I'm not exaclty looking forward to christmas, it's extremely rare that I get what I want and even rarer for me to be able to get people the gifts that I want to give them. I've applied fro jobs at 20 different places and no one has contacted me, WTF????
At this point, I'm just praying some kind of miricle happens, like me getting a job!

Well I hope you find A job this xmas, I wish I had a job but its kinda illegal untill august next year

sweatdrop I applied at woolworths, intending to work most of the christmas break, but then after I put it in I found out that they aren't doing any more training until next february crying
So... I guess I'll have to find somewhere else in a hurry. I mean- now's the only time I really have, because once school starts again I don't have enough time...

I mean, if I had a job, I could afford to get everyone nice presents!!

I'm guessing you're not old enough. I'm old enough, but I bet less qualified people will get the jobs I apllied for before I do, stuff like that ALWAYS happens to me.

This is my second Christmas out of work. I've had interviews but I always go really shy and totally mess them up. No wonder I'm suffering from depression!

Yeah, there's this thing that I've wanted to get my grandma for the past 2 year, it's a Gone with the Wind christmas ornament. I've never had enough money to get it for her.

If you get really shy in person, make sure you say all you want or need to in a really good resume. As my English 114 teacher has been telling us (a resume, cover letter & follow-up letter were an assignment), you have to sell yourself & show them all your most valuable qualities. Draw the reader's eye to the best points, like good training, dependability, etc.
And employers really DO want RELIABLE workers!

*hugs halft to death*

Hey, you'll get one eventually, just know what questions they are likely to ask and practice over!! I guess the best thing to do is relax, because then you're more yourself and less likely to make mistakes. Good luck!!! we'll both need some I guess... ... ... stupid jobs. 4laugh

*gasps for air after the force of Freaj's hug*

I've been asked to do some babysitting every so often now for people who live at the end of the road. Not sure how much I'll earn, but I met the kids last night and they seem pretty sweet. I love kids.

No idea when I'll get a full time job though...

*hugs Freaj back as hard as I can!*

Well, tonight I shall be watching David on Top Gear, tomorrow I shall be watching David on Who Do You Think You Are? and Doctor Who, and on the Day itself my grandad and uncle are coming over, and (with any luck) we shall be watching Voyage Of The Damned!

Lovely new word to describe the Tenth Doctor, courtesy of Caitlin Moran of The Times (who coined the phrase Timephwoard). He is a "Timefox"!
