusted it off as she awaited an answer.

But before haering one, she jumped yet again, as she dodged a girl who opened a door that was apparently beside them. "I-it's fine." Kiki answered quickly, seeing that by the look on the girl's face that it was a complete accident.

Alex nodded at her respone. "Well now I know I frighten the new people I meet." He said, nodding again as if confirming a fact. "Well let me introduce myself, Alexander Roberts, 16 years, and I will be your guide today if you do so permit me." e said right before the door opened. Sidestepping it he looked over the person who had opened it a few times before saying something. "Now problem, the school should really ake those open inwardly... Their fault I say."
PostPosted: Sat Dec 15, 2007 2:26 pm

"You don't frighten anyone!" she said quickly. "I-i just wasn't paying much attention to the surroundings...." she gave up on the rest of hte sentence as the boy introduced herself; he apparently knew the school well, as well as was kind. "That would be very nice; I do appreciate it." she answered Alex. "I'm Katherine, and I'm also 16. This is my first time here, as well as my first day. Hence the lost-ness." she added, then mentally slapped herself. Idiot! Lost-ness is NOT a word!

"My first day here too, though, I took the chance to memorize this place." He answered taking a slow-step forward, waiting for her to fall into step. "As for not frightening anyone, there goes my shot as a police interrogator.." He said in a not-so-sad voice, turning to her.

Kiki took the hint, and began to walk in the same rhythm as his footsteps. So this is what had happened before when he came up without me noticing, she thought to herself. "So, is a police interrogator what you want to be after high school?" she asked the boy curiously, trying to start conversation. While their feet were in step, the gentle sound of rolling against the floor from her suitcases followed behind them.

"No, no... twas a joke... so was the looking scary thing for that matter." He said sighing, he wasn't used to his jokes being taken literally. "After highschool I plan on being a writer." He said turning down one of the many hallways, lord this place was huge. He spoke in his typical-American accent, with a hint of New-Yorker. "Oc course, stand up comedian is always an option too.." He added, looking over to her.

"Meh, I'm just not used to talking to people alot, that's all." Kiki answered honestly. She rarely talked alot back in middle school, for she greatly feared of getting too attached to people. Especially after what happened to teh Flower Lady, as well as all of her foster siblings. She never saw any of them again, for two different reasons....

"A writer sounds nice. You get to put so much creativity into your work, as well as imagination." she commented.

"Well I do.. what about you? Probably not a telemarketer..." He said, noting about hwat she said on her social life. "People can be good to talk to, just look at me. I bet I could make you smile before classes begin." He said, going ahead a little before sidestepping and turning around, walking backwards directly in front of her.

Kiki did have to stiffle a giggle; Telemarketer wasn't one she had thought about, actually. "Hm, well, I'm not really sure what to do after school's over. I've always thought learning different languages were cool, as well as the Arts. But job-wise, I'm not too sure." she answered. She had been to a few plays in her life, and each one she found wonderful.

((if y'all want, there is a new section in the "Black List" post that tells everyone if there's a play to sign up for, or a position in a club open, or team tryouts...you get it.))

Star smiled at them again when they forgave her and moved on. Those are people I'm going to have to question later...maybe they could be cool enough to hang with me and Seig.. Star thought meerily to herself. Sure, the first day back from vacation always had her peppy and happy, but it wears off and she becomes regular, cool, Star again.

I wonder when Miss Nichols will get here... Star thought. She closed her door and went down the stairs, silvery purse clinging to her arm. She went down to the drama room, passing the people she almost wacked, and looked at the announcements board. There was a new Christmas play, and it was "Twas the Night Before Christmas: High School Version". Star quickly scribbled her name down, since whenever there was a play with "High School Version" beside it, that always meant that the students had imput, and it wasn't the regular play. It had modern twists and stuff.

After scrimbling here name down, Star went down to the dining hall, where there ws food layed out for a snack until 11:30 (it was 10AM), when they took it back and layed out lunch until 2PM. Then, another snack buffet starting at 3:30PM, ending at 5:30PM. At 6PM, they had supper until 8:45PM. Then, there was a little snack buffet for those who missed supper.

After grabbing an apple, Star started wandering around the school. She made it to the drama room, and went inside. Star loved it in here. It was big and empty. It had a room off of it, and that was the prop room in which all the props/materials/paint/costumes were. Star started walking around the room, her chunky high heels making a tiny noise as they hit the floor.

Lily dragged her suitcase while carrying the cage in to the small room where the office was located and walked over to the desk. "May I have my key please? Lily Milligan is the name." the receptionist seemed taken aback by her accent but handed over the keys. Lily went back to her bag and cage and hoisted the bag over her shoulder before climbing up the stairs while holding the cage. On her way she noticed a cork board with paper stuck all over it. 'PHOTOGRAPHY MEETING TODAY AT LUNCH ALL WELCOME.' was printed on a pink piece of paper. I might go to that... she thought as she continued to walk up the stairs but was stopped by another poster. 'SNOWBALL FIGHT TRYOUTS!' she nearly burst out laughing. Is that even a sport? Well grandma always wanted me to be more active and they don't have much snow in Australia so maybe this is a good opportunity... she reached the top of the stairs and plunked her bag down to start dragging it again. She didn't have to go far from the stairs to get to her room and shortly arrived to collapse on her bed. This feels like owning my own home... she smiled to herself at the freedom and got up to start unpacking but decided to go explore first. She opened the cage and coaxed Max out so that he was sitting on her palm. Shutting the little metal frame door she stood up and grabbed her keys to lock her room. Gently holding Max, she locked the door and started walking towards the stairs.

Kiki did have to stiffle a giggle; Telemarketer wasn't one she had thought about, actually. "Hm, well, I'm not really sure what to do after school's over. She had been to a few plays in her life, and each one she found wonderful.

Before the boy responded, they passed a hall that had a wall full of papers hanging up. As they were passing, she realized that they were numerous tryout sheets of all sorts of activities. There were two that caught her eye, and one in particular. One of them was a winter-colored paper for SnowBall Team Tryouts. While this caught her eye, the one next to it did even more; it was a Theateratrical Play Tryout Sign-up sheet. It was in beautiful gold and red colors, just like the curtains of the stage.

"S-sorry." she said quickly to her new friend; she didn't even realize that she had stopped infront of it until she noticed the absent of wheels rolling against the ground. She looked at them both; while the Snowball sport ahd one name upon it, the other one had none. She had already taken out a pen, as if not by her own force, but by her real soul within. She stared at the papers, pen in midair:

Cmon now. Best way to meet people is to give it a shot, right?

She sighed to herself, looking at the papers for a moment longer in silence. Finally, and with a semi-shaky hand, signed her name on them both. While the Snowball team would be grand, she was hoping more for the Play.

She walked towards the stairs and saw the two people standing at the posters board. "Hey!" she said as she came down the stairs. "You want some help with your bags?" she smiled warmly and stroked Max's fur.
