He raised a brow, peeking at her through a lock of mane that had fallen over his eye. He really needed it re-braided. "I suppose I've been told once or twice my eyes are a little odd." he agreed. "But then again, I could say the same thing about yours. I was born with my eyes this way." he shrugged slightly. "Inherited from my mother, if I recall. My brother has the same thing." he gave a little shrug. "It's all in how you see it, I suppose. No pun intended."
He broke out in an impish grin. "And well, I suppose it depends on how much of a gentleman he is, if it's too late. If the lady wishes, it's the gentleman's duty to agree, you see. And you're probably right- there may be better ways, but I bet they aren't half as fun."

"I don't find my eyes so odd, and they're from my mother as well. Then again, I suppose it's in the eye of the beholder. Just as with you, no pun intended, of course." She laughed and turned to look up at the sky, "I wouldn't know if they were half as fun or not, seeing as I've never partaken in such activities and don't plan on doing so any time soon. It's not proper for a lady to dally before matehood."
Khalon, of course, would kill her. Or him. Or...Well, he'd probably go on a rampage and not care who he was killing. The thought amused her.

He couldn't stop the small laugh that fell from his mouth. "Well, you do have very pretty eyes. Even if they are rather strange." Kishi stretched leisurely, thoughts moving to focus on the other part of her statement. "And of course. Matehood." he nodded sagely, peeking at her out of the corner of his eye. "I suppose it's... proper... to wait for that. Myself, I've never been very proper."
Silver eyes gleamed wickedly at her. "I don't put much stock in propriety. It's so hard to find around here."

"Perhaps you're not looking in the right places," Resonance said with a c**k of her head, loose strands of her light hair falling over her face again, much to her displeasure. She made no move to brush them away, though, as it would ruin the effect, "But I do agree, it's difficult to find those who hold the proper values."
The mare smirked, "I suppose it isn't the most fun route, is it? Propriety, I mean. I grew up with a regal mother and an honorbound father. It's something that's expected of me."

"I know a bit about honor, and i know it's mostly more trouble than it's worth. Hell, the most honorable stallion I know chafes under it." Kishi's head cocked, and then he shifted, giving a small grin. "Miss Resonance, would you do me the honor, perhaps, of a walk?"
There was a bit of a dare in his tone. "The unexpected, Resonance. It's so much more fulfilling, and so much more relaxing. Like a good cool breeze after a long day. Free to do what you will."

"My father seems to do well," she said with a small shrug, "And I'm fine with my own honor, so perhaps your friend...was not made for the weight. There are those Soquili who can handle the pressure, and those who cannot. I happen to be one of those who can." but not all the time. Resonance added silently to herself.
"A walk would be most pleasing, Kishi. Perhaps you can tell me more of those freedoms you enjoy. First, however, I need to find some way to get my hair from blinding me." Without the twoleggers to braid it...Sigh.

There was a derisive snort from Kishi's direction, one that couldn't -technically- be proven came from him as he was carefully hidden behind his hair. "Hon- Resonance, I am quite sure you can. Which might be why you cling to it so hard, hmm? Afraid if you let it down, you'll never be able to pick it back up?"
The stallion moved over to a nearby plant, ripping it from the ground neatly. "No allergies, I hope?" He moved closer to her, and bent down a bit. "Maybe a pretty flower in your mane will help hold it back." his voice dropped a bit, as he was nearer to her- didn't need to speak as loud.

An amused smile crossed over her face when he had to correct himself with giving her no pet names, though what came after made her purse them as well as a horse possibly could, "I certainly would be able to," she answered in clipped tones. How dare he insinuate that she wouldn't be able to do something so simple! "I happen to like holding that honor."
Though times like now she did wish she could let it go. "No allergies," she answered, though her voice was anything but pleased with him - not even the flower being put in her hair was making her smile. Bad Kishi! And he was doing so well.

"Really." he looked bemused, looking her over. She certainly didn't look happy, though it could have had something to do with the fact he'd called her on her 'honor'. But then, she hadn't looked too much happy to begin with. Sort of still, and sore. Like she'd gotten a stick in her... hoof.
"Good." he slid the flower in behind her ear, tapping her horn with his own. "I'd hate to accidentally kill you."

"Really." was her confirmation, stepping back once the flower was placed and the strands of hair that had been plaguing her were kept back. Her eyes shifted to the side in an attempt to see, and when that failed, she just pretended that she had seen it so she didn't look like an idiot.
"Very nice. Thank you. And I'm sure you wouldn't want to kill me. I'm wonderful company, and a beautiful sight." Smirk.

"You're welcome." Kishi stepped back, careful not to comment any further. Discussion of death would just down the mood even further, really. "So, if you were to take a walk with me, Resonance, any special requests on where to go?" his voice was light, carefully neutral.

"No real preference," she answered, turning her head to look around, "There's a pretty pond somewhere close, I think. I used to chase butterflies there when I was a filly. It was quite nice, if I remember right, and at night the fireflies are attracted to the plants around it." It was actually her favorite place. Hadn't been there for some time.
But tonight was a night to go back to being the carefree child she had once been, hadn't it? Wasn't that the point? Wasn't that why her hair was down and why she'd been dancing? Then Kishi had to show up and put her back into adulthood. Why?

"Well then. Let's head to the pond." he moved forward, only a few steps. "I'm afraid I don't know the way, so I can only hope you'd be so kind as to lead me the right direction." He gave her a slow, crooked smile. He'd been looking for a fun time tonight, and it seemed that he would be getting one after all, though in the form of conversation and company, not in the way which he had originally intended to enjoy his evening. But it worked out- she was... interesting. He wasn't certain he could forsee any great comraderie, by any means... but still... it could be fun.

"No, I'm going to make you find it yourself and get lost," Resonance said cheerfully before she began to walk in the direction she remembered the pond to be, the moonlight following her horn to offer a slight beacon to follow lest her colors become hard to see in the dark as they moved from clearing to forest.
"Now, are you going to tell me about yourself or am I going to be left in the dark?" Of course she wouldn't offer the same privilege of knowing about her, but that was beside the point right now.

"Sorry my lovely miss. But I introduced myself. I can't keep going first, that's just not fair." Kishi gave her a cheerful grin, sliding into step beside her. Her hair sure did look like stardust... and her horn was just as pretty a glowy silver as you'd ever see. "You're a real night mare, you know?" he was musing aloud, staring at her. She just blended right into the night.
