"What that proovesyour father is not worthy of the name, and what that prooves is that you have your mothers weakness, and your fathers too." She sneered at him and spat at the ground near his hooves. She wanted to teach him a lesson, clearly the one she had already inflicted on his nose was waring off.
She circled around him, knowing well enough his eyes where upon her. Like a cat she sprang into motion and rushed around to the side swiping her tail the length of his body in a powerful blow hoping to hit him as she rounded and faced him again."Lets dance, lets see how worthy you are of your blood!"

Once more Hayagriva managed to avoid the blow enough to not take the full force but not quite enough to avoid entirely. The pain of it made him grunt but the indignity made him lash back. He didn't bother to respond to the mental barb. She would probably be expecting him to reply before he attacked. That wasn't the reason for the suddenness, however. The reason was that he couldn't take it anymore... couldn't take the taste of blood and the anger building up behind the gray eyes that he had inherited from his kalona father.
He raised his tail high and lashed it downwards towards the folded wings on her back. It was time to see whether they were as strong as she would lead him to believe.

Domnu laughed as she felt her tail make contact against his side, a thudding blow but he moved and avoided the full brunt force. The dance of battle was a wonderful thing, she smiled and laughed enjoying the feeling of the blood rushing through her veins, the smell of sweat and blood in the cool winter air. The feeling she got was light a sudden rush, a rush she experianced all too rarely.
He moved quicker than she expected and his tail landed thickly on her back. Her wing tore free by the unexpected blow, like a limp noodle. She let out a started gasp and spun to round back on him. Her wing was intact but his blod stung badly, a small tear in the thin membrane began to bleed against her side as she tucked her wing more firmly against her side. "So... you have some prowess after all." she commented while fluidly raising up on her hind legs, dangerous cloven hooves slashing towards him.

Hayagriva's pride at landing a blow was short-lived. He saw her raising up on her hind legs and even through his haze of anger he realized that this had gone too far. He shouldn't have risen to the fight. He should have found a way to back down peacefully. Now all he could do was run and hope to keep his hide intact, even if not his pride.
No! It was too late to back down. He had to do what he could to finish this, even if it meant taking a more serious injury. Instead of jumping backwards he hurled himself forward, head low like a ram and aimed for the kalona's stomach. Maybe, just maybe, he could catch her in her moment of imbalance.
And maybe the hooves that he felt raking down his back and side wouldn't kill him first....

His head pounded in against her like a steam roller, ribs groaned under the pressure and air escaped her lungs leaving her gasping for breath. She snorted loudly and turned to face him as her hooves again found solid ground. Oddly enough she was smiling, a dark smile, the kind that can send shivers into a clean soul.
She smiled through the pain, found elation in its touch. The caress of a love, a lust, a deep seeded desire. Her tail lashed against the ground the the raspy breathing of a dragon the in the darkness. "You do have a back bone after all." she mused, speaking to herself more than him. Locking eyecontact, gray eyes and crimson meeting in the iny blackness even as she continued to circle around him once more. "You might be of some use."

Some use? Hayagriva threw his head back and flung blood off in droplets. All this and she said he could be of use... to her? The twin scratches on his nose matched the twin gashes across his back and down his side. They hadn't gone deep enough to be life-threatening but they were vastly painful and dripping blood onto the ground. His breath came out in hisses and he glared at Domnu through matted forelocks.
"The only way I'd ever let myself be useful to you is by kicking some sense into your head." He stomped a red hoof into the ground for emphasis. The anger was still coursing through him. If she thought that she could scratch him up then expect favors she had the wrong idea.

Oh good that had struck a nerve, which was exactly her intention. After all when one flies into a blind rage they are much more easily dispatched in battle, missing a key counter move or rushing forward into certain doom. She sneered at him. "I doubt you could, even though I know you want to." she continuted to stalk closer to him, circling closer to her desired prey.
"You say not all Kalona can be bad, Not all of us are evil. There in you are wrong... when was the last time you saw your father boy? Do you have a happy family in a meadow with your mother and father caring over you, or did he use your mother and vanish at the very mention of foals leaving her broken and alone?"

((Sorry for taking so long on the response... sad stuff happened IRL and I didn't have the will to RP for a while there.... ))
Domnu had wanted to upset and anger Haya and that was exactly the response that she got. He was ready to give a fierce retort to her first statement but the second froze him still. He'd never met his father. She was right about that. It had just been him and his mother, all alone.... but she had seemed fine. He had caught her having some moments where she might not have been happy... where something seemed to be nagging at the back of her mind... looks of regret, of sadness, of pain. Even through that... even though his father had been what he was and Haya was the product of that...
"SHE WAS FINE!" The words tore from his throat and he gasped for breath when they were gone. Shouting the words didn't make him feel any better. If anything, they left him empty. Achingly empty.

(( Sorry it took me so long, My muse kinda died on me @_@ ))
Domnu smiled as she watched the ghosts of his past slide across his features as the moon hid behind the clouds. So his father had remained true to his kind in that nature. He had used her and left her with child, the welp was lucky the stallion hadnt stuck around for her might naught have even been born.
Her tail flicked and a deep growl rattled through the air, her chest puffed up a little as she circled him. Her voice was as cold as ice and dripping with malice, she knew she hurt him and she drove the nail home. "She was fine? Yes I bet she was until your father used her and tossed her away. Got what he wanted and left, leaving your mother with a b*****d child! A b*****d child she can hardly leave out in the world alone, you are a burden! Unwanted! Unloved! Your own father never wanted you, only used your mother for his own personal gain, chewing her up and spitting her out after he got what he wanted. And I bet your mother cant even look at you very long...because you remind her of him! Every time she sees you her heart fills with pain. "

((No problem... it's been a busy few weeks for me, too... ^^ ))
Haya's head was drooping under the weight of his emotions but he still shook it fiercely when the kalona was finished speaking. If nothing else, he knew that his mother loved him. She had always made sure that he knew that. She had loved him dearly and he had left her as soon as he could. Now when he thought of it he was filled with guilt for leaving her behind, just like his father.
"Every time she looks at me," his voice grated out through teeth clenched tight. "She remembers that something good can come from something not. Maybe..." He raised his head and glared at her with renewed vigor. "Maybe if you remembered that then you wouldn't be out here alone! I have a mother who loves me to return to. Who do you have?" He put as much strength as he could into his voice and it boomed out with only a hint of unsteadiness.

Domnu laughed, her cold cruel voice bouncing off the walls and before it was drowned out by the rushing water of the waterfall. She shook her head, glaring at him as he glared at her. Her crimson eyes narrowed at him and glinted in the darkness with hate. "Your words are rushed and foolish. I come from a very long line of proud Kalona. My Mother taught me well to the ways of the world and I have a large family. " Family didnt matter, but she put the words simply so that his tiny brain might comprehend what she was saying.
Her tail flicked and she rushed forward, she was done with talking. He was taking up much more of her time than she deemed him worth and she wanted to go back to her blissful solitude. He had invaded her home and it was time for him to depart one way or another. She uttered not a word, simply rushing forward in a seemingly unprovoked blurr, lowering her head at the last moment and slicing upwards with her horns.

Haya had been too caught up in their conversation to be on guard for another attack. In the instant that he saw Domnu beginning her charge his mind seemed to freeze. He was already hurt both physically and emotionally and the kalona seemed to have no end to either. Part of him screamed for him to just turn and run, run far and fast through the thick trees so that she couldn't fly after him.
It was the other part of him that won out. It was the part of him that screamed for payback, a scream that tore out of his own throat. He swung himself out of the way barely in time to avoid being skewered and through his haze barely felt when her horns raked through skin and flesh. He used his momentum to keep swinging his tail around, towards her back and her delicate wing joints. He had had enough of all this but somehow... somehow he couldn't stop himself.

Domnu wanted the invader of her home to leave, and she couldnt understand why he felt the need to stay even after personal arm had been done. She glowered at him and grunted as she felt her horns glance off his flesh as he skidded to the side. Pain shot through her back, red hot pain that caused her to spin around and face him. Thick sticky blood poured from the gash on her back and fuled her rage even more.
"Leave my valley!" she screamed at him, voice no longer cold but intence with fury and wrath. She would pull no more punches, there would be no more play. She would kill him or he would leave.

It was the unveiled emotion in those eyes that brought back Haya from his own rage. That was right. He was the one who had ventured into her home. He had stayed and fought her... hurt her. He didn't have the time to keep continuing on that train of thought though, not right now while she was screaming at him with death in her eyes.
He didn't have time to think through anything. It was fight or flight now just as it had been their entire encounter. Fight or flight. Blood oozed steadily from his injuries and he didn't know if his tail was up for another strike. That and... the other kalona's hatred had already ignited too much of the same within himself. He had to get away before he was hurt any more... could hurt her anymore.
Without another word he turned and ran. Even in the darkness he flung himself headlong into the forest, trying to go for the most twisted routes that he hoped she wouldn't follow. He didn't look back. He didn't want to. He didn't want to look over his shoulder to see her there, ruby red against the black of night. How could he have known what his restlessness that night would bring?
And what would he do now that he had found out?
