Finally calming down, Shizuka took a deep breath. It was now or never; he knew that Zaicate was tired, angry, and irritated with him--but he didn't need her to see the wounds he'd received from Rahu, either; she'd go on a rampage cursing about how she'd kill the old guy, and he didn't need her to do that while pregnant! "Zaicate, let's go home, love; we have a lot talk about, don't we?" he urged. He wanted her to rest and calm down as they talked, because if she was stressing that would be bad.
He reviewed his memories as he guided his mate along, trying not to completely cover her over, knowing she'd kick his @$$ if he so much as tried to do everything for her--he figured that she wasn't helpless, just pregnant. Mares were vicious creatures during the time they were pregnant; he knew that very well... His mother had told him many a nightmare-ish story about those times!

He couldn't help but to sigh contentedly; sure, the personalities of his kids might be awkward (well, then again, it was probably a family tradition; who'd've figured?), but that was for the future. For now, he had to prepare himself to reveal all the secrets of the mere few days he had gone away. His meeting with his master, Windflame Bloodrider, his fight with his father, Rahu, which he had lost (he was still mad about that), and... other stories of his flirtatious meetings with other mares he was sure Zaicate was curious to know.
All in all, he supposed it didn't matter; there were no secrets between him and his mate... right? His mother was never one to keep secrets from his father unless it was better that it remained that way; in fact, Shizuka knew a few secrets he knew Rahu didn't know... "I love you, Zaicate... so very much," he whispered against his mate's ear.

Zaicate frowns as she narrows her eyes at Shizuka suspiciously, not sure if she should finally relax since she have been suffering for awhile with this swollen stomach while Shizuka was off doing who knows what. "Just take me home, Shizuka. I am not done yelling at you yet." The mare grumbles as she allows him guide her home. Zaicate would occasionally shoot her mate a venomous glare whenever she felt he is being overbearing here and there with a soft mutter of "back off little bit."
The pregnant mare emits a relieved sigh as they arrived at the mouth of their 'den' and she glances at Shizuka. "Start filling me on what have been happening and Do. Not. Skim. On. Any. Details." The mare glares half-heartedly at her mate, slowly starting to give up the battle she had with herself to stay pissed off at Shizuka. A smile twitches at her muzzle as Shizuka whispered those words to her and she looks up at him, her anger and frustration dissolving away. "I love you too, Shizuka." She softly says as she gives him a kiss on cheek. "now get me berries before those babies decide to eat me up" She grunts as she disappears into the den, not letting Shizuka get any word in at all.
