OMG OMG OMG!!!

When I was 6 I went to another country, I'm not saying which, because you guys then will know too much about me.

ANYWAYS!! We went to a fair, and we won the most pretty little chicks, they were blue, and red, and green, and orange. We though it was THE most amazing thing... and then we brought them back to my cousins house... they were dead within the hour... emo

WHO THE HELL SPRAY PAINTS CHICKS?!?!?!?!?!?!

It was kinda weird, cuz there was a box full of chicks and I was all "You guys, why aren't they eating the food?" and then my mom was all "OH MY GOD!!" and grabbed me and then told me they had to return the chicks... emo

Just a fun little story about the drama that is Buzz's life. xd

I have that size tank, with a Betta and two African Dwarf Frogs. Yeah if you have a local fish specialty pet store, I'd pay the extra for healthy, likely to live, fish. :3 Sorry for the loss of the two little swimmers man.

That's alright. I didn't even have time to name them so I wasn't quite attached yet. I'm just glad my Black Moore and goldfish are still alive. I love them so much, they always swim up to the tank and freak out when they see me. =3

Beta's are so pretty, but I'd hate to get one and put it in a tiny bitty tank. They always seem so sad in those things.

I was wondering how many people had fish because I was thinking about setting up a fish-owners thread here.

DID SOMEONE SAY FISH

>.>

That fails about the fish... but then again, it was walmart. I get my fish from the reptile / fish store near my house, and like some other people have said, you still have to be really careful. I can't say how many fish I've taken back because even after a week of checking in on them at the store they started scratching themselves on the rocks or something, and I have no hospital tank since my dad decided he wanted his own aquarium >.>

Well... I just hope that walmart doesn't start selling lionfish anytime soon

They're the TRUE sniper fish >.> (except for damsels, since my first saltwater fish were blue devil damsels and the bigger ones ate the other one's fins off)

Well we're planning on getting a 14gallon after Christmas and moving them there with more plants and hidey holes, and a few new fish as well.

I used to have a fish.

That was AGES AGO.

It died.

I suck with fish. Cats = Longer lasting. XD
They don't die on the way home. And you can touch them.

I have a cat too. Unfortunately, he lives many miles away and the only pets we are allowed to have in the dorms are fish. So right now fish = love. =3

••♥♥••
Toastie had a fish once.
biggrin
It was a pretty little betta fish. Her name was betty. Betty the Betta.
ninja
One day she stopped eating her flakes, so i stared at the tank and she wasn't floating at the top. She was right side up, and it looked like she was breathing.

...
So i left her... and she stayed like that for about two weeks...
and i wondered why she kept smelling worse and worse.
...

So my mom cleaned the tank she was in later in the month, and was all "OMG BREKK! YOUR FISH IS DEAD" and i was all "...what?" and she was all "..how long has it been like that? When i went to take it out of the tank, it fell apart it was so rotten."
...

and i was all "...oops?"
crying
poor Betty.

ninja For the benefit of Mr. Kite...

o___o;;
I would bring them back and be like "WTF!?!111!!?!"
I'm sorry about all your sad fish stories, guys...
Toastie's made me ********, though. xD
emo
Sorry Toastie...

My fish died the same week as my cat.
The romantic part of me thinks he/she/it missed her (my cat) too much.
Oh, and I'm not a crazy animal thinker for that -- the fish was freaking ten years old. It seriously wouldn't die!
^^;;

User ImageI once tried to breed guppies, but every female guppy I bought died. Due to PetsMart's guarantee, we could always freeze the body and then bring it back to exchange for a live fish.

After around the sixth one, though, my mom said she was tired of having dead fish in her freezer, so I wasn't allowed to try to breed guppies any more. xD

Okay, so Kitty had a Goldfish that lived to be 11 years old. Its name was Bob-bob-bob. One day when Kitty's family decided to go to church, Bob-bob-bob decided that it didn't need water and jumped out of the tank onto the kitchen floor. When we got back from church, it took us over an hour to realize that our dog was sniffing a certain place on the floor. We moved the dog away (harder than it sounds), and saw Bob-bob-bob laying on the floor dried up. Kitty's dad decided to put Bob-bob-bob back in the water for some reason, and lo and behold Bob-bob-bob started swimming around again as if nothing had happened the second we put it back in the water. And we were all "WTF miracle fish?!?!?!"

I wonder how long a fish can live out of water before it dies... o.o
