Hands tucked in his pockets Alex walked right from the bar, passing a couple tables before he slowed and picked one. It wasn't secluded to the back of the cafe but it wasn't in the front either. More like off to the side and little more private than some.

Nik followed, and without much thought sat with him, shifting to be a bit more independant of the other, yet cclose. He shivered a bit. He didn't want to speak for the moment, so he didn't. Instead, he just watched Alex.

Scooting his chair closer to the table, Alex cast his eyes down and broke the silence while outlining something or another on a spare napkin with a fingertip. "So, why live in that house if you have an indefinite hatred of women ?"

"Stay there or get ripped into tiny little shreds. Not much of an option. I'm pretty much a prisoner." He sighed, and rubbed his forhead. "You have no idea what that house can do."

Alex lifted a brow and coughed not sure if Nik was joking or not. He'd cover the first part later. "What the house can do? It's a stationery display of architecture.."
From the corner of his eye, Alex could see the bar clearly, and the progress of the drink order. A collection of smaller plates, spoons, sugar, and other odds and ends already scattered across a tray.

"Oh no, it can do more than just sit there. Let's just say I was violated." He shivered again, and looked up to the other, his eyes settling on the other's squaring off with the other eyes.

It was probably good timing that the a slightly nervous waitress scurried over to the table right then. Her arrival hushing Alex before he could make a comment. Beaming with coffee house peppiness the petite young women set a cup of tea near Nik and a similar cup next to Alex then hurried off to another table.
Alex chucked lightly watching her go. "I don't think I've found the dungeon yet. Who has the title of warden?"

"A PMSing elevator." He sighed, and shifted to fix up his tea with just a bit of sugar in it, stirring it gently. He tapped his foot in an almost nervous manner.

"Oh?" He smirked. Ripping open a little sugar packet Alex watched the tiny granules disappear into the almost black liquid with a sigh before adding a little cream. "What exactly does the elevator have against you?"

I didn't snuggle with it." He sighed, and bit his lip, then looked down to his tea. Slowly, he pulled it to his lips and sipped at it. "You're nice." It was a random though, though he smiled.

Between the elevator comment and the one directed at himself Alex was a wee bit caught of guard. I mean come on, the elevator violates people for not snuggling? o.O "Thanks.." I think. Bringing the cup to his lips he slowly drank while thinking the bar might have been a better bet. If the conversation kept going in the current direction, Alex was going to need a drink or two.

He seemed to strew off into a tangent over the tee, muttering something as he sipped at the liquid. After a moment, he looked up. "Are you gonna be there for a while?"

"It really isn't up to me.. " Setting the cup down, Alex ran a hand through his hair. "Depends on a few things, but I won't be leaving real soon if I do. I'm taking by the elevator description, you won't be going anywhere?"

Nik nodded and spoke in a shy, almost weak tone of voice. Something was odd about him lately. "Yea... it gets kinda lonely. Those two are always doing... things," he shuddered, "And I don't speak with my dad."

Alex twitched.. didn't want or need to know what fell under the category of 'things'. Smiling, he tried to put Nik at ease, having a feeling that the questions could have been causing some of the tenson. "Who all lives there?"
