Lor blinked at the amount he said. Her friend had said 2000 gold… oh how she was going to murder that woman. "Oh, here it is!" She smiled up to the man as she pulled out her leather wallet. Her hand shook lightly as she ran her fingers over the top of the anorexic bag. Maybe I could just say I forgot the money, she thought frantically. This was her bus fare home and lunch money mostly since that darn sister of hers had been out of contact since… since … since that time—and probably refuses to send her anything except money for college and rent. She quickly snatched the gold from her bag and handed it over to the man, biting her lips lightly. She recovered with a stiff smile. "I'll pay now. It would be a trouble for both of us if I delayed the fee. Thanks for the offer though."
She moved to grab her laptop and tucked it safely in her carrier. Vaguely she wondered who she could call to free-load off of. "Don't force your smile," she said suddenly. "You look nicer when you don't."

Raising an eyebrow in curiosity at the girl's oddly nervous behavior over the money total, he wondered if the hacker fee was too much. Half unwillingly accepting the gold proferred to him, Fiach notes her stiff behavior, and finds himself curious as to what's bothering her. Her attitude had changed suddenly, at the mention of the amount, and realization slowly dawned on Fiach as he glanced around the shop, "Ah, do you...have a way home?"
Stiffening as he realized how awkward and creepy that might sound, a small blush touches his cheeks and he tries to desperately recover as she suddenly comments on his smile. The blush deepens as he blinks a few times in surprise, finally managing a strangled, "Th...thanks...I think...?"
Comparing Lorrie to his sister, Fiach mournfully concluded he would like never understand women. Especially not ones who changed their attitude at the drop of a hat.

"It's a compliment," She reassured him noticing his hesitant tone and the faint blush reddening his face. She touched her own face with her cold hands and assumed he felt the warm of the store as well. It was so much warmer underneath a roof than outside mostly when she couldn't stand the cold even if her life depended on it.
"Oh yes, I have the means of the slab of concrete more formally known as the sidewalk and a nice pair of boots," She smiled softly hoping she didn't sound too sarcastic yet at the same time not really caring if she did or not. It was just who she was. She grabbed a small slip of paper with her apartment address protruding from her wallet before tucking the leather thing inside her bag. Frowning, she realized she had no idea how to get to her apartment without the bus. Darn her for falling asleep on the ride here.
Out of habit, she bit her lip before looking at him, slightly annoyed at her for needing to bother him again. "One quick question: Do you know where this is?" She handed over the address of her apartment building. If she approximated correctly, the bus ride had taking a little over 20 minutes which means walking would take… over half an hour for sure. Vaguely she hoped it wasn't raining or windy, those two things drive her insane.

Breathing a small sigh of relief as the girl seemed to not notice his embarrassment for what it was, he winced slightly at the girl's lengthy way of saying she had to walk home. Frowning for a moment before taking a look at the paper she handed him, he gave a quick nod.
"...perhaps it would be best if I just give you your bus fare back?" It looked as if it would be a lengthy walk from the store to the apartment, and the weather in winter was unpredictable at best. He'd rather the girl take a cab or a bus, than walk home when the air was cool. Besides, he was beginning to feel guilty for having taken her money in the first place, when she'd been so hesitant to open her wallet.

"Oh gosh, no!" She shook her head quickly at his suggestion. Lor had to admit his offer gave her a strange sensation of shock partly because even her own family could be stingy with gold and payments and everything of the sort. "As long as you're able to give me some sort of direction, I'll be fine."
Part of her wanted to just snatch the paper and run out the door to save her from further embarrassment. However, her more rational part had decided against that crazy idea. She could only imagine how idiotic she must appear, not even knowing where her own apartment was located. She bit her lip again.

Slightly surprised the offer had been refused, Fiach's eyes glanced outdoors before he finally tossed his arms up in surrender. Sighing as he got out a piece of paper and a pen, he jotted out a quick map for the girl to follow. Handing it, and the original sheet with the address on it, to Lorrie, he smiled softly, "Please, be careful on your walk home."

((-blink- Oh. >< -feels retarded))
"Thanks," she said with a smile before pushing the door open. "It was a please meeting you." With a small wave, she was out of the door walking home. She didn't mind walking lately, it was something to keep her mind clear.
