It's an opinion, and I'm willing to hear it, and acknowledge it. I was rather mean about it, mostly out of anger and exhaustion. But I seriously don't mind hearing it in a place where I can defend myself.

Ah, all right, well then I'll ask this. Does any one here feel that pro-life is nothing more then a bunch of fetus-loving women haters?

We only care about them?

Hmm, I was quite sure that we cared about oppressing women, too!

By caring about fetuses, we oppress women. Just by caring about fetuses.

Abusers! Why run the risk of breaking your hand on your wife's face, or spend money buying her flowers so she thinks you love her despite the bruises, when you can simply vote pro-life!

Women! Have you ever wanted to be oppressed? Sick of finding only nice guys who offer to do some of the housework? Do you refuse to vote because you wish you didn't have the right to? All you have to do is oppose abortion and it's like the Victorian Era all over again! biggrin

Ever seen star wars? It would be more like gathering up all the women and ovens in the world and tossing them into the Sarlacc pit. I even google'd Sarlacc to make sure I spelled it right

No, I'm pretty sure it would be more like Gor. Women live, but are absolutely subservient to men.

Or, more realistically, they will find a new definition of pain as they are slowly digested over a thousand years.

More like several years. The Sarlac is actually an intelligent creature...well...the pit of carcoon was, but thats because it was an exceptional case that managed to live for several hundred years. Most Sarlacs aren't even half the size it was.

Any ways, yeah, the Pit of Carcoon was actually intelligent. It learned to control its digestive acid, and could fill and empty diffrent chambers. It could store living victim in these cahmber while slowly digesting them, while at the same time, it had some how learned telepathy...Jedi and Sith alike who got their hand on the the information Imperials collected form Fett year's after he blew the thing to hell agree that it may have been even Force sensitive. While slowly digesting them, it created a telepathic link, distorting their mind's eyes, cloading it. There are supposedly past survivors...perhaps sand people who relaiied their tale, and the feeling of prolonged suffering could have ladder led to a legend of the one thousand years.

In short. it only feel like a long time. In actuality its only a few months to a few years.

That or I'm taking a quote directly from C-3P0. Now, would someone that a**l be wrong about such an obscure reference?

Yes. C390 was a human/cyborg relations interpreter, not an anthropologist. His programming was under standing the languages, histories, and lore of hundreds of thousands of cultures and species. And, in actuality, the words didn't come from him, they cam from Jabba, and all Threepeoh was doing was quoting him and translating Huttese.
