Al-Hattal had spent his life paying close attention to the body language and tones of females. He could see her slip from non-commital, nearly disinterested, to genuinely interested. What had triggered the change he couldn't be sure, but the perked ears and smile were unmistakable. He supposed she could hace decided to feign interest, as he did from time to time, but why? He couldn't see any reason.
"So," he said amiably, standing to move a bit closer - only conversationally so, of course - "May I ask your name, Miss?"

A chuckle rippled out as the red lioness shifted and rocked forward one slow step at a time, standing closer than casual interest dictated. Her gaze as earnest and focused, and to someone expierienced to see it, held obvious intent.
Stretching muscles she'd never really used, Kiuma struggled to put on her best 'flirting' face. "Kiuma." She murmured. "Its a pleasure to make your aquaintance. Especially as I don't think I've ever met a male as agreeable as you." She chuckled softly.
Reaching up with a velvet paw, she ran a few strands of his mane over her pads, blinking at the soft texture. She couldn't help compairing it with the only two males she'd really known, but he lost nothing in her view for it.

Oh, good God! Could it really be? A flirtatious female? One he might not have to spend untold amounts of time trying to woo? Oh, please! Keeping such excitement and fervent hope carefully contained so that he could maintain his cool charm, he rumbled pleasantly, "Likewise, my lady."
"You must have had a poor sampling, if I'm the most agreeable you've met." Al-Ha was careful to answer the compliment with a mix of humility and humor - arrogance wasn't usually appealing. "Still...I can't honestly say I'm sorry, if it does make me the most agreeable."

Dropping her paw, the red lioness let her eyes widen, showing their ruby color to best advantage. He didn't seem to be against her forwardness, which was all to the good, if she was able to get what she wanted from him. A few hours, nothing more... Baala wouldn't miss her, and she would be able to offer her a wonderful suprise. It seemed that things were working in Kiuma's favor, and she scented victory almost within her grasp.
"Oh, you are. The males in my past were nothing but weaklings and brutes, and from what I've seen, you are neither... I don't suppose you'd care to... show me how a real gentleman treats a lady?" A coy smile curled over her face, and she let the pads of her paw brush over the dried mud at the edge of the watering hole.
At least he was handsome, and seemed to be fairly intelligent...

Weaklings and brutes, hmm? Al-Hattal was neither, and very glad to be the happy medium he was. It tended to attract a wider variety of females when you were likeable.
Kiuma had him now, quite firmly - for the next few hours, at least. This certainly made up for his utter failure the other day. So, brown lionesses quite forgotten in favor of red ones, he purred obligingly, "My lady, it would be a pleasure.."
