"I'll make a note of that." Chuckling yet again, Guilian shifted slightly so that he was in a more comfortable reclining position, draping a wing over Neve's body as she settled against him. Perhaps it was an old fatherly instinct, the desire to comfort, or perhaps it was a subconscious reaction to the hints of tiredness that had crept into her speech. Either way, he was perfectly willing to accomodate.
Tilting his head sideways so that his cheek was resting against Neve's forehead, Guilian found himself smiling at the almost wistful tone in her voice as she mentioned him meeting her Marius. Such a brave mare...and such a brave stallion, for that matter, to be willing to face another parent after what had happened previously. Still, if he had anything to say about it, Izusa would be an isolated event.
"Nevelet, I would be delighted to meet your companion. He is important to you, therefore it makes sense that he is someone I would approve of, yes? And even if I didn't, you're the one that has to deal with him, not me."

Feathers over feathers. It was almost like a warm quilt had been lain on her side. If they didn't move, she knew she would eventually fall asleep, and probably into the first decent one since her last meeting with her mother. Marius was her companion, but there was still something that had not allowed to yet feel completely secure with him. But with Guilian..she was once more a little filly, Daddy's girl and she felt that safety with him.
'Yes,' she said, blinking through heavy lids.
'I want you to like him. He isn't like you, he isn't as open..' she stifled a yawn, her jaw clicking slightly.
'But he tried to protect me, he looked after me when I was wounded. There is something there..' Neve's head nodded a little.

"Well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it, Neve. For now, the important thing is that YOU like him." And in the end, parental approval or friend approval mattered much less than the feelings of the involved individuals. He'd have time to meet this Marius, at some point.
But that day could wait.
