Kirsa thought about it for a moment. "Well, a body guard protects the person they are guarding! And makes sure nuffin bad happens to them! And they also chase away over-adoring fans." Kirsa puts her paw on her cheek and beams at the thought of having fans. She then hears the story being told by Eyulf. Once he finishes she gasps, "Oh! That was so romantic!" She sighs and winks at Vana.

Taking the paper and paint and setting it up to be designed into a flag, Maiya thought of various ideas for designs and patterns and possible symbols. She turned to Reni and asked, "So, any ideas?"
Eyulf smiled, happy that his story went over well. He was worried that he would be a bad storyteller. "A swan is a white bird with a long neck, and a black beak. I don't know too much about them, but I've heard they mate for life."

"I can do that!" he replied, listening to her description of a bodyguard and stifling a laugh at the over-adoring fans part. Upon hearing Kirsa's comment to the story Vana's ears started turning a little red, making him flick her lightly with his tail, "I suppose it was... Maybe we should put a swan on the flag...?"

Maiya smiled brightly at the idea of a swan being on the flag. She loved swans, and thought that they were really pretty birds. She looked at Reni, wondering what she thought of the idea.

Eidel tilted her head as she thought about a swam on the flag. "I'd have to see a swan...can you draw one Maiya or Reni? Or anyone..."

Maiya smiled and said, "Well, I don't really have a gift for writing, but I can draw alright. And I saw The Swan Princess just a few days ago, so I remember what they look like." She looked around and asked, "Is there any paint?"

Kirsa smiled at Vana, "Oh, a swan! That's such a good idea!" She snuggled up against him and then started prancing around happily chanting, "Aidan! Aidan! Get Maiya some paint!"

Aidan rolled his eyes at his impatient sister. "Geeze, calm down woman..." He calmly picked up the set of paints and brought them over to Maiya. "These are just basic colors...I can ask Mutti and Fatti for more colors if we need them." He held out the paints and waited for Maiya to take them.

Maiya carefully recieved the paints and set them up about a foot away from the paper so that there would be as little splatter as possible. Before beginning to paint with the colors, Maiya looked at the paper for a few moments to visualize how the swan would look. Then she carefully dipped her paw into the black paint so that it only got a small amount on it and carefully began to sketch the design her mind had made.
This process took some time, as she had to continuously get more paint while making sure she didn't get too much. Soon she was absorbed into her work, and had pretty much blocked out all outside stimuli. After a while she was done with the sketch and began to color it with similar meticulous motions. She finished with drawing a setting sun in the background and water effects to signifiy that the swan was swimming in a lake. Finally finished with her work, she sketched a circle around the scene so that a background design could be added.

Vana sat down again next to wherever Kirsa had stopped prancing and watched Maiya intently working on her picture, curious as to how it would turn out. "That's amazing," he said when she finished.

Smiling, Maiya replied, "Thank you! Mommy said that I'm really good at painting." Afterwards she began to scan the surroundings to find some water to wash off her paw. She loved paint, but not enough to have it be stuck on her paw all day long.

Kirsa watched in amazement as Maiya painted. When Maiya was done, she agreed with Vana, "Yeah! That's awesome! You should be famous!" She watched Maiya head over to wash her paws off and Kirsa gazed at the paints. She really wanted to try painting. She figured she might as well be as good as Maiya, maybe even better! She carefully walked over to the paints and dipped her paw in some bright green paint. It was wet and cold, and she immediately began to shake her paw, "Ewww...yuck!" She laughed as she splashed paint everywhere. Then she pranced over to Etain and smeared some right across his face. "For you brother! Merry Christmas!"

Vana laughed, tempted to dab his paw in the yellow paint and wish Kirsa a Merry Christmas too. "This wont turn into some bizzar version of a snowball fight will it?" he asked mainly to himself.

Maiya smiled with embarrassment. "Well, I don't know about famous..." she replied while she was washing her hands, "I mean, I'm sure there are a lot of other namrah that can draw as well as or better than I can." She watched as the other namrah began to play around with the paint with a look of puzzlement. That's not what paint is for...

Kirsa laughed along with Vana and bounded over to him. "Sure, why not!" She said as she then smeared paint across his face as well. She then noticed Maiya's puzzled look. "Come on Maiya, come play too! It's a...paint ball fight!" She chuckled at her genius combination of snowball and paint fight. She was quite proud of the fact that she had dirtied Etain and Vana, and she was still clean...other than her paws of course. She smiled and waved her paws in the air happily.
